As a local guide, I was at first skeptical how I could parlay the visitor's experience into a digital product.
But the more I learned about the Voicemap product and procedures, the more sold I was.
First off, Voicemap technology is superb. It's easy to use, accurate, and because of its design it even perceives when a user has 'gone astray' and helps get them back on course.
Second, my Voicemap editor is wonderful in all phases of tour development. From the very beginning when I was just starting and trying to grasp the procedure, to the present day as we develop new products, they are always available, helpful and I look forward to a cheery message from them.
If you're thinking of working with Voicemap, you can't go wrong!

The initial tour creation was done with many tips and suggestions from the wonderful editor, Alicia. Gary had a bit of work on his hands getting my voice sounding nice and clear too.
Since the setup, I have had to make amendments for reasons such as road closures, new venues, etc and on each occasion they are so quick to update the tour.
My customers are always happy with the tech, and i myself think it's a user friendly app for customers and a fabulous idea.

When VoiceMap invited me to create tours for my city, I noted that some 160 cities of the whole world already were online, but not Geneva Switzerland. Our city being of key importance to the world, this could not be!
Making some 200 guided tours per year for many years, I know the place pretty well. So, VoiceMap helped me to set up three guided tours of an average of 45 minutes in Geneva. A fourth one is in the little picturesque city of Carouge just next to Geneva.
I’ve had great fun putting these tours in place. The pandemic ending soon, we will promote them with the hotels and tourists, the huge number of people coming to congresses in Geneva… and the great number of English-speaking residents. All these people must know what a fantastic world-important history Geneva has! There is a great potential!

My editor at Voicemap made sure that my introduction to the platform was seamless and fruitful. I consider that I am better author now thanks to her help and I know that I am supported at all times. Thanks!

What a way to see a city in this pandemic situation. Having my own guide in the headphones, when I walk by my self - excellent!! Interesting and enjoyable information about the city. Very nice product!!

VoiceMap has a quality team and a solid product. I have benefited from VoiceMap as both a tour creator and customer. The VoiceMap team, in particular my editor helped my really good tours become great tours. Now, every time I visit a new city, I find myself checking the VoiceMap App to see if they have something to offer. It is so easy to use and truly enhances your experience. It helps you to discover and learn!

VoiceMap is a fantastic resource that has made it easy for me to convert my physical walking tours into audio tours. Using the online mapping tool, planning the route and plotting the locations couldn’t be simpler. The ability to see the estimated walking time between locations and to know how many words will fit into that time is particularly useful. Gary has been a tremendous help and working with him as my editor has ensured that the script makes sense and flows nicely. He is also very quick to respond to any questions I've had. The text to speech facility is great as it allows me to physically test the route and check that the audio is activated at the right time. This being done, it’s then very easy to upload my own recorded audio and send the finished tour back to the editors for final checks and approval. I’m currently writing the script for my fifth tour and looking forward to working with the VoiceMap team again.

I've recently created an audio tour with Voicemap to Stratford-Upon-Avon. Alicia was incredible from start to finish. The process was long to write a script and test the audio in a town that wasn't where I live, but the end result was so pleasing and I couldn't have done it without their support.

Although the tours are your own creation, the editors bring their experience of developing tours to assist you in all parts of the process, including your narrative content, where to include directions and control the timings between stops. They also provide guidance on the tour names and key information that the public sees ahead of buying your tour.

For me, the ability to include photos, sound effects was important to improve the experience for guests, and increase the usefulness of the audio tour as a virtual experience, especially in times of Covid-19 lockdown

I published my tours on VoiceMap and I loved working with the VoiceMap team on their production. I worked with Gary who responds as fast as lightning, but everyone is very helpful and supportive. I have been a bit of a perfectionist and produced loads of extra editing for Gary, who was very accommodating, bless him. I love the concept of the audio tours and hope we go far together!
