I recently purchased my Mercedes E220d Cabriolet from Velocity Autohaus, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience.
This isn't your typical dealership where cars are swept up from auctions and flipped quickly for profit. Every single car in their stock is of exceptionally high quality. They come with a brand-new 12-month MOT, and it’s clear that absolutely no expense is spared in preparing these vehicles for new owners, my E220d was cleaned and detailed to an extremely high standard.
A special shoutout to Adam, who was helpful every step of the way:
Above & Beyond: He went out of his way to stay open late just so I could finalize the purchase.

Dishonesty and underhand tactics = cowboy car dealer

They have no ethics and epitomise the dodgiest of second-hand car salesmen. If you enjoy dealing with morally deficient people then look no further than Adam and Max when you next sell a car.

We are disappointed to read this review as it does not accurately reflect the interaction that took place.
Firstly, it was only Adam who attended to inspect the vehicle, not both Adam and Max as stated within the review.
Following inspection of the vehicle, several additional issues and condition concerns were identified which had not been disclosed within the original advert and materially affected the original Motorway valuation. The vehicle was in significantly worse condition than expected based on the listing provided.
Fault codes were also present on the vehicle and displayed on our dealer-level diagnostic equipment during inspection, further contributing to the concerns raised regarding the vehicle’s condition.
As a result, Adam advised you to return the vehicle to the finance company rather than proceeding with a sale, as the car was simply in too poor a condition for us to purchase. Any discussion regarding a revised valuation was solely due to the undisclosed condition issues identified during inspection.
Importantly, no revised offer was ever made to you, therefore the claim that you were pressured into accepting a lower offer is simply incorrect.
At no stage were you pressured, forced or misled. We also have a recording of the interaction, as we occasionally record customer appointments and vehicle inspections for social media and business purposes, which directly contradicts a number of the claims made within this review.
We always aim to treat customers fairly, professionally and transparently, and we are disappointed that this experience has been represented in this way.
For performance cars look elsewhere
So before explaining my experience i would like to say Adam is a nice guy, very polite but as a whole it took the excitement out for me. Brought a BMW M140i from this dealer and while the car itself is mechanically and drives well, the overall sale experience was disappointing.
The car was advertised with a warranty that was not provided due to it being tuned. It was also sold with a claimed performance figure, but after having the car independently checked and dyno tested, it produced alot less power than expected just days after purchase The car also had budget tyres, bodywork issues, dents/scratches, every wheel curbed, engine being warm upon arrival, making a rattling noise on test drive, navigation not working, and other issues that did not justify the asking price in my opinion.
I purchased the car with the understanding that it was retail prepped to a decent standard but the experience was no different than buying one off Facebook marketplace.
The main issue for me was not that the car was bad, because it isn’t. The issue was that it was overpriced for its actual condition/spec, and there was no willingness to move even slightly on price despite clear faults and compromises even just a few hundred pounds.
If the car had been described and priced more honestly, I would have viewed the experience very differently.

Thank you for your feedback, and we appreciate your comments regarding Adam being polite and helpful throughout the process.
We would however like to clarify a few points mentioned in the review.
- We did not tune the vehicle ourselves, nor do we have the facilities to dyno or tune cars. The advertised performance figures were based on a third-party dyno printout supplied with the vehicle showing 499bhp, which was shown to you prior to purchase and accepted at the time.
- You also spoke directly with the tuning company involved with the vehicle prior to purchase and appeared satisfied following those conversations.
- The vehicle was priced according to both its cosmetic condition and very high specification, including Harman Kardon audio, Pro Navigation, heated steering wheel and other factory options.
- Prior to viewing, a full 360-degree video of the interior and exterior was provided so the condition of the vehicle was clearly visible beforehand.
- There was never any pressure from us to purchase the vehicle. You viewed the car multiple times, including returning to inspect it from cold after concerns were raised about the engine temperature.
- The engine was warm on arrival because the car had been taken for a wash and fuel prior to your appointment, and we can provide the dated fuel receipt if required.
- The rattling noise mentioned was identified as the common BMW handbrake cable clip issue, which was repaired the same day once brought to our attention ( video proof was provided to you )
- We also explained that if you wanted the vehicle cosmetically prepared to a higher retail standard, this could have been arranged, however this would have increased the vehicle price.
- Any cosmetic imperfections were visible prior to purchase, and correcting all marks would have required repainting multiple panels. Many customers prefer original paintwork, so we chose to present the vehicle honestly in its current condition and price it accordingly.
- A discount was provided, although understandably not to the level requested, and we also waived the administration fee as a gesture of goodwill.
We fully understand that every customer wants the best possible deal, however as a business we also have to price vehicles fairly and sustainably based on condition, preparation, specification and market value.
We are pleased to hear that overall you acknowledge the car drives well mechanically, and we genuinely wish you all the best with the vehicle moving forward.

Really helpful
Really helpful - had my finance sorted with a broker who I didnt realise was charging me £300 to use their services. Adam informed me of this and sorted out my finance for me with their inhouse finance team and was able to get my finance sorted and got me a better rate than the broker. Really would recommend to everyone
