Our Tanzania adventure was truly magical. Emma, at Wilderness, planned everything perfectly and had us well prepared with packing list etc. We loved the variation in camps and parks. We also loved the authentic nature of the camps. The guides and camp staff were wonderful. The wildlife spectacular. Can’t wait to work with Wilderness again on a Safari adventure!

Wilderness Safaris have arranged an adventure to Zimbabwe and Zambia for me, my daughter and grandson. Kelly explained in detail all the exciting children specific activities to make this an unforgettable experience for him. Nothing was too much trouble in the planning of our holiday. This is the second trip Wilderness Safaris have organised for us and I’m sure it will be as memorable as the first.

Anneli Rudiger from Wilderness was so very helpful through the planning process. Her intimate knowledge of Namibia having grown up there was a great benefit. My trip doesn't start for a few mos but planning it was interesting & surprisingly fun. Angela assisted me through every step. She answered each question I had & was very attentive. It's so refreshing to work with people that love what they do. Everyone that has helped me so far seem to be truly passionate about sharing their love for Africa by aiding them to plan their own safari. I can hardly wait to go!

me and my wife had great trip starting with the hotel in Cape Town the location was excellent and the foods also, our visit of Stellenbosch and the hotel was also first class.
our first safari was with Singita Boulders Lodge, the experience was great and all services were very good.
the other visit was in Zambia for the Victoria Falls great locotion for the hotel and site seing,maybe the hotel is overrated for food and rooms.
second safari was in Botswana everything was above our expectation, food ,service and specially our guide Willy.
our third safari was in Namibia,we where at Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp great service food and guide Mosus was very good.

Great experience in Botswana! Amazing view of big 5 and other animals. Trip well planned and organized. Very good composition of camps. Expensive but good value-for-money. Overall: great trip and 100% recommendation.

We used Wilderness Safaris for our recent trip to Kenya (May 2022). The staff at WS was particularly helpful and creative in creating our itinerary. They listened to the type of trip we wanted and matched it perfectly. James Shortt and his operations team were professional, knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend Wilderness Safaris to plan a trip.

We stayed at two camps in Kenya - Laikipia Wilderness and Naibor and both were amazing experiences. The staff and guides at both locations made our trip extremely special and amazing. The guides at both parks were so knowledgeable and worked with us to tailor our game drives to our interests each day. I would highly recommend both of these camps and hope to visit again in the future.

We also had a local driver in Nairobi (Evans) from the Governors Collection who was simply amazing. We've never had someone go so far above and beyond our expectations.

I hope everyone can have as amazing trip as we did at these camps and using Wilderness Safaris. Can't wait to go back.

Great communication throughout the process and all around excellent service. We loved our trip!!!

All lodges were just great and different from each others .
I made many many trips since 50 years , and that was my best one by far .

Me and family stayed at 2 Wilderness lodges, the Doro Nawas in Namibia and Little Vumbura in Botswana. In both lodges, accomodation were very good standard, the staff absolutely kind and helpfull, the guides 5 stars!
On top of that, we had somme issues at Maun Airport, as Lufthansa just canceled our flight back to Europe without notice and Wilderness staff at Maun, made a terrific job helping us until a next day flight connection. They never abandon us, despite the flight bookings had nothing to do with Wilderness, until we were seated on the plane back.
The only negative point I have to point is the fact that as a professional photographer, I was very clear with the agent at Wilderness London Office explaining my photos objective in Botswana and today I think that Little Vumbura was not the correct lodge to recommend me. The time of the year (high grass and vegetation can become an issue) to do the visit, is very important and I was not aware about high vegetation that hides the animals. I believe that the commercial agents in London office, need a refreshment maybe from the guides in each lodge, regarding which potential animals we have more chance to see and understand the needs of each customer and not only selling the trip, although I realize that the Lodge is open the full year and their needs to sell all the rooms.

