Does the job well. Stitching leaves something to be desired on the full width straps. Functionality is the most important feature of this product, not it’s aesthetic. I am satisfied with function and value.

1st direct pools have been my go to shop for pool equipment for many years due to being price competitive. Polaris parts, filter parts, filter medium, new pumps etc. Delivery is always quick. They are happy to offer advice by phone. I have gradually shifted my pool chemical purchases to them too, and am happy with the Ambassador's brand.

Hayward eVac Pro pool cleaner. One good point :- when it is on the pool floor it does a good job. Now for the bad; 1.The cable needs de-kinking at least after every use by disconnecting from the cart. 2. The robot does a 'ballet dance' during the clean which renders it useless. 3. The fragile cable connection to the machine is stressed during every clean by the in-line kinking . 4. No matter what setting you choose, the machine will spend ages trying to clean the sides which sets off the ballet dance or will lie on its back like a stranded beetle.
All in all, these wired machines have problems. I would recommend you fill in your pool as, with the cost of heating, it is more trouble than it's worth. Or maybe make it a fish pond.

AVOID - same for other customers, 1stDirectPool s draws you in with discounted prices and then has a £25 surcharge when you order less than 100sq ft.
This surcharge you need to select as a customer as an additional option - its not something that their website does automatically which is illogical! One would think that's their problem and 1stDirectPools has admitted as much (we are getting the "situation" resolved) but is unwilling to concede.

Poor e-commerce for a company that prides itself for being the leading online pool equipment retailer. They then just send me the other items of my order, after offering to cancel, only to state that chemicals can't be returned. So I am stuck with what I ordered to get free delivery on the solar cover that never came.

Allowed me to order a pool cover, took my payment then emailed at say was below a minimum size therefore a £25 surcharge applied.

Hannah was extremely helpful and found exactly what I needed, posted it to me and I received it the next. Excellent service, many thanks

Can’t recommend this company highly enough. Great prices, excellent technical knowledge and fantastic customer service. Everything I’ve ordered has arrived next day and when something arrived damaged (not their fault) it was replaced without question. Ashley in particular has been an absolute star, being super patient (despite me constantly phoning for advice!), and even going the extra mile to make sure that everything that we needed was delivered before my installer went on holiday. Very poor service. I paid over £1000 for a pool robot and it stopped working within the guarantee period . I reported the fault on 25th April......still waiting for it to be fixed and I an always having to chase them.

Had a delivery issue with DHL and contacted 1st direct and they have sent me a replacement delivery for next day delivery. What great service, brilliant.

having found 1st direct online i was not sure what to expect, but have only praise for there service, assistance and general attention to my problems. some of the help they gave me was not relevent to the items that i had ordered, which were reasonably priced and the delivery prompt. i wish the were closer to where i live .

Used company for many years. Pool heat exchanger failed after 1 year. Same chemical conditions as the exact same heat exchanger that lasted 6 years before. No refund or exchange !!! Their view was the manufacturer said the only failure mechanism was the chemicals. Totally ignoring any weld defects. Then they ask me to send it back to the manufacturer at my cost so they can tell me the same thing. Be very careful with this company. Very very poor customer service

Excellent service and quick delivery. When I had a question I phoned up and was put straight through to a person who could help.

Absolutely shocking requested parts I needed after they told me to get an engineer to check then supplied different parts not what was requested! To add to this had to pay import duty they failed to mention! Disgusting company
