I have only positive things to say about United American Moving and Storage. It was my first time hiring movers, and the experience was fantastic. Their communication and professionalism were excellent. They were punctual, efficient, and even coordinated with another company delivering a fridge. Despite some last-minute items and multiple stops, they handled everything smoothly. United American has the best prices, and they were honest about costs, unlike others. I highly recommend them for anyone in need of moving services.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with United American Moving & Storage, and I am compelled to share my disappointment with their services. My interaction with this company left me feeling misled and taken advantage of, with a significant increase in the moving cost that was not only unjustified but also unprofessionally handled.

The trouble began when I was initially contacted by Dan, who claimed to work with United American Moving & Storage. Dan requested an inventory list of my large items for a move from California to Texas. I diligently provided the information, including an overestimation of medium to large-sized boxes as per his request.

The quote I received for my large items and the agreed-upon 25 boxes seemed reasonable at $1,797. However, just two days before the scheduled moving date, I received a call from a dispatcher named Roxy, informing me of a supposed discrepancy in my inventory list. According to Roxy, there were more items listed in the contract than in the list I provided. When I questioned this inconsistency, she mentioned that when they say "large," it could mean all items.

This sudden revelation resulted in a staggering 50% increase in the original cost, bringing the total to $2,631. I attribute this to Dan's questionable sales tactics, manipulating the process through vague questions and unclear terminology.

To make matters worse, attempts to reach Dan for clarification or resolution proved futile, as I could only communicate with Roxy. Despite feeling misled and slighted, when I requested a refund of my $700 deposit due to the discrepancies and dissatisfaction with the process, Roxy flatly denied my request, citing the proximity to the pick-up date.

The lack of accountability, unresponsiveness from key personnel, and the overall lack of transparency in their sales process make me strongly advise against using United American Moving & Storage. The seemingly "too good to be true" initial quote turned out to be exactly that – an illusion that ultimately led to an unpleasant and costly experience. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this company at all costs.

This is a clarification to United American Moving & Storage response on my review:

The inventory list I provided on January 2nd was predicated on the question, please tell me the LARGE items in your inventory, not ALL the items.

Do you see the difference? If he asked for ALL the items I would have provided him the entire list not just the large items on that list.

I did not forget to mention the items, I was not asked for them.

As for the call recordings, I requested copies of them to which I was denied. Funny how that works right? They claim I said something on a recorded call that I'm not allowed access to.

When I asked Dan if they are a broker or a carrier, he adamantly denied. As he knew I did not want to work with a broker.

He later admitted he was a broker after they did not want to take accountability for my refund request.

All too convenient.

The long story short, United American Moving and Storage will tell you everything you want to hear, from discounted rates to extra accommodations or denying they are a broker and not a carrier. All to get you to send the deposit and sign the contract, then when they change the "locked in pricing" they hold you tightly to the agreement they fraudulently explained to you.

Don't let this company gaslight you into thinking you made a mistake or misinterpreted the conversation. These are sleazy sales tactics to get you to sign a unenforceable contract.

The people at United American moving and storage, were amazing! James, our representative, was really clear about everything, making sure we wouldn't face any surprise charges. We were moving a long way—2800 miles—and our goal was to finish it within 14 days. But guess what? United American not only got it done in 14 days, but they finished the whole move in just 12 days! And they kept us updated throughout the entire cross-country move.

Our mover, James, was awesome! He was on time, super quick, pro, nice, and friendly. He helped load the van and was really polite and chatty the whole time. I'd totally recommend this company. They went above and beyond to help us out.

I found myself in a last-minute scramble, needing a moving truck within 24 hours. The previous company I'd initially chosen, despite being $500 cheaper, suddenly hiked their price by $1800 just two days before my move. That's when I turned to United American Moving and Storage, the company I should've chosen from the start.

Right from the get-go to the very end, everyone was incredibly professional and friendly. They made sure everything was crystal clear and that everyone was on the same page before we kicked things off. The driver and movers were punctual, tidy, and impressively skilled.

