I don’t often write reviews but feel compelled to on this occasion as the service was excellent from start to finish always keeping me updated and the installer was friendly, professional and I was overly happy with where the cables were run and he left all areas clean and tidy. The charger worked perfectly first time and since very impressed and would recommend affordable EV charging solutions in a heartbeat.

Great price, getting my qoute was a simple process, great use of whatsapp. From qoute to fitting around 2 weeks but that was more than acceptable. Easy process throughout.

The service was incredibly quick, Stephen was informative as to the advantages of the different chargers. The electricians gave helpful advice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone wanting to install an EV charger.

Overall I’m not very impressed with the service. I initially booked and fitting was a few days later. Deposit paid all seemed very good…Then due to this company reading the postcode wrong I was delayed until the Sunday. On the Saturday I received a call from the fitter to delay further with what felt like a one in a million excuse!
I was then delayed until the following Friday.
On the day the fitting itself was seamless.
I feel very frustrated by the delay.

I had an almost 5-star experience with AFFORDABLE EV Charging Solutions. Their service is quite good—they respond to queries quickly, and the site survey was hassle-free. Instead of an in-person visit, I simply sent photos via a link they provided or through WhatsApp. They also offer the most affordable rates among EV charger installers and suppliers, while still recommending quality chargers suited to your needs. If you have a specific charger in mind, they can suggest alternatives with the same functions at a more budget-friendly price.

However, there was one major inconvenience. I was scheduled for an installation, arranged to work from home, and even adjusted my child-minding schedule to accommodate it. But by midday, when I asked about the electrician’s arrival, they assumed he was already at my place—only to discover he had abandoned them. The owner personally called to apologize, which I appreciated, but unfortunately, my entire day was already wasted.

They later called to reschedule for the following day, meaning I had to rearrange my work setup again. I inquired about compensation for the hassle, and they offered a £25 discount, which I’m still waiting to receive.

Aside from this unfortunate setback, everything else was handled well, and I’m now waiting for my electrical certificates.

I would thoroughly recommend this company. Stephen was prompt and his communication was excellent. The price was competitive too. Dan, who did my install was punctual, polite and did an incredible job with what was a complex 30m cable installation. If you need an EV charger installed, go to this company.

Not a single issue from start to finish. Easy to organise date of installation and equipment arrived in good time.

Installation was carried out and all rubbish removed.

Thru to installation, Engineer very knowledgeable of what was required and carried out all neat and tidy.

Octopus Ev charger had a fault, initial Q&A went well we agreed to replace the contactor in the dedicated EV panel. Electrician arrived ( I still don’t know if the new contactor was fitted) I was told the relay needed changing, which I sourced and fitted myself. EV charger still not working.

Impressed by the knowledge and due diligence shown by the team as part of their online survey. The team were extremely responsive to any questions and their approach resulted in a good quality, safe installation.
This included securing the necessary approvals for the additional electrical load, groundworks associated with running 25m armoured cable and a tidy mounting of the charger.
We did experience an issue with the charger 'out of the box' and the team ensured prompt corrective action from Ohme.
