An unforgettable experience…
I cannot recommend the experience highly enough. The itinerary was exceptionally well planned, covering every major place of interest while still allowing enough time to truly enjoy each destinations.
When we experienced unexpected flight cancellations due the war in the middle East, the company handled the situation promptly and professionally, offering reassurance and efficient solutions at a stressful time. This gave us real peace of mind.
I would also like to commend the local guides in both Thailand and Singapore. They were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive from start to finish.
Overall, this was a superbly organised trip with excellent customer service and unforgettable experiences.

Wendy Wu Tours makes travelling so easy
Wendy Wu Tours is a great company to travel with, everyone is met at the airport and guided all the way though until being dropped off at the check-in desk at the end of the holiday. Everything is included in the price. I have just returned from the Singapore to Bangkok by Rail trip. There were three guides, one for each country, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, each one was local and very knowledgeable. They were able to give us insights into the sights and the culture of each place.

A very memorable Beijing & Xi'an Tour
Wow!! What an amazing time we had in China. We were a group of 23 and our guide Addison was absolutely superb. Everything he did and arranged was for our benefit to get the most out of our time in China. He even switched our programme around to avoid crowds when he could. Addison picked our Chinese meals and restaurants for us and pre arranged our food so everyone had something to suit them. What a dedicated, genuine man he was even staying up until 3am on our last day to put together a video for us all.

An amazing trip to Beijing and Xi'an
We were a group of 23 and we were so lucky to be given Addison as our guide. He made the trip memorable for us and went the extra mile to ensure that we had the best time possible. He rearranged the itinerary to ensure that we were at the incredible locations at the best possible time to avoid the crowds - our early morning visit to the Ming Tombs was unbelievable and so peaceful as we were the only group there. We also visited the Great Wall in the afternoon for the same reason. All our meals were included and Addison had arranged the menus himself to ensure that we were offered the most amazing food and great restaurants and what we experienced was phenomenal. The short 5 night tour was crammed with amazing memories and not a minute of the time we were together was wasted. Everyone got on so well and Addison made the trip so special - we even learned some Chinese - it was such a happy trip never to be forgotten. Thank you again Addison and also thank you for the memorable video that you prepared and sent to us all.

Amazing experience
Just completed a weeks land tour in China with Wendy Wu tours. What a spectacular experience it was, Addison our guide was absolutely amazing, couldn’t have wished for a nicer person. So well organised and arranged tailored trip
I would one hundred percent travel with WW again. They did a tailor made trip for just my husband and I as we wanted it to be the two of us but with a proper experience.
We visited Cambodia first then Vietnam.
From start to finish was faultless- it ran like clockwork to give us the maximum time to enjoy our holiday. The tour operator was at every airport and every hotel lobby at the schedule time for either pick ups for flights or tours in the daytime. They are very informative and really good trips. We went all around Cambodia then went to Ho Chi Minh to the tunnels to the Mekon before flying to Da nag and spending some precious days in Hoi An. on the list was Hanoi and then a two night cruise along Halong Bay which WW organised with perfection.
Katherine in the tailor-made team at WW was professional at all times and explained the full itinerary. Tracy at WW was very helpful with the after questions. I would have no hesitation in flying and letting them organise my trips in the future. Thank you.

Great planning and organisation
Our tour included Vietnam and Cambodia with 4 nights on the Mekong. From start to finish the trip was well organized. All hotels were very good and food, always plenty to enjoy, was exceptional. Could always contact a staff member in the office prior to departure. Cambodian visa was easy to obtain. Our guides were brilliant. We learnt so much from them. Would recommend and use Wendy Wu again.

Covered the main points interest in the country with a super tour manager. Each day was full and everything was included. Group was 28 in number which is their maximum. Good quality hotels and food.

Pre Tour information
We travel next week, however the pre-travel information we requested is not available. We travel in 5 days I phoned customer services to ask for information about tours and flights, I was told they didn’t know tour details and they only book internal flight's after the tour begins. We don’t know what size cases we can take. Very disappointing.

Private tour India’s golden triangle
Our tour was a private Wendy Wu tour of India’s golden triangle in December. This review is a little late because Wendy Wu did not ask for a review which I understood they would do. The tour was hectic but very interesting our guides were all good as was our driver, especially the driver he managed to find very convenient drop off and pick up points all the time. The hotels were good except the last one The Raddison Airport. This was very poor not the standard I would led to expect. The room was very shabby, the dining room was also shabby and very overcrowded at breakfast. The hotel appeared to be undergoing a refurbishment.
The most annoying aspect however was the ‘selling opportunities’ scarves, marble tables, jewellery, rugs, printed cloths, soapstone ornaments etc, all of which were offered twice. As this was a private tour it was only myself and my husband being subjected to these ‘opportunities’ which always resulted in the ‘hard sell’.
These ‘opportunities’ need regulated.

