Il prezzo del preventivo proposto online sulla piattaforma Vips car con due guidatori e assicurazione completa, al momento della firma con l'agenzia di noleggio "Viaggiare" ha subito un rialzo di 200 euro. L'addetto si è giustificato dicendo che la piattaforma Vips car e l'agenzia di noleggio Viaggiare non sono la stessa società. Inoltre, i 43 euro di acconto addebitati per la prenotazione non sono stati decurtati dalla somma da versare al momento del noleggio. Tutto questo dopo aver aspettato in fila sotto il sole un'ora perché l'agenzia Viaggiare era pienissima di clienti in attesa di noleggiare le auto prenotate online.

Ho fatto un video al ritiro dell'auto, mi è servito per salvarmi da un'accusa di danno posteriore, ma se il colpo c'era già perché voleva addossarmelo a me? Ci provano...forse perché non ho fatto l'assicurazione con loro. Invece non ho ripreso un piccolo danno sotto il paraurti anteriore che dovrò pagare(260 €) . L'addetto ha preso il suo cellulare e sembra che sapeva dove erano i danni,è andato dritto in quei punti non considerando il resto della macchina. Palese la malafede!
Avevo scelto loro per le recensioni ma evidentemente se non fai l'assicurazione con loro(220 €)te li prendono in altra maniera,ovviamente non portano la macchina dal carrozziere e si intascano il danno!!!

Attenzione! Se non fate l'assicurazione con loro (220€) vi contesteranno segni già presenti sull'auto. Ho fatto un lungo video al ritiro. Alla consegna il tizio mi contesta un segno sul paraurti dietro,dal video verifica che c'era già, perché me lo contesti? Non è già stato segnalato? C'ha provato. Invece paraurti anteriore non ho ripreso un piccolo graffio sotto il paraurti, dovrò provare con l'assicurazione del brooker(80€)
Mi sono sentito dire colpa mia per il video, ovviamente se assicuravo con loro non guardavano neanche la macchina. Fate video precisi e particolareggiati,questi campano facendo così!

Die Miete wurde im Voraus über Check24 bezahlt. Bei der Fahrzeugabholung stellte sich plötzlich heraus, dass die Karte, mit der die Zahlung erfolgt war, „nicht geeignet“ für die Kaution sei – obwohl die Zahlung problemlos akzeptiert wurde und ausreichend Guthaben vorhanden war.

Statt einer Lösung wurde uns angeboten, zusätzlich 185 € für eine Versicherung zu zahlen (obwohl bereits eine Vollkaskoversicherung ohne Selbstbeteiligung über Check24 abgeschlossen wurde). Nach unserer Ablehnung wurde das Fahrzeug nicht ausgehändigt.

Besonders enttäuschend war der Umgang im Büro: Eine der Mitarbeiterinnen verhielt sich – milde gesagt – unhöflich, unterbrach ständig und verweigerte jede Erklärung. Eine andere versuchte, uns kostenpflichtige Zusatzleistungen aufzudrängen.

Als klar wurde, dass wir keine weiteren Zahlungen leisten würden, wurde das Gespräch abrupt beendet und wir wurden faktisch aufgefordert, das Büro zu verlassen.

Fazit: Trotz vollständiger Zahlung und Kooperationsbereitschaft wurde uns die Leistung verweigert. Ein solches Verhalten ist im internationalen Tourismussektor inakzeptabel.

Always pay with a credit card!

They convinced me to take out a €150 so-called “all-risk” insurance using my debit card, because they claimed my credit card was invalid. Unfortunately after a minor accident with the car, it turned out this was not an all-risk insurance at all.

When I returned the car they charged me another €150 for the damage. They also promised that the €150 deposit I had paid (in case I returned the car dirty or with low fuel) would be refunded within three working days

But I never got that money back !!

I reluctantly paid the extra €150, trusting the employee who helped me. But today, out of nowhere, they withdrew even more money from my account without any explanation.

