Purchased an e-gift card as a Xmas present but after the payment was taken the order “could not be found”. The voucher/email was never received. I tried to contact them several times however have had no response. I’ve ended up opening a dispute through PayPal which they also haven’t responded to. I’m currently £100 down and have a husband with no Christmas gift.

“If I could give zero I would. I'm in the same boat as natasha, bought golf shoes for my partner £89.99 was supposed to be a Christmas present. Got an email 2 days after purchase to say they hadn't got them in stock and have issued a refund. 3 weeks later still nothing, have tried numerous occasions to contact them and have had zero reply. Fuming is an understatement 😤”

Joke of a company. Ordered an item online on 16th December. Get a cancellation email 2 days later saying I will be refunded 3-5 business days. Still waiting so try to contact customer services and they say 7 business days to reply.

Order placed, and money taken really quickly. Within three or so hours the order was cancelled due to item either not being available, or the item not meeting their high standards. Item was still showing as available in stock on their website, and still did days later, despite orders being cancelled. My mother in law has had the exact same issue.
No money has been refunded, despite the “you will be refunded within 3-5 business days”.
Have tried to contact and been unsuccessful with getting a refund.
Won’t be ordering again.

I ordered a Christmas present on 6 December. I still hadn’t received it last week so I telephoned on 3 separate occasions to be told an issue had been raised and it was being sent from a shop. The last time I telephoned I was told the system was down so they couldn’t check my order and that someone would get back to me to let me know what was going on. Well, no one got back to me and I still haven’t received the present. Very frustrated and disappointed as I ordered with plenty of time for it to arrive before Christmas. Won’t be ordering from American Golf again!!

Selling items that they do not have. No one replies to emails and even though they do not have the item to send, they refuse to cancel your order.

Took money for item in-stock.
Claimed they had dispatched it (no dispatch email) and is lost with a courier.
Said they would get the courier to return the item and send out a new one?!?!

Hahaha. Couldn’t make it up. Terrible and only know after I phoned. On the other end of the line was a young chap, clearly fed up with his companies poor communication/processes and is bearing the brunt of it.

First, and last experience of American Golf. No Christmas present for relative. Ordered 11 working days in advance (with 3-5working day delivery). Not a care in the world from AG.

Online purchases an absolute sham. Bought something, cancelled my order but then took the money 2 days later. Have spoken to customer service and said " Money should go back into my account 3-5 working days"
At least when you go in the actual shop the products are there. Very poor service online.

Wish I checked trustpilot before I placed an order with these clowns!

They sell things that aren’t in stock. Then don’t update you at all that the items aren’t available. Leaving you to speak with their online chat team, only to realise that not only has your item not been shipped, it doesn’t actually exist.

Scammers, took my money for an item that wasn't even in stock claimed they had refunded me the same day. Waited five working days as advised to have to chase and still waiting for refund 2 weeks later to be told today it got stuck in there system and will have to wait a further 5 working days to receive my refund. This was a Christmas present that I have not been able to reorder as no spare funds and no refund received. The most annoying thing is they're still advertising the item for sale that they don't have in stock apparently. Robbed my money stay well away.

Bought a golf bag in the Black Friday sale. After no dispatch for over 3 weeks and 2 unanswered emails I sent a FB message. 24 hours later u receive a reply saying they didn't actually have the item they were selling and had cancelled the order. No refund as yet. Stay away from this online shop.
PS PAYPAL HAVE NOW INFORMED ME THAT A REFUND IS ON THE WAY. NO FURTHER CLARIFICATION OR ANY CONTACT FROM AG.

Unbelievable service
Took me 6 goes to get my order took my money and then said no order
Have emailed and still no order or money back
And still no response 😭
Stay away absolute joke of a company avoid like the plague

Have tried to order junior clubs for a xmas present 3 times but the order doesn't complete without explanation.

08/12/24 Would be a 1 star review but using amazon pay has done the trick. After that, no problems and collected within 2 hours 👍🏻 Harder than it needs to be though on the website.

With the help of Gareth the assistant at the Heaton park store, who sorted me out with all that I wanted.

Zero stars if possible
Ordered and they sent me cancellation email few hours later and to wait for money to return to bank 3-5 days
Item still shows in stock
Sales rep on phone rude and said oh it's not a live system

Bought a pair of RIFE rain gloves that proved absolutely useless. Particularly disappointing as I would expect AG to carry out some testing of the product before offering it for sale for a particular purpose. Pay a little more and get something that does the job.

Cancelled my order no explanation, tried contact customer care and they are suddenly offline, have to wait 7 days for a refund so can't purchase with another company, and BTW the clubs I ordered still on sale !!! Never use this company

American Golf is still not acknowledging that women play golf too! Despite a huge amount of stock for men in-store and many PR claims to the contrary, and strategic sponsorship deals, there is still no stock for women.

Twice recently attempted to buy items from
American Golf only for the order to be cancelled. Never happened to me with any other company. Really need to sort your IT. Reading other reviews this sounds like a common occurrence for AG. When the online experience from competitors is so good, why bother with AG?

I recently went to get my son fitted for some golf clubs. When we arrived for the fitting we were told they didn't do a fitting service for left handed players. They didn't have any junior left handed clubs in the store (limited adult selection too), so the most they could do was measure his height. The man who dealt with us was apologetic but his promise to follow up on email our options was not followed through. Extremely disappointing and to have no facilities for left handed players is shocking.
