Poor customer service / Not been able to use two items

Read other reviews - others have had issues
I ordered 3 wooden A boards (2 the same / 1 different)
The brief - font / text only / no images were asked for
The proof came through - I made amends to the font, the image looked how it should - wood grain back ground.
When it was delivered the single A board was perfect, the other 2 had images all over it of food items.
Similar to other negative reviews this company does not try to help and blames you as you have signed off the proof. The images that were added to the A board are so faint - my self and my colleague did not see it - it looks like wood grain - we had to zoom in a lot to be able to see it.
The design was incredibly mis-leading!
We never asked for any images - text only
The images they added we do not sell
The other A board completed perfectly - shame the other two were not!
The proof was terrible - you could not see it.
They offered a re-print for £200 - to go half on the cost.
I declined - Dreadful emails from them and passing the blame to me.
Customer service is not good enough.
Either becareful - or do not use this company.

This order included our full design service, where our studio team created a professional artwork for your boards.
A proof was issued prior to production so that all elements; including layout, text, and background imagery, could be reviewed.
The proof stage exists so customers can approve, request changes, or reject a design before we move forward. To clarify, in this case the proof was approved by yourself.
The boards were then produced exactly as approved, and the background images were clearly visible on the proof.
As this was a business-to-business order for a personalised product, returns or refunds aren’t available unless the items are faulty or damaged.
That said, we offered a goodwill solution to produce two replacement boards with revised artwork at a discounted cost, covering half the price ourselves, to help resolve the situation.
We take all feedback seriously and always aim to provide helpful, high-quality service. While we regret this solution didn’t meet your expectations, we hope future projects go smoothly for you.

The solar light only worked for a year…
The solar light only worked for a year. Have had solar lights purchased elsewhere that last for 5+ years with no issues. This one failed just outside of the warranty period so UK sign shop wouldn’t replace.
Noticed there is no option to leave product reviews on their website. They have product reviews but not convinced they’re actually genuine customer reviews given theres no option for a customer like myself to leave one on their website.
In summary wouldn’t recommend as don’t think the quality of the product is worth it. UK sign shop did offer me a menial discount to purchase another but didn’t see the point as don’t want to be paying for a replacement light on a yearly basis when it fails. Would rather pay for a quality solar light from elsewhere that lasts.

Easy to design your own sign
Easy to design your own sign. We were kept informed at every stage. The delivery company declared our package missing and as soon as I informed the UK sign shop they started to do replacements. The second time a different delivery company was used and we were very pleased with the signs. They were exactly as we designed.

Looks good but Quality not so good
Purchase: 'Birchland' house sign.
* Visually: From a distance, the sign looks good.
* Quality: Poor/rough finish to the back plate and only time will tell as to how long the numbers and characters will remain in place.
* I would have liked a quicker delivery but was in no particular rush.
* Would I purchase again: NO. I like the overall look and design but not the quality of the product. I'd probably look elsewhere.

failed delivery on Friday 20th Feb, penned in for next day,,,,no show after waiting all day, Monday penned in delivered to some randoms front door, Company say I didn't send full address...WHICH I DID! and paying on paypal they automatically get address from paypal as they, and I, well know, they evade responsibility at all costs they are liars with no integrity at all. No wonder the poor delivery men could not deliver, these incompetents are a disgrace, they send packages out with only a part of the address on it and blame the customer.disgusting cheap company, use at your peril!

We’re sorry to read this and would like to clarify the situation.
We dispatch orders using the shipping address entered in the delivery section at checkout. While PayPal may store an address, our system does not automatically override or amend the shipping details provided during the checkout process. The courier label is generated directly from the address entered in that specific field.
In this case, the shipping information submitted did not include the full property details, which is why the courier experienced difficulty delivering the parcel.
Although the personalised sign included a house name as part of the design, we cannot assume that design text forms part of the delivery address unless it is entered in the correct shipping section.
Despite the circumstances, we offered a replacement at half price to be sent to the corrected address as a gesture of goodwill.
We always aim to resolve issues fairly and professionally. However, we do not accept abusive or profane language in our communications, and we found the tone of your emails completely unacceptable. We encourage all customers to contact us respectfully so that we can work together toward a practical solution.

