DO NOT USE the Southampton branch, had gentlemen round to to do unrestricted survey for cavity wall insulation & was given a quote which clearly showed he had full access as he stated about, smoke detectors & suspended floors etc on the inside, also stated about 14 openings (i.e. windows & doors etc) & that they would need access to neighbours garden to insulate the extention (so clearly had full access to outside of property as well). Price was agreed & on date of installation, they suddendly announced there was some blockage in the cavitys & they wanted another £900 on top of agreed price.
Upon pointing out that their survey sheet clearly showed that their surveyor had 'ticked' the section that read 'have all walls been checked for suitability' they argued over several emails & phone calls that the surveyor didnt have full access to the property, then i eventually got a letter saying they were cancelling the contract because i wouldnt agree to their 'extra charges".
I have reported them to trading standards & i am looking to take them to court for their breach of contract.
Footnote, head office couldnt even bother to the 3 emails that i sent them about it either, so its clear that their 'business tactics' are indicative throughout the whole business/all branches.

Contacted them for a quote for cavity wall insulation. The person I spoke too was really helpful and asked lots of questions that no one else had asked regarding ventilation and window vents. We had Liam come and do a survey which was really good he drilled a few test holes and check the cavity’s and confirmed that we didn’t have any insulation. We then discussed the works and agreed to have them carried out . Work was booked In same week which was fantastic. On the day of the installation the engineers turned up on time and did a great job and cleaned up afterwards really happy with these guys would recommend to anyone.

Very efficient from first contact with the office for a quote, through to booking and installation. The quote was competitive, and the surveyor was well informed and happy to explain and answer questions. The 2 installation teams (loft and wall) were professional, pleasant and neat and tidy. Can't fault them.

I used A&M to extract my old foam cavity wall insulation and refill with a newer more efficient bead system.
At the start of the extract the operative put some tape around windows and doors to stop any ingress of material during the extract. Where he had taped it was generaly effective, some minor seepage, only to be expected.
He did miss sealing up a number of appartures through the walls, including internal air bricks and pipework to the boiler and sink; these were areas not hidden and easily accessible.
Post the extract there were areas of gross contamination in a kitchen cupboard, the cooker extractor and a few other areas. The operator did volunteer to use my hoover to clean up after I pointed out some of the contamination. It needed more than a hoover, all areas also needed washing down to ensure the fine dust was removed and the cooker extractor needed stripping down to clean out.
The infill went well.
Would I use A&M again? Certainly not for the extract. There was little effort in ensuring all potential routes into thE house were identified and sealed. I was left exposed to gross amounts of old cavity wall foam that was now a fine fibre.

We had some cavity wall insulation installed on 18/05/2023. They came around a few weeks before and gave a resonable quote. They installed within a day (0900-1600). Polite, professional and kept us up to date throughout the work done. They explained everything throughout the process and about how the CIGA certification would be issued shortly afterwards. They found a problem with access for the ends of the house on the day and quickly found a workable solution that meant they could still complete on the day.

The only negative was that we have a white lime rendered house and the coloured lime pointing for the holes were more yellow than I anticipated/hoped for. Although, I was checked with regularly by the installer and made aware this may be the case, so this was not a suprise at the end. I should be able to use masonry paint afterwards to cover up the off-white spots on the wall.

Kept me informed as we went along, good information and thoroughly explained my options. On the day, worker was friendly/professional and actual work was unintrusive as I work from home. No issues recommending this team!