I called my bank to ask how this was possible since I’m no longer in Italy. The bank informed me that during my last transaction, I had unknowingly given the company permission to withdraw unlimited amounts from my account.
Their advice: close my account immediately and open a new one. They said this type of scam is sadly common — especially in Italy.

In total, this company has taken over €650 from me. I’ve sent multiple emails but never received a response. I also never received a report, invoice, or any breakdown of the charges.

My advice: rent from Sixt or Hertz, but avoid local rental companies like this one. Many of their positive reviews are clearly fake or bought to lure in more customers. And unfortunately, it worked on me too.

Our experience with Viaggiare Rent (Catania) was absolutely appalling.

When we arrived to pick up the car, they refused to accept our pre-arranged full coverage insurance, claiming it was “not valid.” They gave us no choice but to pay €150 for their own insurance — otherwise, no car. Straight-up extortion.

Later during our trip, we had an accident. Immediately, they demanded another €150, saying the car couldn’t be rented out anymore. No formal report, no documentation, no explanation — just pressure, fear tactics, and manipulation.

And it got worse:
• Our €150 deposit? Never refunded. No reason.
• They took away the rental agreement — so we were left with zero paperwork.
• After we returned home, they charged us an extra €100 without notifying us.
• Oh, and yes — they charged VAT twice.

In total: €630 gone. Stolen.

And after reading more reviews, it’s clear this isn’t a mistake. This is how they run their business. They know most people won’t fight back.

But we are.
We’ve filed a report with the European Consumer Centre and are taking legal action. We’re also spreading the word far and wide.

Viaggiare Rent is not just bad — it’s criminal.
Do NOT rent from them. Tell your friends. Warn other travelers.

I was completely scammed by Viaggiare Rent during my holiday.

I had already arranged my own full all-risk insurance before arriving. But when I got to the desk, they told me it was “not valid” and forced me to pay €150 for their own all risk insurance, or I wouldn’t get the car. Total blackmail.

Later, I was involved in an accident. Right after that, they demanded another €150, claiming the car couldn’t be rented out anymore. No proper report, no documentation, just pressure and scare tactics.

That wasn’t the end:
• They withheld my €150 deposit for no reason.
• They took my rental contract, so I have no proof of anything agreed.
• After I returned home, they charged me an extra €100 without telling me.
• Oh — and they charged VAT twice. Twice. On top of everything else.

Total money stolen: €630.

And I know: this is what you’re known for. I’ve read the other reviews. This is clearly not a mistake — this is how you operate.
You don’t care. You expect people to give up and move on.

But I won’t.

I’ve submitted a complaint to the European Consumer Centre (ECC), I’m reporting you to the police, and I’ll make sure as many people as possible know about what you did.
With my large social media following, I will keep sharing this until you are exposed for the scammers you are.

Viaggiare Rent is a fraud. Do not rent here. Ever.

Viaggiare has great value for money, a very friendly team, and offers new cars to its customers, or at least the one I received, and the delivery time is very short.

Even though we were a bit late to bring it back because we got lost in a parking lot they will still very nice and understanding.

Tutto liscio e non è mai scontato

Unica pecca: tempi di attesa un po’ lunghi, per quanto riguarda il resto è andato tutto benissimo.

Al momento del ritiro dell'auto ci ha accolto la sig.na Giulia. Molto dolce e gentile, abbiamo apprezzato i suoi modi di fare e la chiarezza con cui ci ha spiegato tutto.
Ci ha consigliato vari posti in cui andare, tenendo anche conto delle nostre necessità dal momento che eravamo con il nostro bambino di appena due anni. Abbiamo visto molti dei posti consigliati e ne siamo rimasti entusiasti.

L'auto era in perfette condizioni. Riconsegna molto veloce: nel complesso è andato tutto nel migliore dei modi e ripeteremo sicuramente l’esperienza presso questa agenzia; prezzi convenienti e staff disponibile e qualificato.
