Great experience at Vertu Toyota Ayr. Connor was really helpful from my initial enquiry through to the collection of my car. Everything was clearly explained to me and communication was excellent. I really liked the personal touch on the day I collected my new car. This is the first time I have used Vertu and I wouldn’t use any other dealer now. I recommend both this branch and Connor for helping you select your new car.

I purchased a brand-new Toyota Yaris from Glasgow Toyota in June 2024. Within a few weeks, a yellow tyre pressure light appeared. I contacted the garage, and the first appointment at the newly opened Ayr garage was months ahead. I booked the car in, but nothing was found. Within weeks, the yellow light reappeared. Glasgow garage then insisted they would inspect the car, and I reluctantly agreed. The Glasgow garage found a large screw embedded in one of the rear wheels. Ayr garage had failed to notice it.
At the end of June this year, the car was booked in for a full service and MOT; no issues were reported from the Ayr garage. Within the last month, multiple yellow warning lights have appeared; again, I booked the car into the Ayr garage. The appointment time was 0900, and I was left sitting for 30 minutes. During the time I was waiting, a middle-aged chap appeared (around the same age as me), saying that his daughter's car had broken down. It needed to be repaired as soon as possible, as she needed it for her work; she had brake down cover with Toyota. The member of staff dealing with the chap treated him with total indifference and condescension; he became increasingly irate as the conversation progressed. I actually felt sorry for the chap, but it was my turn next. After waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time, I was shown to a Pruis courtesy car, I was handed the control device, and that was it. I had never driven a car like this before. After 5 minutes of attempting to figure out the controls, I gave up, as I had a GP appointment at 1000.
I raised a customer complaint, and the manager agreed to collect my car on the 13th November for inspection. I received a phone call later that day to inform me that there was nothing wrong with the car. I asked why multiple orange lights were appearing. I was informed that it was due to air pressure, and that I could attend any garage to remedy the issue myself. I have been driving since 1993, so this did not come as news to me. I made a journey 24 hours later, again, and multiple yellow lights appeared. I phoned the garage to raise the issue, but I encountered indifference again. I feel that there is something unsafe about this garage; it appears to lack governance. The lack of any alarm or interest in a new car breaking down by the staff employed at the garage raises a red flag. I identify with the irate gentleman.
I've never had to deal with this situation before; I've always been a fan of Toyota cars. My first one was a Starlet that I owned in the '90s for about 5 years. I owned the initial model of Yaris for 10 years. Indeed, that gem is still on the roads just now. I had a Honda Jazz for 10 years too; it was a brilliant car. The only reason I didn't opt for the Jazz this time was the $ 5,000 price difference, but I deeply regret it. Honda Parks Ayr garage is fabulous, and I would strongly recommend them. I buy my cars with reliability being a priority, but sadly, I genuinely feel the Toyota garage at Ayr is inadequate, shoddy and unreliable.

Have made contact with this branch 3 times regards vehicle servicing.
1st time I received a note to say the message will be forwarded to Vertu Toyota Ayr when it was their contact form I used? I have then contacted them a further 2 times and had no response whatsoever for approx 2 weeks now.
This is shameful from a branch new to Ayr who should be putting in 100% to establish themselves and their customer base.

Fantastic same day service on a fault.i rang in with a fault on my hilux and they were extremely helpful said they would fit me in the same day,they made the repair and made no charge for the work

From the warm welcome from reception staff on arrival to view cars to collecting our new 'to us' car, we had a great experience at Vertu Toyota Ayr. Cameron was our sales rep, he was extremely professional, friendly and articulate. He talked us through our buying options and extras available, and generally put us at ease throughout the process. Cameron you are a star! Angus the manager introduced himself and was welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend Vertu Toyota Ayr, when purchasing a new car, a lovely friendly team, we are delighted with our car!

Very friendly staff, who understand and listen to the customer. They do their upmost to give you the best deal they can and also make you feel as if you're are important to them, and not just another sale.

Made to feel welcome by all members of staff. Sales team were able to fit me in without an appointment, was able to go out on a test drive the same day. Cameron the salesman was very patient with me re using technology to confirm completion identity etc. I was kept up to date every step of the way. When collecting my new car everyone was very excited for me, delighted with the experience

No Communication after 2 promised calls back. Looking to spend over 30k

From start to finish, I found the whole process of purchasing my new car from Vertu/Toyota Ayr a first class experience. Owen Billingsley was beyond helpful, guiding me smoothly through the process of purchasing a vehicle on line, something I have never attempted previously. Whilst extremely professional, Owen was also very pleasant and personable; answering my endless list of questions, and patiently assisting me with the technical elements of the sale. The car, when it arrived, having been driven from Ayr to Lancashire was in every aspect, just as he had described, and was presented in excellent condition. Following this experience I wouldn't hesitate to purchase on line in the future.

I feel that I have to write a well deserved review for all of the staff at Vertu in Ayr that I had contact with on my visit today.
I found them to be courteous, helpful and professional in particular Cameron Novak the salesman who accompanied me on a test drive. He is a great positive representative of the company , he was informative and knowledgeable about the cars and I will have no hesitation on recommending him and Vertu Ayr to friends and family.