We have made several trips to Africa and the WS camps provided the best experiences. This special retirement trip is the first booked directly with them. The personal interaction and digital interface so far has been exemplary. It has so far been a case study in how it should be done and we are looking forward to the trip.

We stayed at the desert Rhino camp in April for a few days. We had a truly amazing once- in-a- lifetime experience: Great spot, fantastic accommodation & food, and above all great service & kindest team. The camp is about a couple of hours away from the main road. Our tip to spot a rhino took us a further 3 away: we had the feeling (not just the feeling obviously) to be very very far away from civilization, truly a priviledge (and adventure!). the Lots of animal to spot big and small. The scenery alone was so so gorgeous. We will never forget our days spent at the camp. Thank you so very much. We dream of coming back.

We just booked our second adventure in Botswana with Wilderness Safaris. Starting from the moment of contact until you are back home checking out all your amazing safari pics, well, this is the only way to go. Friendly, caring, diligent, Wilderness Safaris makes sure this is a trip of a lifetime no matter your budget. I have traveled the world, and our previous trip with Wilderness was our all time favorite. At least until the trip coming up!

Prior to the review we will say that it was the perfect safari that we had thought and planned which was executed by Wilderness Safari in an irreproachable manner. We had no surprises, what we had anticipated was exceeded in quality, service and information. It was what one could state irreproachable.
Now the question is, why was it so ?
We first identified 3 operators stating what we were looking for. One company never replied whilst the other delayed answering our queries. We received a reply from Wilderness safaris whom we had chosen years ago for a similar trip in Zambia. We spoke on the phone with Emma who immediately understood what we were looking for responding to all our inquiries and comments personally and diligently
Our priority was genuine: small but quality tented camp in a bush environment with professional Kenyan guides and drivers so that our grand children would not just look at wildlife but understand and share the importance in maintaining this unique environment and its complexity.

1. Advise on travelling
The information on Kenya entry requirements, visa, health documents, international arrival and departure were given in details and were invaluable.

2. Lodges
We were astounded at the genuine, friendly and efficient service given by all Kenyan staff and managers throughout our stay.
Tortillis Camp in Amboseli: Coming out of the plane, on the landing strip, Joseph greeted us with coffee, tea, etc, and then drove us to Tortillis whilst game viewing. Joseph is an exceptional guide, companion and his scope of knowledge of unbelievable depth in terms of nature, wildlife ranging from ants to the big fives.
The camp was personalised and professionally run, the lady assistant manager was efficient, friendly with a good sence of humour. There are outstanding views from bar areas and the privacy element of neighbouring tents was perfect. The pool was an asset but was at time noisy.

Wilderness camp in Laikipia: A charming but less sophisticated camp in a more remote and wilder environment of african bush. Great safari tents very private with a romantic element of outdoor bathroom and an outside verandah overlooking the valley. A mixture of game viewing, bathing in the river, climbing rocks, identify foot prints etc.. Ideal timing between the first and last camp where games where essentially in 4X4. Our kenyan guide/driver Steven was perfect in all senses and was able to find and follow the wild dogs pack through the bush by just following their tracks.

Offbeat Mara Camp
“Un sans faute” Dubai lost masai Bob a perfect gentleman, host, great sense of humour and a magician of surprises organising an unbelievable, magical and moving bush dinner starting with drinks around a camp fire that opened up to a silver set candle lid dinner table to celebrate two birthdays. A return to the magic land of Kenya and the thrilling masai traditional dancing and jumping, a stirring and emotional site into weawing between us all. Neither our grand children, our daughter Josephine, her husband nor ourselves can ever forget.
Once again, our guide/driver Joseph was astonishing in his knowledge of wildlife and during bush breakfast a great story teller in through african tradition.
The quality of food was remarkable in diversity, taste and presentation. The living room, bar area were extremely well decorated, confortable with the added charm of a birning fire place. The tents were again perfect and not forgetting the hot water bottle in ones bed !! The ultimate in personalised service.
