Account suspended without warning, only get them if you have a load balancer.

I used this service for a while, and after another deposit, I was blocked, referring to the fact that I am a Russian citizen, ignoring the fact that I do not live there, and I used my bank account from another country to deposit. This is a violation of the rights and a complete discredit of this company. Be prepared that you may simply be banned after you make a deposit, and you may still have paid services that will consume this deposit, despite the fact that the account is banned.

Scam alert! Bought over 10 instances only to find out the service are not working. Total waste of money. Support is a joke — Marcus just mocks you instead of helping. Avoid this garbage at all costs

Upcloud has been very great and stable.
I especially like that they have free 24/7 chat support.
Most similar providers do not provide tech support except via email or a ticketing system and are much
slower to response which is unacceptable if your server is having issues. My latest issue ended up being a user error but it was still nice to be able to have someone to help diagnose the problem.

Recently switched to UpCloud from another VPS provider. I've found their dashboard to be clear and easy to use. My interactions with technical support have been quick and professional.

I have been using UpCloud for over a decade.

UpCloud have been totally stable with no issues whatsoever. Their support has been responsive and I am happy with the speed of the server & disks.

I also use their Object Storage and this too has been top notch. The migration to their new Object Storage was well managed and communicated.

Pricing is good, service is good, support is good, and being an EU company in an EU datacenter, my stuff is safe from the long arms and small hands of our Dictator-in-Chief and his cronies.

I am writing this in the hope that somebody picks this up at Upcloud and actually does something about it.

Summary:

The Upcloud card payment system does not display the "verified by visa/mastercard" stage.

Therefore this causes declined transactions becasue many banks are becoming very strict and making VbV mandatory.

Problem:
I asked upcloud about it. They said there was no problem and told me it was my bank's problem.

They then closed the ticket, clearly not interested in discussing further.

Very poor customer service.

Flying in hot from a competitor (DO) for a new project, not only did UpCloud take the time to call me up to talk about some questions I had, I quickly set up some test-environments and while burning the literal midnight-oil (past midnight) UpCloud support-team answered within 1 minute - a little bit finnish crazyness there I guess ;)
BLAZING fast servers and network. Perhaps the UI is not as refined as others so you need to be a bit more techy - but that is a tradeoff well worth it.
And yeah - while moving away from US providers UpCloud really is top-notch provider to go with.
Really look forward to work with them many years to come.

Upcloud has clear and straightforward products and pricing. Pricing does not cause surprises.
Technical support is excellent. There are real people who really know their stuff. I always got help quickly without messing around support tickets or chat bots or being tossed around from one support level to the next.