"I got an online estimate from United American Moving and Storage, and they called me back in a few hours with a great price. So, I booked their services over the phone, which was really straightforward. They kept me informed about what would happen next.
The moving crew came in, did their work, and left. It was an uncomplicated process. When they picked up my belongings, they did a fantastic job packing everything carefully to prevent any damage. I would have given them a 5 star but taking one star for a month late delivery of our items. Job taken by united American moving and storage was handed to Carefree Movers who now changed their name as us interstate and rail. CareFree movers are completely disaster in term of communication estimate and planning and professionalism. They did not deliver our items well over the month of the deliver date. We really had hard time talking to customer service people to get the status of items and the when it can be delivered only answer you get from them is you will get the call from driver. Roxy and team from United American moving and Storage helped me day and night to chase my items and we finally got it delivered on time. I would always recommend to check FMSCA website with the company's USDOT number and see if they will be the one picking up the items and look for the review before signing the contract.

United American Moving And Storage was an absolute blessing. We were stuck because a different moving company that we hired showed up in one it almost $3000 more. We were stuck with all of our stuff on a different truck with no way of moving almost 1200 miles. We contacted our backed up which honestly we should’ve just went with in the first place, which is united American moving and storage. They showed up it was a little bit more money because the other company under quoted us. But instead of it being almost $3000 more it was only $700 more than the original quote from the company I should’ve never went with in the first place. Lesson learned you never want to go with the lowest price than anything let alone, long-distance moving. Don’t make the mistake I did and just pay the couple hundred dollars more to get a reliable, trustworthy moving company.

However, on August 10th, you added more items, totaling 30 items and 78 pieces, which increased the cubic feet to 806. Due to these additions, there were additional charges, but these charges were a result of the extra items added after the initial inventory."

"UNITED AMERICAN MOVING & STORAGE:Due to this inconvenience, we offered a $500 partial refund as compensation. We then asked you to sign a nondisclosure form, I not as hush money, but to ensure that any compensation offered wouldn't lead to negative online reviews."

United American Moving and Storage, under the leadership of Kirk and his crew, were absolutely phenomenal. Their dedication in officially sweltering heat was truly commendable. To add a humorous twist to those two long days of packing, there was a day with no air conditioning, and yet, not a single complaint from anyone! It was so hot that they even had to change their shirts three times because they were soaking wet.

Through it all, everyone maintained a remarkably positive attitude, which speaks volumes about their professionalism. Kirk’s outstanding leadership truly shone, and the entire team continued to impress with their unwavering dedication. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire squad at United American moving and storage team for not only meeting but exceeding the standards for performance excellence. You all are truly remarkable, and I appreciate everything you've done!

I booked this move including the Furniture stuff.
I asked that guy if I would be able to sell my furniture . Will we adjust the price by excluding all the furniture?
That guy was very confident and said yes sir. we will exclude it and your moving cost will be much lower. Then I paid a $743 deposit.
Now after I sold my furniture I reached out and they are saying that we can't go lower and price will be the same. if you cancel the contract, you won't get a deposit back. They were so rude.

Needless to say that looking through different moving companies for quotes was a nightmare with lots of phone calls the following days.. United American moving and storage however gave us a quick estimate, the estimator on the phone was very nice and spent almost 1 hour answering all our questions, virtually touring the house and explaining everything. We moved from Miami FL to Denver CO and the price was fair, not a lot more expensive than renting a truck ourselves and driving across country.

the delivery happened the day it was supposed to at the exact time that was discussed.

Both loading and unloading crews were super efficient and very nice. Everything arrived in good condition, besides a couple dents on some furnitures that were reported on a claim. The move coordinator was very present and answered emails within just a few minutes every time we had a question. I was terrified of moving companies after reading so many bad reviews and some relatives that went through hell when they hired one. I am relieved and thankful to know that some companies are still serious and honest

Pathetic service and fully unprofessional..they don't help, when you need them..also they assigned one truck for my luggage, who looted my money like anything...they promise a lot before moving ,but when issue happens, you won't get any help from them..not trustworthy..I lost lot of money for them...if you want to do your delivery with them, do it your own risk.

Really, I never got any help from the day of packing till now.1st of all your team never responded, when I need help and you promised lot of misleading thing before booking and later simply you denied and Rado express also denied. I have to pay $675 extra ,which was not part of the deal with less then 286 cu ft space and you never tried to contact me and on top of that I got pathetic service from Rado express. There was no sectional sofa ,king mattress in my luggage. Please dont share wrong and misleading information and I already informed 15 medium boxes to your team multiple times,but as usual they forgot.So please don't try to give an excuse that you tried to help. This is so unprofessional and misleading support.

Excellent service, my wife and I were very concerned about our moving process until we found these guys. Highly efficient, courteous, and professional. I would highly recommend!
