Habe eine Domain gekauft weil ich mich Selbständig machen möchte, bin dann angerufen worden von dieser nummer +43 732 210478 zu mir wurde gesagt ob alles passt und ob ich noch was kaufen will. Nachdem ich noch Websitehosting bräuchte würde ich nochmal anrufen aber ich weiß nicht ob das eine echte Nummer ist oder betrüger sind. Könnte mir da jemand auskunft geben?

A technical joke: They take your money first and check the price days later.
If you have any understanding of how modern web applications and backend integrations work, stay away from World4You. Their checkout architecture is an absolute joke.
I purchased a domain for their advertised frontend price of 1 Euro. The payment went through seamlessly, and the order was confirmed. After days of complete silence with my domain stuck in "pending," I had to reach out to support twice just to get things moving.
Their support manually pushed the order to the backend, only to come back and tell me that the registry flagged it as a "premium domain" and they need more money. When I pointed out that a basic, synchronous API check should happen before the checkout is finalized to validate the resource status, their support rep blatantly admitted: "We only find out during the registration process whether this is a premium domain or not."
Let that sink in. Their system takes your money and freezes your funds without ever validating the actual cost and availability of the digital asset with the external registry beforehand. Anyone who writes web platforms and API integrations for a living knows this is a fundamental architectural flaw.
Instead of owning up to their broken system and missing logic, they brush it off and treat this amateur hour as their "standard process." A complete waste of time, locked funds, and zero technical competence. Avoid at all costs.

We would like to briefly address the topic again here: Of course, there is an API for the registration offices, so that various information such as availability status, prices, etc. can be retrieved.
We actually often only find out whether a domain is a premium domain when we try to register the domain. This is a completely normal process and nothing specific to world4you. It works the same way with other registrars because it is controlled by the registration authorities.
If we see that the domain is a premium domain and the price might change accordingly, we of course inform the customer about this and ask whether the domain should be registered as such or not.

Extremely dissatisfied with World4You
My experience with World4You has been extremely disappointing and has had a direct negative impact on my business.
I have a domain and hosting package with World4You that I use only for a very simple landing page consisting of a single HTML file and for my business email accounts. My website does not use PHP, databases, or any advanced functionality.
In 2024, my website suddenly stopped working. When I contacted World4You support, I was told that the issue was related to a PHP version upgrade and that I would need to pay approximately €60 for this upgrade. I repeatedly explained that my website is a simple HTML page and does not require PHP or a database. After several discussions, their support team eventually restored access to my website and email services without any PHP upgrade being performed.
In June 2026, I received a renewal notice claiming that I had not paid for my domain and hosting since 2025. According to World4You, I must now pay for the 2025–2026 period, the 2026–2027 renewal period, and the €56.20 PHP upgrade fee from 2024, despite the fact that no PHP upgrade was ever requested by me or implemented on my website.
I strongly believe that I paid for the 2025–2026 renewal, but unfortunately I currently do not have access to my account to verify the payment history.
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that World4You did not suspend my services throughout 2025 if they genuinely believed that my renewal had not been paid. The website and email services remained active, which naturally led me to believe that my account was in good standing.
I informed their support team that I am willing to pay the legitimate renewal fees for my domain and hosting because my business has been affected by losing access to my email accounts. However, they insist that I must also pay the disputed €56.20 PHP upgrade charge. I have email correspondence from their own support team confirming that my website is a simple HTML site and that the PHP upgrade was not something I requested.
To make matters worse, I requested access to my customer account so that I could review my records and pay the renewal fees directly. Instead, I was told to deal with a third-party debt collection agency, Lowell Group, and I am now expected to pay additional collection fees as well.
Overall, I find this situation highly unprofessional and very disappointing from a customer service perspective. I cannot understand why:
I am being charged for a PHP upgrade that I never requested, never approved, and never used.
My services were not suspended in 2025 if World4You truly believed that my renewal fees had not been paid.
My domain and hosting were renewed for 2026–2027 without my explicit agreement, yet I am now being held responsible for those charges.
As a long-term customer, I expected transparency, clear communication, and reasonable support. Instead, I have faced disputed charges, restricted account access, and debt collection involvement before being given a fair opportunity to resolve the matter directly.
Based on this experience, I am extremely dissatisfied with the way World4You has handled my account and customer support requests.

I appreciated the removal of extra charges as your below reply. However, when I want to pay the share bills, your system replies that I cannot have access to my portal to pay because you have forwarded the bills to another BILL COLLECTION company that I have to pay the original bills, including the 3rd party overhead charges! It doesn't matter how many times I asked in my emails, but I only keep on receiving the same email from your team, the same, without knowing who that 3rd party company is and how much the total bill is that I have to pay them ?!!
You have blocked my account and access to your payment portal, and my business has stopped because of this for months without any proper response. Just send the final bill and the account number I have to pay. Why is it too hard to work with your company?

The PHP fee you noticed is part of an automated security measure for older server environments, but we would be more than happy to fully cancel this charge for you. We previously sent over a quick guide on how to update the PHP version in your control panel—once this simple step is completed, the fee is completely waived. Additionally, while we always try to keep services running as long as possible to support your business, accounts with outstanding balances are unfortunately passed to our collection partner automatically after multiple reminders and temporary courtesy unlocks.
We sincerely value you as a long-term customer and want to find a fair, smooth solution together. Please reply directly to our last email or contact us with your customer number; once the PHP version is updated, we will immediately remove the disputed charge and assist you in resolving the remaining balance to fully restore your account.

Thank you for your update, and we completely understand your frustration regarding the blocked access and wanting to get this resolved as quickly as possible.
Because the account has already been forwarded to our external partner, we unfortunately no longer have direct control over the billing or payment process in our system, and we cannot accept direct payments at this stage.

Please check your inbox (and spam folder) for their correspondence, as they have the exact final balance, including any third-party fees, and the direct payment details. Once you contact them to settle the legitimate hosting fees, they will notify us immediately, and we will be able to restore your account and email access right away.
