Villeroy-Boch ViClean Toilet System, poor quality product luxury end…
Poor quality product, luxury goods purchase price.
We purchased a top of the range ViClean bidet system which malfunctioned at the time of installation and has been replaced ( free of charge by V-B and again 4 years later) the 3rd unit lasted 4 years, which appears to be the lifespan. This has been discontinued and we are left with a broken system. The fact that it was over £2,000 to purchase I would have expected it to last longer or be repaired, obviously to the cost of the customer.
The UK Engineer is uncontactable and does not respond at all to calls and messages so a rather disappointing experience with this company.
Single use cutlery
Their manufacture rock cutlery is a total disappointment. This set looks really nice when new. Got 3 of them to match a set of manufactured rock plates. I use it only on special occasions, couple times a year. Set is handled very gently - only careful hand wash, stored in original box when not used. Unfortunately, even with such handling it gets a lot of scratches during normal use. Even after single use you will see scratches. Currently I've used this set around 5 times and I think after around 10 it will degrade to level when it couldn't be used for special occasions any more.
Tried to contact manufacturer and ask for advice on restoring the finish, but got answer that restoration is not possible and that there is no defect on product, so that's basically the way it's supposed to deteriorate. Looks like marketing rather than quality product to me.
Not putting single star as they do have other quality products that I like (eg manufacture rock plates), but I think putting such product on market and not taking responsibility for quality tells a lot about the company.

Disappointing experience with dish set purchase
I purchased a set of dishes from one of their retail stores. Initially, we chose a specific set, but the clerk, after inspecting the dishes, pointed out imperfections caused by sand grains and recommended we buy the other, more expensive set we had considered, assuring us it was flawless. Unfortunately, when we got home, we found the same sand grains in the dishes and discovered that one dish was even a different model.
Since we bought the dishes just before Christmas, we didn’t have time to return to the store. Instead, I contacted customer service to report the issue, mentioning that the clerk had assured us we could exchange the dishes within 30 days with the receipt. After waiting 10 days for a reply, customer service told us that an exchange wasn’t possible. I also copied the retail store in my email, but I’m still waiting for a response.
For a company of this reputation and given the high price of the products, I expected much better customer support. Sadly, my experience was the opposite, and I’m extremely disappointed.
Customer service screaming at me
This company is unbelievable! I received a gift card for Christmas and it doesn't work. When I told them, even took a shot of the receipt that came with it, they kept fobbing me off. Eventually I spoke to customer service and the woman started arguing with me. Not only did she talk over me but she went into a rant. I cant believe this company! they always came across as high class before. Avoid them at all costs!!
Stainless steel set immediately stained, customer service was not helpful
We ordered 2 sets of stainless steel flatware from Villeroy & Boch. Less than 4 weeks and a few washes later, more than half of the set is stained. I contacted customer service and they informed me we could not return used items. Stainless should not stain in less than a month, this is a defect.
They requested we wipe all of them down in ketchup and use Barkeeper's Friend to clean them. Yes, thank you, I've been using BKF for 30 years. The point is we should not be doing so every 30 days with new stainless flatware.
Villeroy & Boch used to be such a high quality brand, but they've decided to manufacture many of their products in Asia, and it shows. I could forgive that, but what I cannot forgive is curt and unhelpful customer service.

My customer bought a concealed universal shower vi box TVD00065100000 with universal shower valves TVD00065300061.Thare is not instruction how to assemble it. Instruction supplying with it is totally different system. I used all my plumbing knowledge to assembled this thinks and I done it. Water is come to the mixer and before I fix the controllers was come out but after I fix the valve nothing come out from any outlet. I spend hours to find any instruction but nothing come up.

Er werd een ligbad geleverd met een beschermfolie. Wanneer de folie na de plaatsing wordt verwijderd stellen wij vast dat er een fabrieksfout nl. 2 putten in de bodem zitten waar ook nog op geschuurd is met schuurpapier. Villeroy&Boch weigert de fout op zich te nemen en zegt dat de " schade " bij de montage gebeurd is. Dit is geen schade maar een fabrieksfout!
Een echte schande hoe zij de klant behandelen.

