Western Bid is actually a rather shady company who acts as an intermediary between primarily Ukrainians and PayPal. The Better Business Bureau gives them an “F” rating. If you buy a product from a Ukrainian seller on the Internet, such as through Etsy, you will not see their company name until you have already paid for the item through PayPal. I bought a Nixie clock on Etsy from one of these Ukrainian so called “craftsmen”. The clock worked for only a few minutes. When both my son and I tried to change the settings in our attempt to get the clock to work, we were both shocked. The shocks resulted in no serious injuries, but when I received my shock, one of the tubes began to melt. It was an obviously defective product that I tried to return to a Florida address that turned out to be that of Western Bid. PayPal refused to give me a refund but I have appealed the decision. If you are thinking about buying a product through Etsy, be very careful or you may get ripped off by these dubious characters who will spend your money while soaking up the sun in Florida.

It’s entirely understandable that western bid is not responsible for the sellers actions. However, you are getting a one star review as a result of the fact that, after reading all of the reviews that have come previously before mine this is a recurring theme that has yet to be dealt with. If you have sellers who are selling their products or services on Etsy, who are not actually delivering the items that the customers are buying then should they not be dealt with accordingly? Shouldn’t we as the customers be taken care of appropriately, it makes no sense to me how after repeated bad reviews over the various transactions that people have had with the seller that you sponsor or multiple sellers that you sponsor or whatever this situation is that there are others but nothing done and people like me are still getting scammed. Because that’s what this is. This is a scam. I ordered a set a Taro cards that came with a beautiful bag and a beautiful box for 4290 something on October 22 for my own birthday. I was given a tracking number and told that it would take a little longer than expected due to problems with USPS whatever cool. Then, after about a week of my item being stuck in Hollywood Florida, for some reason I complained I asked what was going on politely I asked why my pot my item had been sitting in transit for such a long time and was told that the reason why was because there was apparently an issue with the address she repeated my address back to me I said that was correct. I said you can go ahead and also put on there that it is the pink side of that duplex and that it is unit A and she said that that was the reason why I didn’t get my package delivered was because I didn’t include the unit number. However it’s funny to me that that’s what she wanted to use as the reason why I didn’t receive my package when I ordered two other items from two other shops on Etsy as well on the same day as well, and have long since I received both of them with that same exact address without the unit number my name is in my mailbox. I always get my mail. I never have any issues whether or not that the unit number is on there or not so with all that being said, I just think that if you do not want all of these poor reviews on your website and all these other review websites then maybe the issue isn’t with the customer complaining about the a seller that you cannot control and instead is about the fact that you keep allowing the same thing to occur repetitively there are reviews on here, claiming that your shops on Etsy are scams from years ago, so deal with that Western bid, instead of complaining about the negative reviews that you have “nothing to do with you“ because at the end of the day these are your people that you have signed a deal with these are the people that are representing you your company your incorporation, so yeah, you do have a lot to do with it. Fix the problem because this is highly unacceptable. It’s highly inappropriate. It’s highly unprofessional and it’s straight up scammy.

I paid USD 170 dollars in October 2021. I have not received the purchased pictures or a refund, despite serveral communications with the company. This is clearly a scam.

NOTE: THIS COMPANY IS JUST A MESSENGER/COURIER SERVICE. Twice recently I have bought items from an Etsy seller in Ukraine and each time they arrived safely. Yes it's taking longer just now but that's only to be expected. Western Bid aren't at fault for fake/shoddy goods, it's the item seller that's to blame. All these people leaving one star reviews about poor quality items aren't actually leaving them in the right place.

I'd never order from these dimwit ever again sent put faulty good an absolute nightmare to get me money back I'd avoid them like the plague this isn't a trusted company to spend your hard earned cash

Liars. Do not actually send the product. Somehow have fake reviews claiming the products on Etsy are legit.

I received a defective shoe clearly used and shoe polished over. I returned them and still no refund. This company is fraudulent.

$40 USD shipment placed on May 16, 2022 and no status update from the seller. I sent an email, but these reviews have me nervous.

These arrived a few days after this post and was thrilled to see it was from the Ukraine, and packaged so carefully! I'm in love with my new hamster sprays.
This country is at war. Please be patient and kind towards any Ukrainian based operation, and show your support! 🇺🇦

Not a legitimate company. No confirmation email for item purchased, no tracking number- nothing! Don't be surprised if they take your money & leave you with nothing.

I ordered a pair of boots from them in January and never received them! They are scammers!

Western Bid A firm from Russia that mediates to the U.S. from Ukraine.
During Russia's attack on Ukraine, more than $20,000 was stolen from sellers who entrusted their money to her to send packages to the US. Many don't have internet, she uses it, doesn't respond to messages...... for over a month we can't get our money back, they don't respond
Please spread this around as much as you can.

Could it be that you are doing it because you have not sent the new prism and you have lied to me?

I placed my order on 11/01/2022 and today I have received my products, exactly 14 days
( I leave in London) ! I received everything that I have ordered in perfect package well wrapped.
I wanted to attach a pictures, but I don’t see any options to do that.

This vendor is not a scammer!!

Extremely friendly and very responsive. I placed an order on Etsy through PayPal for a 86x57 painting and I received exactly what I asked for! There was a problem I had with shipping initially (a UPS error), but the vendor paid extra to make sure I received it in a timely manner. Painting was well packaged also.

I purchased two carved wooden walking sticks on Etsy.
The seller was located in the Ukraine and had dozens of positive reviews. I paid using PayPal; the transaction was facilitated by Western Bid on the Seller's side. I was a little concerned about dealing with the Ukraine, but there were no problems at all. The canes arrived in good time and without any damage. They were as advertised and I'm very happy with them.

I have purchased many, many items from shops located in Ukraine and Russia through Etsy, and ultimately Western Bid. Every single purchase was shipped quickly, and I received EACH AND EVERY one within a few weeks (as noted in the shipping times of the individual shops). I understand that sometimes things happen, and shipping anything these days is taking a chance. After reading all of these negative reviews about Western Bid, I felt I had to at least provide my numerous extremely positive experiences regarding this company.

WESTERN BID is officiall company that give opportunity to many sellers from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus etc to make a trade on Etsy. Unfortunately, sometimes it happens that bad seller disappointe some customer and he wrote a bad review to WESTERN bid, but Western Bid is only agent trough whom we received our money, because in Ukraine Pay Pal do not work
