I was disappointed with my experience…
I was disappointed with my experience with We Buy Anycars.
I received an initial quote of $9600 and scheduled home appointment. During the inspection. I was told the vehicle appeared to be jump started, not driven much and upper engine noise. I disagreed with these assessments and believed them to be inaccurate.
The initial offer was reduced to $6500. After I questioned the evaluation the offer was increased to $7600 and was told the amount would be valid for 1 week.
When I called back within a week to accept the offer I was told the “used car market had softened” and they reduced the offer to $6500.
While others may have had different experiences, I found their process very disappointing due to the substantial decreases in their quoted offer, as well as them not honoring the one week price guarantee.

The online valuation you received was an estimate based on the disclosures you provided about the vehicle, and it was always subject to validation by a professional, in-person appraisal. That appraisal assesses the vehicle's actual condition, which, together with the current used-car market, is what the final figure is based on.
We recognize that you disagreed with some of the assessments made during the appraisal. Rather than second-guess that here, the Area Manager would be glad to go through the appraisal with you directly and walk you through how the figure was reached.
On the point about a price being held for a week: a guaranteed, time-limited price is something we extend only in specific circumstances, and our records show one was not in place for your vehicle. We're sorry if that was not made clear at the time. The figures discussed were valuations rather than a locked offer, which is why the vehicle was re-assessed when you came back to us.
We understand you were seeking a higher amount than our valuation, and we completely respect your decision not to sell. We take your feedback seriously and have logged a formal complaint on your behalf. Great experience!
I was leery of using such a generic sounding service over the internet, but figured that I had nothing to lose. I mean, the worst realistic thing that could have happened was that I'd reject their offer and we'd go our separate ways - and since I was in no hurry to sell my car, I figured I'd give it a shot since they were offering via email a bit more than another company who I usually used. They showed up at the time they stated. Gentleman was nothing but 100% professional and easy to deal with. The offer that was given via email was lowered a bit due to a ding I never noticed that somebody clearly had opened a car door into my vehicle, but that was completely understandable. Total time from arrival to "check in hand" was about an hour, most of which was spent with the gentleman in his car doing whatever needed to be done. Would happily use again! Highly recommend!

Able to get help with the damage evaluation!
To sell my old car, I filled in the online questionnaire until I got to the damage part, where a minor flaw counts the same as a major flaw. In that my 20 old car had mostly all minor flaws, I wasn't comfortable using it as the evaluation. so I didn't complete it. Scott called and said if I brought it in, he could do it there. He was great to work with, we agreed on a price, and I walked out with a check. Thank you, Scott!
