The app is helpful but the true value comes from the customer service.

The app is not complicated to use. It gives a lot of useful information in bite sizes that can be digested and are very relevant. I have gained so much understanding on how to improve and understand how my body is reacting to food- it is great. I am seeing improvements daily and exciting to carry on using the app

I found out I am often in a hypoglycemic state by using this app. It instantly alerted me of something I would have never found out with a single blood test. The constant monitoring has been life changing to be honest. I recommend this to anyone.

I got caught out with the membership that you sign up for. When you first see the product I says - 1 month of app and community access, but when you click through to pay it becomes a monthly membership. Pay attention and don’t get caught out by the trickery.

4 months experience with Veri, a journey.
I use mmol/L, if you want to use mg/dl multiply my mmol/L values by 18 and you will get mg/dl
1) Abbot Sensor: I used the FreeStyle-Libre-3, it is more compact and sends the readings to your phone automatically. The sensor is a man made device, do not expect miracles or perfection in the readings. The sensor was designed for diabetic people and it is calibrated to perform in other ranges of glucose measurements (3.9-7.8 mmol/L). Sensors are produced with a target sensibility and parameters, but due to cost and production yield reasons, a margin of error is accepted and they are withing a % standard deviation from he average target value. So there are sensors that measure a bit more than your real values and others than measure less than your real values. Self-calibration or predictive correction and stabilization of the sensor may take a couple of days to one week, so this is very upsetting. I recommend to use a piercing glucose monitoring device to verify your Abbot sensor measurements, at least during the first days after installation or whenever you suspect wrong readings. Reading can be sometimes very low although you may not have hypoglycemia or they might be too high. So be sporty about this there is still value in trying Veri. During my four months of Veri I was supposed to use 8 sensors, but two of them failed, I called Abbot and they sent me two additional sensors free of charge.
Always keep the black tag of your sensor until it ends, you may need it if the sensor fails. Don’t throw away a failed sensor, Abbot will request that you send it back for failure testing. If you have a glucose measurement device, take three measurements with your device and the measurements of your Abbot app (screen shots and photos of glucose monitoring are best)

2) Veri: The support of the team has been great. Sometimes, when you have a problem or a question they are very systematic and start asking if your senso is well installed and in the right place etc. That is ok. But you may go deeper and they will send you links to read about your question or your issue or they may even arrange a call with a dietician or specialist to discuss your glucose value and curve behavior. Veri is a challenge and a game. Play the game!. Listen or accept the recommendation: about meals, 14 hour overnight fasting, keeping within value and avoiding sudden rise and decay in your glucose value. Keep the exercise requirements, sleep more than 7 or 8 hours, and try to get more than 90 points a day, play the game! Plying the game will imply changes in your life style and habits, in what you eat and the daily schedule in sleeping and exercising.

3) My personal experience. I used Veri during four months, three of which were of weight loss without dieting but changing food and eating habit. I lost 13 kg in three months and used the last month to stabilize my weight and to be less strict about the eating habits I practiced the first three month. I got my BMI under 25, although I would appreciate if Veri gave important to the % of body fat as persons with an athletic body may have a higher BMI than usual. I was able to see how potatoes, rice, white bread, pasta and sweets affected my body, and it was shocking. It takes time to find substitute aliments and to get used to them with new cooking and eating habits, specially when you are eating out. Drinking glass of wine is a good way to cheat in a night out, your glucose values will not peak. Vegetable and red fruits are a great companion, etc. It is all in the Veri insights, read and practice them. And good luck.

4) Veri is not a diet app, it is a life changing app, and it is up to you to achieve great goals and benefits. It is up to you to change your lifestyle and life habits in order to achieve the results you wish and to keep yourself healthy with a great metabolism, weight and feeling good.

Disappointed that Libre 3 is not offered.
Locked into the 3 month’s payments , unable to get cancel.
On the positive side, got two Libre 2’s, with the new found knowledge that they are not for me.
Didn’t find the app at all helpful.

Great modern and complete platform to learn about your health and food intake. And the great app is supported by the leader in real time glucose monitoring tools provided by a big pharmaceutical company. So you can’t go wrong.

Oh dear. Don’t recommend this app at all. You get 2 sensors and have to pay for 3 months, which I knew before buying. I thought the app would give me much better insights on what different foods I could choose to stop blood sugar spikes. I’m vegetarian and no help with any food choices that might work better.
I decided to apply my last sensor in the final month. Now the app is not collecting data. Also the food selection is so really poor and limited. All the info is available on the free style libre app, why on earth pay for Veri? I’m very sorry I did.

Poor customer service and misleading cancellation policy. Tried canceling within 24 hours of ordering. They lied saying the sensor has shipped, but it has not as shipping label was made on a Sunday, it has not been picked up yet, and today is a federal holiday.

My reason for cancellation was that my doctor recommended against working with this company, now I know why.

This is a very shady company with poor practices that hides important details in long and hard to find “policies" with false policies. There is absolutely no law or requirement in the US that a prescription can not be cancelled. This company is clearly not based in the US and is clearly unfamiliar with the actual US Laws around prescription cancellations.