I chose this company as their National Sales Manager based in Cardiff was one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever come across as not only did he know his products and methodology inside out but also was extremly patient to explain things in a comprehensible manner.
The problems started with their surveyor who (despite me asking whether he had) did not take photographs of the 4 air vents in one wall that caused problems later for the cavity wall insulation installer who had no replacements with him when he came to inject the cavity wall beads. The cavity wall insulation and loft insulation were programmed to be undertaken on the same day but at the last moment the wall insulation was pushed back a couple of days. Inconvienient but not disasterious. The loft insulation installer arrived on time and immediately got to work as he said he had several other jobs to do on the same day! He was on his own and you could hear him struggling so I helped him by lifting up the wool packs to him in the loft. He seemed to be in a rush and completed the job in less than 1 1/2 hours (for a 3 bedroom house including removing all the old hessian pipe lagging and replacing with new foam pipework insulation plus lagging the cold tank), In his haste he did not notice that he had disturbed some pipework whilst installing the new foam insulation that created a water leak. This was only discovered the next day when my wife noticed water streaming down the walls of the hall downstairs. I immediately telephoned A&M Energy's Swindon office and they contacted their Field Manager to come and investigate the problem. Luckily he was not far away and arrived within the hour. He immediately assessed the problem and spoke to his office. They immediately instructed him to tell us to get in an emergency plumber and A&M would pay the cost. He left and the plumber arrived. He repaired the leak but there was so much water on the loft flooring that it caused a section of the main bedroom ceiling to collapse! A&M immediately sent the Field Manager back and after speaking to his Manager she asked to speak to me. She profusely apologised and said to just to go ahead and get the ceiling repaired and redecorated together with re wallpapering the whole landing, stairwell and lobby as the wallpaper was badly stained by the leaking water. Two days later the cavity wall insulation installer arrive a little late as he also had completed a job before coming over. He also was on his own that meant he had to drill all the holes, inject the beads and refill all the holes by himself. How many times he went up and down his ladder I lost count. Finally, the problem of the air vents arose as he was not expecting the as the surveyor had not included them on his work sheet. Again the Field Manager became involved chasing around various builers merchants to get the reguired items. What was surprising to me was that when the installer had finished (approx 4:30pm) he was asked by his office to go on to another job near Oxford!
Out of this whole saga two main points arise: 1) The installers have so much work to do that it make them rush things. Whether their workload is self inflicted by the guys taking on too much so as to boost their earnings or they are pressurised by their managerment - I cannot say. Secondly, the actions of the Swindon Manager Mrs R. Moran, were a Master Class in Customer Relations She immediately took ownership of the problem without hesitation. When I finally, due to delays both with the builder and decorator, was able to forward copies of the bills to Mrs Moran, a cheque was receive but return post the next day for the whole amount - no guibbling!!!. I cannot commend her highly enough. As I say she could give a Master Class in how to manage customer relations. Would I use them again, well based on the Company's Management - yes, but as I said in the title dealing with A&M Energy is a bit like the Curate's egg - good in parts!

Just been verbally abused by one of your drivers in St Helens, because he didnt have enough room to drive past me. Swearing and shouting at the top of his voice, beeping his horn. Got two under 4s in the car, one of them upset and scared. What a horrible person to employee. certainly wouldn't want them in my house doing work!

My experience with this company was that they were very professional and friendly. Appointments were kept to the agreed times and they called the day before to confirm the survey and installation times. They were able to complete the work within a reasonably quick timeframe after my initial call. They washed the dust off the windows after drilling holes for the insulation and filled these nicely with a good cement based product at the end of the job.

A & M carried out a cavity wall survey on my house and gave a quote for the job, which was very reasonable. An installation engineer later came and completed the installation in a very professional manner.
I have nothing but praise for the way it was all handled and the benefit of the insulation has been felt immediately, with lower energy consumption and a warmer house.

To be honest I was shocked! I rang for a quote and was told to email a photo of my house and someone would do a quote off Google maps. I had no confidence that the lady was even interested in what I wanted. Absolutely no customer service at all. I am recently widowed and genuinely want to improve my home for the long term this experience was dreadful. I called the Rainford office. I would not recommend this company.

Really great service by our installer. He came back to finish the job on a Sunday which we are so grateful for. Our neighbour was very rude to him and he stayed utterly professional in such circumstances. Thank you for doing such a good job. We can already feel a difference.

My survey was professionally done, an estimate was supplied in writing, the job was scheduled and carried out. The two teams arrived the day they said they would, worked quickly and were done quickly. The price was reasonable. I thoroughly recommend A and M.

Three appointments cancelled - one half an hour before the appointment as the surveyor was on holiday - weird. Waited today but another no show so rang to enquire and told the surveyor was off sick but no one had thought to call. Sorry, but lack of communication is not acceptable.

Really impressed with A&M. Needed advice about insulating small house - surveyor had appointment same day and was very thorough. Work carried out 2 days later to high standard. Very much appreciated in this freezing weather! Would definitely recommend.

A&M recently extracted the failed cavity wall insulation, Macaulay did a great job, kept us informed and tidied up afterwards, we then had the CWI replaced with EPB insulation. The complete job was done to a high standard and at a reasonable price, thank you A&M

We contacted the Leeds branch as they were the nearest to us. The survey was done within a couple of weeks of us contacting A&M and there was no pressure put on us to proceed. We actually already had cavity wall insulation, however it was well over 20 years old, though still in fairly good nick. We decided to go ahead with the removal of the old insulation and installment of the Energystore Superbeads. The work was done in the third week of January. The workmen were friendly and efficient and explained any questions I had. The difference the new install has made is quite unbelievable! We only have a coal fire and the house stayed at 20°C for hours after the fire went out. This was money well spent! Thank you to the Leeds team! I will wholeheartedly recommend your services!

A&M (Southampton) did a thorough survey of our house and were able to undertake the work the following day. All the A&M team were friendly and very professional. They worked quickly and efficiently and cleared up after the work had been completed.

Based on the survey and the installation I'd recommend A&M.

A&M Energy Solutions are a very professional business , I can vouch for this having worked with them for over 5 years on our New Build sites in the NW.
I chose to use them at my own home for a loft top up and they delivered as promised , on time and a quality installation.
Geoff , the installer was a very pleasant and conscientious gentleman , covered all floor surfaces and cleaned up on his way out.
