Have recently completed house purchase after 10 months of work. Throughout my contact at alexander Grace law has been helpful and kept me informed at all stages, including providing direct contact details to allow me to stay current (10 month is due to a sale falling through due to buyers) - cannot fault Luke Swarbrick who looked after my sale and purchase from start to finish 10/10

I think it’s a very busy time for conveyancing at the moment therefore it did take longer than we thought however one of the parties in our chain did pull out three quarters of the way through therefore that played a part. We’re relieved and lucky we’ve got the keys to our property in these uncertain times at the moment and very grateful to Luke!

Terrible, just terrible. It took 6months to complete on a one bed first time buyer with no chain. Absolutely devoid of any kind of communication skills. I can count the amount of messages received from them on one hand. I had to get my financial advisor to get in contact because they were doing nothing in any sort of timely fashion. It took two weeks to acknowledge they received my permission to get searches started.
Just avoid these “conveyancers”

So easy to work with. The whole team especially Jessica was there if and when we needed them and always responded quickly and honestly. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Sadly it's not possible to give zero stars, so one will have to do.

We used AGL for our sale and purchase in 2021. Initially, they seemed pretty average, not the fastest, not the quickest response to communication but things were moving.

However, more than 18 months after our purchase, we have come to remortgage and it transpires that our land has not been registered with the Land Registry. It took more than a month after this came to light to get a response from AGL but it appears that they hit a complication and, rather than trying to resolve it or letting us know, they let the application lapse. This is despite us paying for it to be completed.

We are now unable to complete our remortgage until this is resolved. Karen does not respond to any of our emails, only to our financial advisor, and they have offered no assurance that they will actually be able to complete the registration. Even some communication from them would be appreciated in this situation. We will now incur mortgage costs as a result of their incompetence, not to mention the stress this is causing us.

My only advice would be to avoid, avoid, avoid.

I had previously used AGL for a purchase and was looked after by Luke Swarbrick and his team and was therefor happy that Luke is acting for us for our current purchase and sale (due to complete on 24th Oct but exchanged on 14th Oct).
I have found Luke to be very polite and professional and he has answered my queries either by phone or email in a timely fashion.
The whole process has been slow but this has been due to our buyers situation and not ours.
Thank you to Luke and his team for their work to this point.

Shocking from start to finish, unable to talk to them on the phone, emails ignored then get cocky replies from staff when you ask for help. Unhelpful and difficult to communicate with especially if you are unsure about things.

Our broker Harm from Cavalier Financial Solutions recommended Alexander Grace Law for the purchase of our first home. We got accepted on a house in February. Hayley Dzydzan and Chelsie Ralph were allocated to our case. Unfortunately we withdrew our offer in August as we had difficulties with the current homeowner, interest rates , mortgage lenders etc. We got accepted on another house in August. I asked if we could stay under Hayley and Cheslie. It has taken 8 WEEKS TO COMPLETE! Thank you both so much for everything. I feel like I am on cloud 9 right now , it finally happened :)

You have both been fantastic. From day one you both looked after everything, keeping me up to date with proceedings almost daily. We do not have a bad word to say. Thank you so much for the excellent work from start to finish!!!

Used AGL for sale and purchase of our new home, and they were fantastic. We were asssigned Team Mercer, and had most communication with Dena, Kamila and Kate. They were super helpful, quick to respond to any queries and were more than happy to advise us when we asked. Would definitely recommend using AGL for any conveyancing. We have gone through this process previously, so knew how stressful it can be; but Team Mercer massively helped in making the process as smooth as possible.

I used AG Law to conveyance my house sale and house purchase. The service was professional, courteous and efficient all the way through. It's hard to believe that these people don't actively try to sabotage our home purchase, out of sheer pettiness. They are more concerned in taking down negative reviews, rather than doing the job they're being paid to do.

We started at the end of May, and we're still begging them on a daily basis. They sent enquiries on the 7th September, and then wasted almost an entire month, before they remembered to send additional enquiries on the 4th of October. We still don't know if they are satisfied with the responses.

We were supposed to complete on the 29th of September, they just ignored this deadline and didn't do a single thing to meet it. Now the last possible day to complete is the 18th, and they absolutely do not care.

Three families are being held hostage by Lyn Cornish and her team and they just refuse to even communicate let alone do their job. Everyone is calling them, and they won't even discuss the matter. Literally, they do not acknowledge anyone. Not the progression agents at either side of the chain, not my solicitors, not myself, or our buyer who's hired them and is actually paying them.

The combination of entitlement and incompetence is unlike anything I've ever seen.

Update: On the day we agreed to exchange contracts, we found out they messed up the forms requesting funds from the lender. Two days later, we were told that they haven't actually reviewed responses to enquiries, haven't verified the buyer's ID, and possibly lost the signed contracts they received over a month ago. Even now, Lyn Cornish still refuses to communicate about her plan to resolve this issue and won't speak to anyone, not even the buyer who they're working for.

Update #2: It's now end of October and Lyn Cornish and her team still refuse to communicate with agents or their client. A couple days ago, they emailed my solicitors, chasing replies to enquiries, which had been answered nearly two months ago. They also said they need the replies —hundreds of pages— sent over fax. We have either discovered a wormhole and it's 1970, or it's another sad excuse from AGL to buy more time and continue making everyone's lives miserable.
