Very disappointing experience. I have repeatedly received cold calls from 118 Information, even after asking them to stop contacting me. Despite my request, the calls continued.
This feels intrusive and unprofessional. Businesses should respect people’s requests not to be contacted. I am sharing this review to warn others about my experience.
They phone once a day EVERY day and leave a voicemail so even though I've blocked them I still get a voicemail every day. I'm on TPS and have never asked them to call me or enquired about them. I'll be instructing TPS to file a harassment charge.
Told them to stop calling me at least a dozen times over the last two years yet they still keep spamming me!
They keep making silent calls to me which is extremely rude and the whocallsme website classes them as a business listing scam!
The call at least once a day but the line is dead. I suspect my VOIP company has blocked them for a good reason. Avoid.
This company are calling customers to obtain details to sell onto third parties and also scammers. The girl who called me falsely made me give her some details before I caught onto her ploy. Do not ever give this company information. I was adamant that I did not want my business listed on their so called directory. She more than likely still listed my business. Very smarmy and rude girl. Thankfully I've got the business address and we also run a very good phone system which records all calls so I WILL be taking this further with them. Be warned
****to add to my experience, within 10 minutes my land line has been hounded by phone calls from call centres selling electric. Company owners are Kelly Preston and Andrew paul weatherstone. These are the people making our working lives a misery.
Never give or confirm your e-mail address to this company. They say they will increase your awareness, but it is a big lie. They just take your e-mail address and market it to companies, and you get a lot of unnecessary spam e-mails. We asked them to remove our email address and phone number but never responded.
Constantly getting spam phone calls, it's ridiculous. They get you to confirm your details and then try and sell you extra marketing. Cold calling is not cool, take me off of your stupid directory!
Nothing to do with 118118 as the name implies. 118information.co.uk claims to be owned by118 Information Limited on their website which is a non-trading company ultimately owned by 118 GROUP HOLDINGS LTD. They mass spam business information list sales emails using disposible addresses with no way to unsubscribe. Call 0121 3558600 to ask to be removed under Article 17 of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Market Location / 118 Group appear to be selling incorrect data. I have been contacted by two companies who purchased data from Market Location / 118 Group who believe that I have a company - I don’t and never have owned a company.
The company have various accreditations relating to data use and retention and are members of professional bodies - these are worthless if they don’t check the validity or accuracy of the data that they sell
Every company that contacts me using data supplied by Market Location / 118 Group will get a negative review, maybe then they will stop sending unsolicited emails
Rude and obnoxious staff, they cold call us constantly trying to be pushy about "your free listing" which is a load of crap, when you challenge them about getting yourself removed from their list they get rude and hang the phone up knowing when you call the number back it goes to and unattended voice prompt telling you to visit their website, absolute nasty bunch of fools.
Service was brilliant and helpful when updating my business information. You can tell the staff work really hard with all the negativity they are given on the calls