Amazing 7 day tour of India…
Just finished a 7 day tour of India with Wendy Wu. Our tour director, Jasvir Saurana looked after our group of 15 exceptionally well. The arrangement detail was first class, Jas ensuring every member of the group was well considered whilst ensuring we met timelines ensuring we missed no keysites or events. Jas gave fantastically insightful and interesting stories of Indian history and culture everyone really enjoyed, and he kept the mood very positive and light throughout. Always consumately professional, Jas also accommodated requests wherever possible (I really wanted to see a snake charmer and he arranged this even sitting me next to the charmer who allowed me to stroke the snake!). Based on our experience, We would strongly recommend Wendy Wu tours and will certainly be coming back!

China Winter Wonderland
I went on the Winter Wonderland trip to China over Christmas and New Year - what an amazing experience! China was fabulous, and our wonderful guides really brought it to life. Addison organised our tight schedule with humour and expertise, which made it feel so easy. There wasn't much free time, but the distances covered were huge and you needed to use every spare minute well. I saw everything I hoped to and more. Harbin was a particular highlight. My only comment was the flight - I would have preferred to fly direct, but that was a lesson learned and doesn't detract from the country, or the work of our guides whose knowledge and insight made the holiday special. Winter was a wonderful time to visit China.

Wendy Wu disappointment
We booked a 3 week, personal tour covering Cambodia and Vietnam. We chose Wendy Wu in particular because of their claiming to be "regional experts, with staff on the ground to assist you". We thought this was important to us having never visited the region, in particular should something go wrong.
The fist half of the trip went well and we were very happy with everything in Cambodia and our Mekong cruise.
Then on the day we were due to fly from Saigon to Danang, we were told on our way to the airport that weather conditions meant we would have to divert to Hanoi instead.
No consultation or discussion with us, just changed to fly to Hanoi. We arrived in Hanoi to be given a bit of paper with "revised schedule " on it and driven to a hotel (we and the driver had no idea what hotel). Hotel was poor and we basically got the feeling we had been dumped. We requested contact from Wendy Wu, but got an email from Discova. They apparently on their third party agents. We had never heard of them! We asked numerous times for a phone call, but never got one. We eventually got moved hotel, but then when we should have been going to our original hotel, they arbitrarily moved us, again without consultation. After 7 days in Hanoi, our last day was a "get to know Hanoi" tour, most of which we had done ourselves!
Complained and got derisory offer of compensation, although they admitted to many errors and "poor communication".
In a nutshell Wendy Wu are fine if all goes to plan and their local guides were largely good.
However if things go wrong or have to be changed don't expect "local service". You will be dealt with by " their local agents" Discova, who appear to be based in Australia. They seem unwilling to speak to customers or consult with them, how ever much money you have spent!
We will be travelling independently next time as what Wendy Wu offer is not what they deliver when things have to change.

In situations involving a force of nature, such as severe weather, we often have to act at speed to secure alternative arrangements. These events can affect an entire area and create immediate pressure on availability, meaning that waiting to consult can result in no viable options remaining. That said, we appreciate how important clear communication is during these moments, and we are sorry that this fell short for you.
As you have been in regular contact with our Customer Care team throughout this matter, and based on our most recent correspondence, we understood the situation to be resolved as the solution we provided was accepted.

First tour with wendy wu also my first trip solo. I was apprehensive going alone not knowing what would happen
Was met at the airport by a wendy wu representative who showed us our lift to hotel where we was met by Addison our guide for the whole tour. I spent 2 amazing weeks in china. Addison is a warm , welcoming friendly guy. He was very informative and guided us along the way. Telling us day by day our itinerary what to expect from that days schedule we had plenty to see and do. What stood out most for me about Addison is not just being knowledgeable about the tour but he treated us like family. Calling us Addison family. He paid very close attention to all of us making sure we didn't get lost, helping us on and off bullet trains and most of all he spotted I needed help. I have a problematic knee nothing major just aches over time if I exert it. He helped me off the coach when he saw me struggle to get down steps. Not only did he help me down steps he got me some chinese herbal sticky plasters to put on my knee which helped immensely. This attention to detail makes him stand out above anyone else that guided us on the tour. It shows its not just a job to him but that we mean something to him. I can't praise him enough he did an excellent job and its my pleasure to have had him as my guide in my life. Here's hoping we cross paths in the future. Keep up the good work Addison your amazing... I never got as far as travelling with…
I never got as far as travelling with Wendy Wu Tours. I booked early with their special offer in October only to find the holiday offered at one point some £1800 cheaper where upon I contacted their office to suggest I cancel and rebook at the new price. After 3 days of phone calls and emails no decision as they couldn't make a decision without refering to a senior manager. In the mean time the price went up, disproportionately for the week I had booked despite the "special offer" still having another day to run. In fact prices went up and down over couple of days with no explanation. Six days later they came back with an offer that did not match the price at the point when I might have cancelled and rebook saving nearly £1500. At this point I lost any faith in their customer service and after reading their reviews on Trust Pilot rather than their website it became clear there was around a 50% chance of a good holiday but 25% chance of a major issue and I decided that I didn't fancy those odds as if something went wrong during three weeks in India life could be very difficult, so I cancelled and booked with a competitor who offered an 80% chance of a good holiday. No travel companies are perfect but I regret not checking Trust Pilot first as I will in the future.
