You pay 1 euro trial and then they charge you with 49.99. Do not pay anything!!!! Find alternatives, please!

Plainly a scam operation which is a pity since the software actually works ok.
As with others my £1.99 payment (by debit card for a 7 day trial was followed by a£49.99 payment a week later.
The payment was taken by ultrapdf and the invoice was from PDFsmart.Clearly the same outfit.
I was ablle to access an account with PDFsmart and cancelled "my subscription" which was confirmed by email.We shall see if that is successful.
It is impossible to access any account with ultra pdf.So I emailed them as well.
My bank has blocked ultra pdf and i hope that that is the end of the matter. Hopefully my bank will reverse the £49.99 as these companies have a long scamming history.

Son estafadores. Intentan cobrar 49,99€ por suscripción falsa. Por fortuna, la política anti fraude de mi banco lo ha detectado automáticamente y ha rechazado el pago.

Just like everyone else here, got scammed for £49.99, and thank goodness managed to block them. But every month they try and try to charge my Visa card.
Not only, the programme didn’t manage to open the pdf as advertised either, which I’ve paid £1 + £49.99 for.

Ultrapdf est une arnaque: j'ai moi aussi été débité par ultrapdf de près de 50€/par mois avec au départ l'impossibilité d'annuler l'abonnement. Il faut aller sur le site de pdfsmart, ce que j'ai découvert par hasard.

Got scammed by these for 49.99 in feb 2026 , stopped all bank cards etc , only to get hit again by them in march april too, when speaking to bank fraud they had managed to use new card as my wallet had paid for original 1.99 , so make sure you delete cards from wallets as thats how they also try again with new card added to your wallet on phone which i wasnt told on first incident !

Utter scam. Do not use. Paid for one document and the following week was debited £46 as a un wanted / not agreed to subscription.

I, like other unfortunates, initially thought I was paying £1 for a trial of PDFSmart. But despite sending me no subsequent information, they started taking £34.99 a month from my credit card. As I wasn't checking these bills properly, I didn't notice this for a while and I have asked my card company to cease any future payments & dispute past transactions as best they can.

PDFSmart - please respond publicly

Like so many others who have shared their experiences here, I have been tricked by this company, who have continued to take payments long after my subscription was cancelled.
My subscription was cancelled on 5 June 2025. Despite this, UltraPDF (also operating as PDF Smart) has acknowledged the cancellation but continue to charge £49.99 from my account every month since.

As mentioned in several other postings on Trustpilot this is common practice for this company. They do not provide receipts and have made it almost impossible to find a way of cancelling unwanted subscriptions on theit website – not that it makes any difference when you do because they continue to take a monthly subscription once they have your bank details. This is then excused by a generated response quoting their so called AI generated subscription terms.

When I asked them to provide company legal details they ignored my request, using a tactic to deflect from the question. I advised them that under UK/EU law ( in which they operate ) the Electronic Commerce Regulations 2023 state that a business must make these details available to the consumer upon request, they ignored this too. I have to assume they do not comply with the law and work to their own standards which basically amount to cheating people out of their money, which given they work in many countries must be a very lucrative business

UltraPDF I invite you to offer a clear public response explaining why payments continued to be taken from peoples accounts after subscriptions are cancelled? Why you do not provide receipts? And why you have made it almost impossible to find a way of cancelling a subscription, as so many have detailed here on Trustpilot.

Estafadores hijos de put@. Me han cobrado 49,99€ de mi tarjeta. He bloqueado el pago recurrente solicité otra tarjeta y hoy han intentado cobrar otra vez. Aunque pida otra tarjeta ellos tienen acesso a los datos. Ahora estoy intentando que mi banco los bloquee. Tampoco hay manera de contactar con ellos por ningún lado.

scam, I paid a single fee for a one-week service (it never mentioned a trial, nor automatic subscription enrollment). I was automatically enrolled into a service without my consent or knowledge as it was not properly communicated anywhere on the website or throughout my user experience.

Shame on you Ultra Pdf, you took a 1.99 fee as agreed then a week later took £49.99 as a part of a subscription which I didnt sign up for since last June. I found this on January and reported to Barclays card who helped to dispute January's and but found I was charged again in Feburary back which I got it refunded but now, in March, They charge me once again which I just phoned Barclayscard. Shame.

Paid my £1.99 and then cancelled as bought adobe. They continued to take DD out @£49.99 !!!!! In my opinion the actions are more of a scammer than a legit business... just saying x

I completely agree with what has been said by previous reviewers. This is an absolute SCAM! They even charged a full next month payment a few minutes after I asked for cancellation.
One more thing to add - another layer of their scamming practices is the fact that UltraPdf and PdfSmart is the same company. I had only an account with PdfSmart and they charged me twice! Once as PdfSmart and then as UltraPdf. Don't ever use them!!!

SCAM SCAM SCAM - i signed up for the GBP1 option and then they put throught the GBP49.99 charge as well.

I did not authorise this, and they REFUSED to refund my money.

Scammers ! Bank fraud dept just rang the wife ! These fraudsters tried to take £49.99 ! Bank stopped it ! She insists she has never paid them a penny before , wonder how they got her card details ! 🤬 card cancelled . ! Be aware !
