Professional and proficient! We were only moving 5 mins up the road but everyone knows any kind of moving house is an ordeal and stressful. These guys removed the stress and we were moved old to new within two hours! Would definitely recommend and will 100% use again in the future!

Move from London to Scotland in April 2021. Excellent experience from start to finish. I was so uncertain about how many vans I would need and a great and sensible conversation with the team helped me make a decision. The guys arrived on time on the day, were very respectful of my belongings, quick and pleasant. A few minutes after they left I realised I had forgotten 2 bags of clothing and when I called, they turned around and came back to collect them - I was so grateful. Everything was delivered to my new address the following day ontime and with no issues. Had considered a 'man-and-van' option but so glad I paid the little bit extra for a proper, professional job.

Moving house is such a stressful experience. A long distance move to another country is even more stressful. The guys at 1st Movers were so helpful and pleasant to deal with. They provided an excellent service and the move proceeded very smoothly. Having been burned previously by poor removalist services, I was very careful who I chose this time around. I would recommend the services of 1st Movers if you want an efficient, stress free experience.

Relocated to Cambridge from Edinburgh and decided to go with 1st movers as they were by far the cheapest of all the moving companies. No regrets whatsoever. Sarah from 1st Movers, who organised everything, was super friendly and helpful and the two blokes who did the actual moving were efficient and friendly. I moved from Edinburgh to Cambridge using 1st movers recently. The move went off without a hitch, for the best price I could find online. They were quick, flexible, easy to communicate with, and very friendly.

We employed these guys for our house move within Edinburgh, which included moving a number of boxes, large furniture and an electronic piano from one property (and a separate storage facility) to another. Sarah fully organised our move, and was able to adjust details with us to ensure we got the right type of removal and at our preferred time. The removal guys arrived bang on time despite the heavy snow, were really kind and friendly, and got straight to work. No fuss, no drama, exactly what we wanted, and very reasonably priced.

My experience started off on a really good note - easy to schedule with the office, good follow-up, and a great price. The driver/mover was really nice and showed up on time and worked quickly. Upon delivery we noticed that water had leaked into the moving truck and it soaked the bottom of some of our boxes and also got into the mattress (despite it being wrapped in plastic). Everything in the boxes ended up being ok, but the mattress was so damp on one end it was not usable. I have called and emailed 1st movers a couple times to have our mattress replaced and I am told someone will get back to me, but no one ever does. It's going on 4 weeks and it looks like we are going to be out the cost of a new mattress - which offsets the good moving price. Such a shame that really friendly service has been offset by an inability to resolve our issue with the damaged mattress.
