I am extremely disappointed in woolworths. I have been writing emails about my refund that was never processed for an order I cancelled on the 1st of March. It has been more than 21 days and I have not been given my money. Nobody has followed up on the process to ensure that I have received the money. When I called customer service the agent asked me if I had called capitec, I did not understand how that was my responsibility. I am even thinking I need to get external help because no one is replying to my emails. I would like my refund back and would like to be compensated because woolworths has gone back on its word when they stated that the refund would take 21 days.

Normally love Woolworths, lately got red onions and avocado that was rotten inside. For the price you pay it is unacceptable.
Langverwacht Kuilsriver don’t order peca and carrot muffins, have asked the managers numerously. Inconvenient to go to Soneike Kuilsriver for that.

The quality of the products is top-notch, and you can really feel the commitment to sustainability in everything they sell. Every time I shop there, I discover something new and exciting. Whether I’m picking up fresh produce or stylish clothes, I know I’m making a great choice for both myself and the planet. Would recommend! ;)

Over priced foods, overpriced clothes that don't even lasts.

This is the fourth time I have complained about Woolwoorths. After covid nobody reallys care anymore. Woolworths has been my favour store for 40 years with such goo quality items but this all changed after buying three dresses that shrunk in the wash. I reported it and was told you are lucky if they get back to you. Nobody came back to me -the material was cheap and rubbish . This has happened twice now. It is not the assistance fault . Management you should of seen this complaint and investigate why. Nothing no explanation no refund. How disgracful. I will not shop there again. This happened in Windhoek .

Today at Woolworth Coffee ship they refused to take my cash in payment for my coffee. I am pretty sure that is illegal.

Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They refuse to help me, there’s nothing but problems…

The Woolworhts at Castle Gate's services are extremely poor. I went there yesterday for my 3rd time. No service at all!! When I asked the waitress where our order was she just pulled her shoulders up. I will never go back there again. I will also tell my friends and family. The previous time I was there I went to see the manager. The service didn't approve. There are some big changes to be made.

We bought a lamp chops at woolies because we were having friends and be sure that the meat is of high quality. Just to be so disappointed It tasted like beef chops

Woolworths have gone to the dogs. Their systems, people and service are no longer what it used to be. A second PnP in the making... hopefully they will go bust by 2026...

One kind gentleman named Cameron working at Woolworth's Oceans , he assisted me with a smile and made shopping so easy. Thank you Cameron.

The purpose of this posting is not to be malicious but to warn fellow shoppers.
Be very careful when ordering from Woolworths online - their courier services do not always live up to expectations.
I am sure that our experience cannot be an isolated one.
The courier service is substandard. They charged me extra for an early delivery. And on the day, the courier advocated he couldn't find Olive Wood South Estate! Despite the truth that I had left my phone number for the courier service in case of a problem. Sadly, the courier from RAM Couriers could not even bother to call us for directions or to explain the omission or delay - with the cell phone number in hand!
Woolworths declined to refund the monies paid for early delivery when made aware of the issue!
I must take a day off to receive the parcel as we do not have a concierge service at the security gate.
So, the bottom line is - consider picking up online orders from the nearest store, My strategy from now on. And don't pay for early deliveries, the company refuses to refund you when they fail to live up to expectations.
Worst of all, they refused to take responsibility or to apologise

I am so grateful that Woolworths makes it so easy for me, living in London as I do, to make purchases online for my pensioner brother in South Africa and arrange for them to be delivered to him. I came off a call to their head office about 20 minutes ago. I found the number for overseas callers very easily on the phone app, did not have to wait long for my call to be answered, and was served very kindly and efficiently by a flesh-and-blood person who solved my problem for me within minutes. Well done Woolworths!

Bought 2 x Pizza Foldovers, honestly, they are absolutely dreadful.
I only shop at Woolworths didn't see the vegan notice on the label.
Please put vegan food separately, it is like eating a lump of very expensive tasteless dough

They delivered the incorrect product but have made it my problem and something they’ve no intention of fixing the issue. The item cost R2130 so not that cheap but, as I expected the correct product, I threw the despatch note away before opening the package and seeing the wrong product. So despite a detailed invoice they will not do anything about it - it seems there is only 1 despatch note and only 1. Impossible to print a copy. Then the incompetent unfriendly “customer service” individual declared that the images of the product and an image of the barcode could not be opened in their email. They asked for these photographs which I took with my iPhone and attached the resulting JPEG files to my email. He then started insisting on PDF files ( never before mentioned) so he would not do anything. Their error but my problem and basically I could get f...d ( poetic license but accurate)

Brought 12 corona's on 17th of October and it cost $37.99 I put a complaint in and are yet to hear from them. I see they have dropped the price down to $24.90 today.

wooworths, since June 2024, have slipped in an admin fee of R47.50 PER MONTH, no matter that your account is R200 or R2000 PLUS YOU PAY INTEREST on your account as well. Many people do not realise this and end up paying more than you should. So beware of Woolies. Their produce is OK but pricey and then they even have the cheek to charge you an admin fee of R47,50 EVERY MONTH

Poor customer service

I received an incorrect item. They fetched the incorrect item and promised they would give me a gift card cause the item I ordered was out of stock. Its now has been 3weeks but i have not received anything from them and there's no communication or whatsoever

I have been trying to opt-out of marketing and promotional push-notifications from the Woolworths app for ages now.

I have "unsubscribed" and "opted out" of all marketing communications on their website (from my profile), yet they continue to send marketing push notifications on my ipad. I also can't switch off notifications from the Woolworths App as I need it for their Dash delivery services - to chat with my shopper or to view delivery updates.

Every time I bring up this issue, Woolworths consultants tell me to go on my profile and opt-out of communications (which I did ages ago) or to switch off all notifications on my app (which makes the app obsolete).

This contravenes the South African Consumer Protection Act of being able to opt-out of marketing communications. Even the Checkers 60Sixty app allows you to opt out of marketing messages.
