Adverts.ie Anmeldelser

Paid for a product, then the guy disappeared. Adverts.ie doesn't care about anything they just said "go to the police". Never more.

The team deserves an updated review. Since they implemented two‑factor authentication, Adverts.ie has become a much cleaner and safer place. Today I ended up chatting with a very sophisticated scammer, no idea how they got in, but the Adverts team spotted the issue and disabled the account before I even had a chance to report it. The scammer was so convincing that even I doubted a few times whether they were actually a scammer or not. Great work.

The site allows scammers and businesses to flood the website with multiple adds, hardly can find the items you need as of result, than you have buy in bulk people that buy say all the TV ‘ ( most likely for hotels to exchange old TV’s) not giving anyone else to purchase a TV , this particular buyer ,scotdude99, talks down adds and sellers, has a bad attitude and disrespectful attitude towards sellers and enough bad reviews to support this, yet Eddie from adverts doesn’t care,he removed my comments calling this person out ( even if i was defending other sellers here, not myself) but he never addressed this guy’s attitude, adverts just cares about their site being overly used, as it gives them more attention, but doesn’t care about the quality of content and individual buyers, the site is slowly turning comercial, where businesses use free advertising for their products, whilst the website itself initial intent was to help small individuals ppl , which was admirable. Adverts, shame on you!

Site taken over by Eastern European tech gangs. They have quadruple accounts selling old rubbish from eBay and Amazon returns, etc. I spoke with and met the same person or his partner on different accounts in Cork. He and his pals have taken over the whole electronics and computer section.

I’ve noticed a big improvement on Adverts over the last few weeks. The platform feels much cleaner and well moderated — it appears that many scam accounts and private sellers operating commercially (without proper tax or VAT compliance) have been removed.
Eddie, Jenny, Ray and the team have always resolved any issues for me quickly and fairly, which is greatly appreciated.
It’s made a real difference to the overall quality of listings and buyer confidence. Credit where it’s due — this kind of cleanup is exactly what the site needed, and it shows a genuine effort to support legitimate sellers and protect users.

Used the site for nearly 2 decades.
Couldn't log in one day last week.
No response from support and its been over a week.

I've been using it for years . Sold and bought with no issues. I won't deal with a buyer or seller with bad reviews and so far that's kept it all relatively hassle free. I never pay to bump my ads, so for a free site I can't complain at all.

The site is full of scammers, and the site's management is in on it! But the administration doesn't block them! They always come to the aid of violators, not good users! Avoid this dump!

Extremely bad customer service. Blocked my account for no reason and emailed multiple times looking for an explanation but no response in a month.

Great site for years suddenly overnight I am blocked for no reason given can't talk to them no contact e mailed many times

Was Sold an item that doesn't work. Refused to give me refund. Their team barely replied to my emails . V bad customer service

Please save your money paying for ads. In the Tech section, as others have stated professional Poilsh tech accounts are running rampant with tonnes of old scrap they have been running for years on end. The site is destroyed by them. I am sure it's mostly the same two guys. audiorepairs and Zulus with a myriad of accounts.

I’ve been using Adverts for over a decade and it’s always been a great platform. I’ve bought and sold a few things, but the best part is the free items – I’ve picked up loads of really good things over the years and have given away plenty that were no use to me but useful to others.

There’s a huge variety of items and the interface is very user-friendly (both app and web). There are handy features like alerts, watch lists, saved searches, and the option to search nearby. The feedback system also helps you decide who to deal with.

Customer support was excellent the one time I needed it – my account was blocked because I added a URL, but Eddie from support reactivated it within hours.

The bad reviews due to scams are unfair - scammers are everywhere, and Adverts shouldn't be responsible for users sending money to strangers online.

I’d definitely recommend it to anyone.

It's gone impossible to sell genuine games as the site is filled with counterfeit copies and bootleg compilation cartridges. Absolutely nothing is done when an ad is reported.

Despite repeated warnings of a ROMA scammer operating in Cork under various accounts after he got initially banned, Adverts staff protects him and will ban your account instead for noticing him in operation. Stay well clear of this site.

User Block no Reason and Poor Support.

All resolution on user and acess problems are direct to Support which doesnt work.. More than 2 months user with more than 3y and 200++ feedbacks
Your account has been blocked. Please contact supportATadverts.ie for more details.
And theres user acting on postage for spamming and other things but theres nobody working on support to guide ins what is going on?

Scammers are treated much better than actual advertisers

Don't waste your money paying for an ad as stated by somebody else in Cork tech sections. No sooner is your ad up on the site it is gone from the main page. It is filled with shop accounts selling hundreds of items that are being constantly deleted and re bumped to the top. Usually it's old tat 0.1 pc of the population wants. The computer and electronics section is for unscrupulous shops selling bits of dodgy repaired tech. Individual private sellers do not stand a chance.Be on the look out for old pc parts as well, that are placed inside a new case with lights. This is a well known trick to fool people who have no knowledge of PC's . The parts are all taken from other rigs and repaired with varying longevity . Usually not more than 3 to six months of use.You will have no warranty and no comeback. Buy only from people who have receipts for warranty of any items. Also bring witnesses to any deal. The site can be made great by removing the scammers and bringing it back to the people and not shops.

A nightmare of a site, constantly having to sign in, staff not helpful and terrible slow to reply, really terrible support, the worst ever site, constantly has problems. Allows people on it that should not be allowed. They are only interested in people/scammers that wants to give them money to do nothing. Avoid this site

The site is, in my opinion, a cesspit or Mos Eisley of the Irish online market place! I got scammed and can’t get through to their support.
I take it they don’t want to deal with it and the user who scammed me is still online!
