Don’t buy from them as they lie on the report of the condition of the engine and vehicle. Cost me more than double I paid and still not working as I don’t have funds to fix it.

The service I got at We buy cars was not bad, saw a nice car online and put R5000 as a holding deposit and the following day I went to check on the car, Test drove it and checked all the features, I was not satisfied with the car and claimed my refund which I got it within 24 years. I’m happy with their service, it was the quality of the car that I did not like.

I have had the most disgusting service from We Buy Cars. I cannot even call it service because there hasn't been any. I bought a car on the 31st May 2024 it broke down within 6 working days and could not be driven. To spite about 20 phone calls, emails and WhatsApp messages I cannot get an answer from anyone at We Buy Cars when my refund will be processed. Each time I eventually get through if they do not cut me off. The Customer Care person is either sick or on leave and the next person does not know what is going on and will escalate the matter to no avail. The car was eventually collected on the 24th May 2024 by We Buy Cars and I have not heard anything since. I am at my wits end as I do not have a vehicle to get to work or money to buy another vehicle and am about to lose my job. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I need a concrete answer from We Buy Cars as to when my money will be refunded. Before they collected the vehicle I was basically forced to write an email saying they have permission to deduct an amount of just under R 3500 for AA Rates for the mileage done on the vehicle. My expenses to date are so high due to the fact that I did not have a vehicle to drive because they sold me a damaged vehicle I think it is absolutely disgusting.

Bought a car from we buy cars Durban, it only functioned for a month, they never disclosed that there was a problem with the computer box, they refuse to do anything about it just threatening us with lawyers.Now 7 months later still stuck with a non functional car & my money is gone:(

Firstly, I was approved for finance and then a day later declined. When I brought the concern up I was told that the incompetent employee that sent me the approval message subsequently didn't work there anymore.

Following this instance, it took them 48 hours to provide me with an OTP to send through to my bank. I then had to take time out of my day to go and sit there and babysit them so that my bank could get the necessary documentation.

Upon receiving the car, I noticed a few days later that the passenger side seat belt does not work. I brought the issue up with them immediately, only to be dismissed and told to go to the automotive ombudsman.

Disgusting service. Disgusting work ethic. Overall Disgusting experience.

I applied for vehicle finance with this company I was informed that my finance was approved I completed everything they requested including signing up for the insurance they referred me, after being assured that everything has been done including accepting the offer and on the day I was supposed to collect my car I was informed that it was not possible as the vehicle finance was declined. The insurance was still debited from my account and I will have to cancel and enquire from my side. I informed them that I will report this misleading experience and requested information to lodge a complaint but I was completely ignored. No urgency was shown

Pushed into buying a car with a fraudulent MoT. Dangerous - Do not Drive Defects noted.
A new clean MoT materialised from a different garage.
None of the eleven problems noted had been repaired.
These people were happy to let me drive off in a dangerous car which would gave killed me and others.
Ignored me when I exercised my rights under the Consumer Act 2015. I wanted a repair, I did not get this. Had to get the car back to them at my own expense, my belongings damaged by mouldy leaking water.

We experienced a very very bad situation with We buy Cars. Divan drom We buy Cars made promises which did not happen. 2 Weeks ago my daughter contacted We buy Cars with total honesty that the car does not start. Promises has been made that a quotation will be given to her and an offer will be made, a rollback will take the car. Divan never came back to us, we have to contacted him the whole time, and we told him that we relocated from Colesberg to Gauteng from the start, today only when we contacted head office there now is a problem with a vehicle that does not start. We leaving Colesberg in less than 2 hours with a problem unsolved

Well well well, I am not surprised to see a 61% average on a one star rating. You know what’s sad, we buy cars has absolutely no care in the world for any posts or comments made due to their size.

My experience of purchasing and now trying to sell a vehicle has been very frustrating and unenjoyable. My vehicle for sale some in my eye is in great condition however was an ex purchased vehicle from we buy cars. Well when the assessor came to test drive the car he told me everything that was wrong with my vehicle and they came back with an offer less than why was sent to me because of all the defects. Why was this not made aware when the car was originally purchased from them? That was kept quiet. Now it feels like I have been driving something thats actually nothing like I thought it was due to their view of the vehicle. To then be told its market related reasons, why did the price come back lower than originally offered.

We buy cars is not a great experience, they use their sheer size to bully the market. Soon everyone will realise what a joke they are. Go past a local car service center and ask if you should buy a car from them. You will get set straight..

Tried to purchase a car from the Riverhorse branch, getting hold of anyone or getting them to call you back was a nightmare. Once I finally received all the details, and chosen to purchase the car and the OTP had arrived, it was loaded with R50K of extras like extended warranty’s and service plans which only lasted 2 year but you would be paying them off over 6 years. After 4 weeks of trying to get the OTP is a state where I would actually sign it, I was told no sorry the bank will no longer offer finance on the deal. Worst buying experience I have ever had, terrible communication, and complete unwillingness to help, or reply to any email or WhatsApp. Regardless of all the loaded “extras”, of which some are mandatory, if I choose to have an extended warranty on my car that should be up to me to decide not you. Will never deal with any webuycars branch again.
