Brilliant service the WiFi worked…
Brilliant service the WiFi worked perfectly. Brilliant communication when I emailed asking questions staff very friendly they answer quickly. I’d definitely recommend them if you need temporary WiFi. So easy to send back just drop off at a Royal Mail postbox or Locker.

Great Service!
We moved into a new property and our internet was not due to be installed for a week later. I work from home and watch a lot of tv so this hit me hard!
I came across Wifi Hire and it arrived the next day after ordering on a Friday! Which is amazing service.
It was really easy to set up and it managed to use a few devices, alongside working and the tv.
Was all sent and returned via return mail so very easy.
I'd highly recommend.

The second time using Wifi Hire
The second time I hired a portable wifi from WiFi Hire. We were on Holiday in Fuerteventura and we carried around the unit and used it in the villa, pretty much 24/7.
It was great. No problems with the hire. I will use Wifi Hire again.

Charged £80+ for 2 patchy days
I was charged £80+ for two days of not great connection.
They wouldn't give my deposit back. I couldn't get to a post office immediately after using, so they got the router back a few days late, but no excuse to take the whole deposit.
I had to put the router outside to get a half decent connection, even then it was patchy and my work video calls were interrupted. This was in South West London, SW18.

This has been looked into, and I can see after your hire period ended and you had not posted the device back to us, a customer service team member contacted you and also provided you with a hire extension link , so you could extend your hire for a longer period if you needed the device beyond your initial hire period. But I can see you didn't pay for a hire extension.
After checking the Royal Mail tracking page, it shows you posted back the device 5 days after your hire ended.
A hire can be extended for if needed for longer than the period it was hired for by either emailing us to request a hire extension or using the hire extension link included in the hire confirmation email you received after placing a hire.
Regarding the network speeds you received in your location,
in situations where there is a local/regional telecom mast issue affecting the local area where a device is being used, our standard procedure involves investigating the speed issue first to identify the cause and see if it can be resolved remotely. We then check to see if an alternative network (which isn't experiencing a telecom mast issue at that local area) is available.
I have searched the customer service inbox, and I can see the customer service team didn't receive any message from you during your hire period about experiencing speed issues.
Unfortunately, we were not made aware of the network issues you experienced in your location.

Where do I start?
Where do I start? Item arrived 2 days late, to my card billing address NOT the stated delivery address. As this was the house I had moved out of, it took 10 days to retrieve the item. I didn't receive the order acknowledgement email(only the dispatched email) so wasn't able to contact them and they didn't reply to my online message through the website. By the time I had it in my hands, it was time to send back and my home wifi had been connected. So it was a complete waste of money for me!!

I have checked our system, and it shows the delivery address you provided is the same as the billing address you provided when you placed your order. Hence the item was dispatched to the delivery address in your order
Regarding the delivery location, I have searched the customer service inbox and I can see a customer service team member emailed you on the 6th of July to let you know that the billing address was entered as the shipping address on your order, which is why it was sent to that location. We advised you on how to retrieve the device from that address, but unfortunately, we did not receive a response.
Regarding your hire confirmation email, when you placed your order, you would have received 2 emails, A payment receipt and A hire confirmation email. You can check your spam folder for this email.
I have checked the Royal mail tracking page and it shows your order was dispatched on the 3rd of July using a next working day delivery service, with an original due date for the 4th of July.
Unfortunately, Royal Mail experienced a brief logistics delay, and the item was ultimately delivered on the 6th of July.
We apologise for any inconvenience experienced.

The WiFi arrived exactly on time
The WiFi arrived exactly on time. The signal was very good. We were able to game and stream TV no problem. Returning it was simple too as they provided the return label for us so we just taped it back up in the box it came in and stuck the label on and posted it in a post box! I got my deposit refunded very quickly too. Would definitely use again.

Unusable wifi…
Late delivery and unusable wifi connection. Complete waste of £52 and they wouldn't accept my original screen shots as evidence.
Ended up with a better connection using phone as a hotspot

Regarding the delivery, we cannot investigate your order to verify the late delivery, given we could not trace your order.
In situations where there is a local/regional telecom mast issue affecting the speed in the local area where a device is being used, our standard procedure involves investigating the speed issue first to identify the cause and see if it can be resolved remotely. We then check to see if an alternative network (which isn't experiencing a telecom mast issue at that local area) is available.
The screenshot provided likely lacked the specific details our customer service team needed to investigate the issue. To make things easier, we usually resend our information guide to help clarify exactly what is needed so we can get this resolved for you as quickly as possible.

Exactly what I needed
The device arrived the next day, and it was up and working within 1 minute of plugging in.
Obviously it's not the fastest of internet connections, but it works, it's reliable and it met my requirements whilst the fibre connection was sorted.

Useful temporary wifi
As we were waiting for the installation of broadband by a new supplier this was really helpful. It was a tad expensive but really helpful to have this temporary wifi as a stop gap. Would recommend.

Wifihire’s home hub got me back online in quick time
I had an internet service outage at home and needed to avail of WiFi hire’s services in May 2026. The service was super reliable and easy. The Hub arrived the next day, had a very decent wifi connection (over mobile networks - they use the major telecoms provider networks) with speeds adequate for voice and video calls. What was even better was that I was able to simply connect my existing (own) wifi router to the hub via a ethernet cable and all devices in the house could continue to use my own router’s wifi network instead of having to be configured to connect to the wifihire hub’s network saving me a lot of time. In a connected world where we depend so much on the internet in our daily lives, I found wifihire to be a truly valuable (and must add - rare service in the Uk) service that solves the need of fast enough internet service for a temporary period at a very reasonable price. The return label allowed for free return postage and the deposit (taken at the time of the order) was refunded back to me in quick time when they received the device back.
Keep up the great service and value proposition. I’ll definitely be using this again if the need ever arises.

I have investigated this, and I can see from the customer service inbox that you initially contacted us to ask whether your Wi-Fi device should be sent to your old or new address due to your upcoming move. Our team member advised you to have it shipped to your new address.
I can also see from the customer service inbox that when the order was subsequently placed with a hire start date of 29th May, you entered your old address instead of the new address (which the customer service team had recommended you use given you were not going to be at the old address by the time the device gets delivered). Hence the device was dispatched to the delivery address you had provided in your order.
You then contacted us to inform us that you had not received the device, and I can see that the customer service team replied, informing you about the tracking page showing Royal mail attempted to deliver the device on your start of hire date, but couldn't because the recipient was no longer at the address.
To help resolve the situation quickly, our team offered to send a replacement device to your current address, but we understand you chose to decline this option.
We apologise for any inconvenience experienced.
