I am so happy and satisfied with my AKC pet insurance. My English bulldog is 6 months now and has undergone surgery on his eyes. He developed cherry eye. He was suffering and has been to eye specialist several times. My insurance responded within 2 days and paid 80% of my claim. I would highly recommend AKC pet insurance. They are very professional and always send an EOB so you can what was paid. Thank you

I just wanted to thank your company for saving me money. I registered my dog for breeding just before he rebroke his leg. I didn’t even know I was getting insurance with the registration until after his ER trip. I called and they said wait until I was done with getting his second opinion and procedures for his leg. Thankfully I was able to file my claim within your 30 day free insurance time. Your company has shown me that continuing coverage for my dog would only waste my money as you covered absolutely nothing.

Kaylagh, He broken the same leg for a second time but you only reached out to the er veterinarian and not his normal veterinarian who I clearly stated I received a second opinion from and preformed his surgery required. Additionally your company ASKED me to post my review on my experience with your company on this website because you didn’t actually read my email to you. I’m sorry your company doesn’t like my honest review. It won’t change my opinion about your company’s work ethics. If we were talking about a human rebraking their leg their insurance would cover it.

I called AKC Pet-partners and spoke to a very nice lady named - Nicky on 03/11/2022. She walked me through the whole process along with my mistakes, she was able to help me forward a claim and invoice via cell phone. Nicky, thank you for being so courteous, patient and professional with me.

Today I would like to thank Nicky for answering all of my questions and more on several of my recent claims. She was kind and professional and explained everything to me and left nothing out. When I got off the phone I had a clear understanding of what was covered and she also took the time with me that I needed to truly understand the claim process. I told her I was new at this And she said that it was fine and she would walk me through it. I can’t say enough good words about AKC.

Kat eagerly assisted me in clearing up a claim error.

We have recently added two dogs to our family, and insured them both. But as they were months apart and I was new to the world of insurance for my pets, I was very confused when we combined their policies. Michaela was very helpful with me on the phone, helped me combined the puppies policies, and was even able to recommend to me the best way to insure them. When the drafts came out of my account, I was again confused. I emailed in and Michaela again was very quick to respond, and very thorough with her explanation. I am so very thankful for her help, patience and understanding as we venture into insuring our purebred babies.

We've had AKC Pet insurance for several years. Our dog recently started having intestinal issues, so we had a series of visits to the vet. Unfortunately the source of the problem hasn't been determined, so we're still working though it.

I was thankful we had insurance, and to be fair, they did cover 3 of the 5 claims. That's why I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1.

However, they are asking for more information about the remaining 2 claims. Normally this would seem reasonable, but the problems with our dog began in April of 2021, and they are requiring EVERY medical record dating back to January of 2019. All of this for two $20 claims. I don't have every medical record going back that far, and I've switched vets so I don't have access to the prior vet's records. The dog hasn't had any ongoing issues, but they're making it very difficult to satisfy their requirements.

Kat helped me decide if I needed pet insurance by explaining in detail what each add on feature covered. I explained this was my fist time have pet insurance she explained the claims submission process. After our conversation I felt confident my pet’s needs were covered. Very polite and friendly

AKC Pet Insurance makes the process to upload a claim on their website, super easy and quick!

We have a 2 year old German Shepherd. Our boy had an adverse reaction to anesthesia plus has had ongoing issues with allergies. We have a "wellness" plan with our Vet's office, but none of the extras would be covered. The pet insurance has been a godsend. I would highly recommend it. Refunds are easy to process and explanations come with the refunds. Thank you so much.

They are always super timely with responding to claims and very helpful!! Customer service is a A+ the people are always so sweet!

This was a stressful illness for our dog, but she is fine and the claim and payment info. from AKS Pet Ins. was super easy and fast. I'm so glad we went with them. Hopefully we won't need it anymore, but, it's good to know we have it for "Labrador" life.

Just wanted to take a moment and say thank you. I've never had pet insurance before and this process has just been smooth and painless. Insurance is something you hope you don't have to use, but I appreciate your timely review/processing/payments and making what is a difficult experience when your pet (Harper) has an injury/surgery much easier. My sweet girl is recovering from her TPLO surgery on Friday 9/17 and I just appreciate having you as a partner in her care.

I had some difficulty getting access to the portal but eventually they got me access to it.

I had questions how to file a claim. I've never had pet insurance before but I now have 3 Siberian Huskies and I make sure they are in good health. When I called the girl took me step by step what to do. Thank you so much for caring, and taking time with me.

My first claim for my puppy's injury was denied because they claimed it was preventative care and I didn't have the examination add-on to my injury/illness plan. My puppy injured her paw outside and was bleeding all over the kitchen and house floors and it was an urgent care/emergency vet visit. I guess it is better that I find out early that they find bull crap reasons to not reimburse me than for me to pay into the insurance for a year or more and be denied future claims. Save your money and find a better pet insurance company to invest into your pet.

Kat with AKC was amazing with us! I called in a panic because our pet insurance had expired. I was within a certain time frame to reinstate the policy and back paid premiums. Our puppy had to get emergency surgery yesterday! Kat explained all the different policy options for us and what she recommended for Mila, our 4 month old Belgian Malinois. Kat was a lifesaver. Everything seemed to be going wrong in our life at that moment, besides calling AKC and speaking with her. Thank you for giving us piece of mind and caring about Mila as much as we do! It truly is a gift to have. I work at State Farm insurance and I am all about selling the promise. Thanks Kat with AKC!!!

Thieves who do not pay claims owed. I purchased an annual policy for my 9 week old puppy on 2/10/21 to go into effect on 2/11/21 to 2/11/22 to include: companion care, exam plus, hereditary plus, defender, alternative plus. They were giving away one month free companion care which I did not want or ask for. My payment on 2/10/21 was $96.49 because of the free one month of companion care. Each month thereafter I paid $104.54. There is a 30 day waiting period for the hereditary and defender coverage. My puppy went for his 16 week shots on 3/13/21 and the vet noticed he was developing an underbite. Long story short, it’s a hereditary issue and he needed dental surgery to the tune of $4354.50. They have denied my claim saying that the policy really didn’t go into effect until 3/11/21-02/11/22- that would be an 11 mos policy not a 12 mos policy. They have denied my claim in violation of my State’s law. I have a second puppy that I pay $90/mos for insurance - I pay close to $200/mos for my puppies but they don’t cover claims that are clearly covered. If anyone else has been screwed over my this company, please reach out