I have been a happy customer for many years, buying glassware, silverware and plates there as I love the quality - and they remain affordable if you aim for seasonal sales.
This week, for the very first time, I received a defective product. I sent them an email with a picture. An hour later, customer support sent me a shipment tracking number for a replacement.
Very good products
Very good products. Premium finish. Cusomer service was good in my case as a plate cracked and they sent a replacement in out of good will.
Waardeloze spoelbak
Waardeloze spoelbak! We hebben een O.novo Dubbele spoelbak, 510 x 795 x 220 mm, Wit Alpin, met overloop. Je krijgt iedere keer kras van de pannen of metalen spons. De krassen zijn heel moeilijk af te krijgen zelfs met een schuurmiddel. Ik heb ook andere wasbakken van keramiek die 17 jaar oud zijn van een andere merk en deze zien als nieuw uit. Deze spoelbak is mat en dus niet aan te raden.
Poor customer service
I was let down badly by poor customer service. I have used V&B products for many years, but no longer, because it has become obvious to me that the company really do not care about customer service. That is such a shame for such a brand to let down by aftersales.

Bad van Villeroy & Boch is 5 jaar oud.
Zit nu al vol met zo'n 15 putjes. Betreft een acryl bad. We gaan er met twee volwassenen zorgvuldig mee om. Villeroy & Boch wil er niks aan oplossen. Volgens hun betreft het schade van buitenaf. Doordat het zacht materieel is.
Wij zitten nu met een beschadigd bad. Als mij dit verteld was bij aanschaf had ik het nooit gekocht. Graag hadden wij gezien dat Villeroy & Boch de schade gerepareerd had.

Same product on Amazon was half price
Ordered an item from the site.
A week after placing the order I had to chase V&B to dispatch the item then it went into the courier system and I couldn’t get a tracking number so 5-7 working day delivery became could be anything.
V&B customer service staff were pretty unhelpful and abrupt on the phone..
,..but the real reason for this review is that the exact same item was £100+ £10 delivery on the V&B website or £58 from the V&B area on Amazon with free next day delivery.
So I feel like V&B pretty much scammed me out of £50 and were rude an abrupt whilst doing it.
Total disappointment for the product delivered by this company.
I have never written a review nor had the need for this, but the product made by Villeroy & Boch and sold is below any possible acceptable standard. 4 years ago I bought a shower tub 160 cm long and 75 cm wide. The company that sold it to me is Lemit in Novi Sad. For your information, this product cost 700 euros. The product was installed for the first time and after 1 year they had to change it because the product was deformed. Water was passing under that tub because the tub had become an egg. The costs of dismantling and reassembling that product were 350 euros. The first time they told me that the tub was faulty and they delivered a new one, but only after the architect reacted and asked Villeroy & Boch to replace the tub. The store that sold it didn't even want to hear about it. After 1 year the same thing happens again. The tub is deformed again and water is running under it. The company Lemit Novi Sad says that they can only change the bathtub if it has turned yellow or cracked. If it is deformed, then they say that it is not covered by the warranty. My new costs for removing that product and putting tiles when replacing it will be 800 euros. The tub was not deformed for the first few months, and then everything started to return to the old way. They told me that it was not the tub, but the installation, and they did the installation. That is, their man who works for them. When I confronted them about it, they said that he doesn't actually work for them, but that they recommended him. Mostly everyone distances themselves from a bad product, but no one wants to help. I am very disappointed with the fact that Villeroy & Boch has this approach to solving the problem of bad products. The way they treat customers who bought a product of poor quality is incredibly bad and I don't know what to say about this. The only thing I can tell you is that you should never buy any larger bathtubs from Villeroy & Boch because they are of very poor quality. Short summary: a tub that has turned yellow or cracked is covered by the warranty, but a tub that is totally deformed is not. Total disappointment for the product delivered by this company.
