Bad customer service
Very disappointing experience.
I purchased a Villeroy & Boch cast iron pan expecting premium quality, but what I received was far from it. The product showed signs of rust despite being new, which is completely unacceptable for a brand of this reputation. This raises serious concerns about quality control and, more importantly, safety, especially when used for food preparation.
Customer support has been slow and ineffective. After nearly a month of back-and-forth, providing all requested details including the serial number, there has still been no proper resolution. Being redirected between seller and manufacturer only adds to the frustration.
For a brand positioned as high-end, this level of service and product quality is simply not acceptable. I would not recommend purchasing unless you’re willing to deal with potential defects and poor after-sales support.

Villeroy & Boch is low‑end merchandise sold as premium goods
Villeroy & Boch offers absolutely no service. I purchased one of their products from the Villeroy & Boch online store. As soon as I received the delivery date confirmation, I immediately contacted their customer service to ask them to postpone the delivery by a few days, since no one would be available to receive the package.
They replied that even though the parcel was still in their possession, they were unable to delay the shipment. I then asked what happens when no one is there to receive a delivery. Villeroy & Boch told me they simply leave the package on the doorstep.
When I explained that the parcel would almost certainly be stolen, they merely told me to contact them again after the fact if the package went missing. To avoid theft, I asked them to cancel the order. Once again, even though the product was still in their warehouse, they refused to cancel it.
I had to contact Purolator myself and ask them to hold the package at their distribution center so I could pick it up. Villeroy & Boch offered no support whatsoever and did not even bother replying to my emails when I informed them of the issues I was facing.
This company, owned by a German joint-stock corporation since 1987, has nothing left in common with the family business that built its reputation. The extreme mediocrity of their service can only reflect the true quality of their products.
In short, Villeroy & Boch is low‑end merchandise sold as premium goods.

Bought their ridiculously expensive wok and oh my goodness it is so cheap and nothing works to prevent burning everything I cook.

The quality is not as it used to be anymore.
I found that the dining and breakfast plates of Basic White are not really compatible with what used to be the premium porcelain V&B Basic White collection that I purchased some years ago. The quality is no longer premium — the plates are much thicker than before, and the colour and quality are different. Additionally, in my order one plate arrived with scratches on the outer layer, which makes me doubt whetehr they even checked the quality before dispatch
Look elsewhere!
I looked for soup spoons to complete my canteen of v&b cutlery. A search on their website brought up 'soup spoons' which, when they arrived, were labelled 'dinner spoons' and were identical to the dessert spoons I already had. This strikes me as cynical selling and I have tried to put this to v&b. Their customer service makes their marketing look remarkable! Today I have been offered 10% off future purchases after weeks of no resolution, denial of emails I had received automatically replies to etc. No mention of returns process. I would recommend anyone to look elsewhere.
Beautiful coffee set .
My order of coffee cups set arrived quickly and well packed although I took off a star as the inner Box with company logo and branding was covered in a filthy rusty sand grit ! Very off putting and odd I think .. However I am delighted with the quality and design of my purchases..

I paid for my order, but I did not receive it. No response to numerous messages, nor a refund. Unbelievably poor service.
Sink dose not work as a sink
We have one of there ceremic kitchen sinks however it is badly shaped and there for dose not completely drain. This makes it impossible to clean. It's a sink it should drain

We decided for Villeroy & Boch products in our Cloakroom refurb , The Tap and Basin are very good quality as you would expect from Villeroy & Boch where actually reasonably priced so we are very pleased. The wall hung vanity until being £800 for a 500mm unit and it’s made from MDF , this I don’t feel is value for money

The order was cancelled, and didn't receive my funds back. Please be aware, that by ordering on this site, you might be scammed. I've already employed a lawyer, and wrote them legal letters for the refund, still no response. This is the first time I was scammed online.

Extremely Disappointed with Villeroy & Boch's Customer Service - 1 Star
I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Villeroy & Boch that has completely changed my perception of this supposedly premium brand. After carefully selecting items and placing my order, I was shocked to receive an order cancellation notification without any explanation or justification.
What's particularly disappointing is the complete lack of communication from their customer service team. There was no attempt to explain the cancellation, no alternatives offered, and no apology for the inconvenience. For a brand that positions itself as a luxury retailer, this level of customer service is simply unacceptable.
I've been a long-time admirer of Villeroy & Boch's products, but this experience has made me seriously reconsider my loyalty to the brand. The arbitrary cancellation of orders without explanation shows a concerning disregard for customer satisfaction and time.
To make matters worse, I had to follow up multiple times just to understand what happened with my order, only to receive generic responses that provided no real answers. This kind of treatment is particularly frustrating when dealing with a high-end brand where you expect premium service to match the premium prices.
I would strongly caution potential customers to think twice before placing an order with Villeroy & Boch. While their products may be of high quality, their customer service and order fulfillment process leave much to be desired. There are many other retailers who value their customers' time and business more than this.