I highly recommend going with one of their competitors who are based in the US and knows how actual US Policies work if you plan to use a CGM. Also, consult with your own doctor first.

TLDR: Avoid Veri at all cost.

Response to Veri: If you knew how actual US Prescriptions worked, you would know that it absolutely can be cancelled if the prescription has not actually been shipped, for which my device has not. Furthermore, I contacted your customer service on Saturday June 17th before the shipping label was created on Sunday June 18th. Your statement is simply false and a good company would not lie to it's customers and try to hide behind 30+ Page policies that are hidden at the very bottom of your website and are not presented anywhere during the ordering process. Again, it is not a return, it is a cancellation. The item has NOT shipped and therefore absolutely CAN be cancelled. The same thing applies to a prescription medication, I can absolutely cancel it before it ships.

I recently had a highly disappointing experience with the Veri app, and I feel compelled to share my negative feedback regarding their deceptive pricing practices and their refusal to honor the pricing they initially provided at the time of purchase. My encounter with Veri App has left me thoroughly dissatisfied and frustrated.

I was offered a promotional pricing for 3 month membership that stated $79 per month. It was only AFTER I had made the purchase and committed to the 3 month membership, they sent a receipt that said the $79 was only for the first month and not the remaining 2 months.

Buyer Beware: Although on the surface, it looks like Veri is much less expensive than it’s competitor Nutrisense, it only includes 2 sensors for the entire 3 month program, while Nutrisense is more transparent about their program offering, and provides 2 sensors each month, for a total of 6 sensors for 3 months. When you add up the cost of “optional additional sensors” purchased “at cost” from Veri, you end up paying almost the same amount as Nutrisense, but for a lower quality app experience.

When I contacted Veri App's customer support to discuss the discrepancy, I was met with unhelpful and dismissive responses. They displayed a complete lack of accountability and refused to honor the pricing they had initially quoted me. It was frustrating to see such a lack of integrity and disregard for their customers.

What makes matters worse is that Veri App did not provide any viable alternatives or solutions to rectify the situation. They simply brushed off my concerns, leaving me feeling cheated and taken advantage of. It's disheartening to witness a company resort to such deceptive tactics and then refuse to take responsibility for their actions.

Furthermore, the lack of transparency and poor communication from Veri App throughout this process has been highly unsatisfactory. A company that engages in deceptive pricing and fails to honor its commitments cannot be trusted to deliver reliable and ethical services. As a consumer, it's disconcerting to encounter such behavior and be left with a sense of betrayal.

I strongly advise against using the Veri App. If a CGM monitoring is what you are looking for, Nutrisense is a better business and a better app experience.

The app is extremely easy to use. The sensor is painless to apply and I have gotten a sense of how certain foods, sleep and activities affect my blood sugar.

The overall app experience and sign-up process is great. However, don’t be fooled by the cancellation language on the website - you have to pay 3 months minimum even if you pay per month. I found out it wasn’t for me and they refused to offer me a refund even though I won’t be using their product anymore. Do not recommend unless you’re willing to pay for 3 months of use minimum.

I am afraid i dont even have the right words to express how disappointing the whole experience with veri was.
1. The data you get in the app is the exact same data you get in the sensor app (libre app) and since you need the freestyle libre app because veri uses their sensors, the veri app is completely redundant.
2. The pricing isn't straightforward. I paid 109e per month, for 3 months. With this you get 2 sensors. I used mine back to back during the first month which meant for month 2 and 3 I literally paid 109e to have access to an app with data from over 1 month ago. This to me wasn't at all clear. They do have an option to pay for the app only and it isn't 109e per month so it felt like a massive rip off
3. Customer support was also disappointing. When i asked (and i truly wasn't being ironic) if i really had to pay 109e per month to have access to an app with old data they brushed it off and just said i could simply order more sensors.

Please, do not subscribe to veri.

I expected some surprises in tracking glucose but it’s been one after another, and totally worthwhile. I’m now eating almost everything I used to but with some tweaks that protect me from glucose spikes.

The whole process of getting set up takes a bit of effort, and I agree with one of the other reviewer is that the onboarding process needs to be reworked, but once you’re up and running, it’s really easy to take your measurements and understand what’s going on. And the whole idea of getting data that is specific to your system and not a generalization is pretty amazing.

As for Veri, the user interface is pretty good, although it is unnecessarily clunky in a few spots. The team behind it is pretty spectacular though. They are very quick to respond, never lose patience, and are very good at explaining all the details.

Overall, it’s a really terrific experience! By the way, my wife, who told me I was a nut for ordering a CGM when I don’t have diabetes, just ordered hers this past weekend. She was amazed by the data, and what it showed.

I like seeing how the changes effect my being. I do wish I could go back and forth to see what I did two days ago. Or when it says the meal on a certain day was better but can’t find the meal or day. I think you are on the right track but more detailed information would be so much more helpful.

Using the Veri app and sensor has been very easy and incredibly informative. Seeing how my body reacts to meals in different scenarios has been so valuable. The educational tips provided in the app are extremely relevant to me and I feel like I've already learned how to improve my metabolic health.