A Good Experience
I've just used UK Sign Shop and the experience has genuinely been a good one. They took my original design that was not in a usable format and delivered the wooden sign ordered exactly the way I wanted it. For that reason, I highly recommend them as they've come up trumps.

Highly recommend, my initial order did take nearly 4 weeks to arrive (Ordered over the xmas period) so they had a back-log of work however communication was spot on, unfortunately house plaque did arrive damaged however between Nico & Melissa, a replacement was sorted swiftly and I received it 13 days later. Accidents happen but these guys resolved it quickly, efficiently and I would not hesitate from purchasing their products again.

Very disappointing results from this…
Very disappointing results from this product, despite great service when the order is discussed as soon as there was a problem they denied all responsibility and said "we signed off" the approval! Failed to turn up to sort out the problem on time and after chasing they said "we are very busy" A service supplier should take responsibility when things don't go to plan in my opinion. Be careful!

We’re glad that the ordering process and discussions were positive. We’d like to clarify the situation.
You initially requested an illuminated light sign, which was outside your budget. You then decided to order a plain acrylic wall sign and advised that you would add your own LED lighting behind it. The order was then processed and proofed as requested, and you approved the design at the proof stage.
After you added your own LED's to it, you raised concerns about seeing the light through the front of the panel. As the panel was supplied without integrated lighting, this effect is expected. We offered a solution by providing a block out vinyl backing to help conceal the light shown through, and also provided a quote for professional installation at your request.
During the scheduled installation, our installer was unfortunately delayed. We apologised for the delay and that there was a break down in communication regarding this. However we offered to continue with the installation free of charge and refund the installation cost. However, you declined the install.
We always aim to resolve issues and provide clear guidance on what is included in each order. In this case, the product was manufactured and supplied as approved, and we took steps to offer solutions when concerns were raised.
We hope this clarifies the situation and thank you again for sharing your feedback.

Hadley Door Sign complaint now 100% resolved & happy.
My new Hadley sign arrived before Christmas & it looked so lovely. Just what I wanted. We were waiting for a new front door to be fitted so didn't put the new door sign up until early Jan this year. It looked so nice & had lots of complimentary comments. Was so disappointed to come home & find that one of the letters had dropped off after only 4 weeks.
Phoned customer services & they said they can see I live near the sea & that is why this has happened due to coastal corrosion! I live over 10 miles from the sea!! I was told to send an email & photographic evidence which I did straight away. Within minutes a reply was sent back. Yes its coastal corrosion from airborne particles that travel inland! Follow this link & you will see this is clearly stated on our website that we don't advise a ceramic sign within coastal areas. Followed the link & could find no mention of coastal corrosion, only stating how wonderful all the products are,such high grade & 100% weatherproof & waterproof. They suggested i should order a slate sign & said if you email us again we will offer a small discount. I replied that i don't want a slate sign as I do not live near the sea & even if I did I wouldn't expect letters to corrode & drop off so quickly. I would like a new ceramic Hadley sign as clearly the one I was sent was faulty & not fit for purpose.
I have had no response to my email & hence I've had to give a negative review.
I have done some research & investigation myself & I appreciate what they are saying about airborne particles from the sea but given I live in excess of 10 miles from the sea this is unlikely & more likely to be as a result of a faulty vinyl overlay.
My neighbours have similar door signs that have been up for years & still look as good as new.
Hopefully someone might reply to my review?
9th Feb Update- Have now been contacted by customer services with an apology & a new sign being sent out to me.

When you first contacted us, we initially considered environmental factors as a possible cause, as some areas within approximately 10 miles of the coast, can experience airborne salt exposure depending on wind conditions. Based on that, coastal impact was discussed as a potential explanation.
However, after further investigation with our production team, we identified that the issue was related to a newer vinyl material that was not performing to our usual weather-resistance standards. As soon as this was confirmed, we reverted back to our original, proven method and materials, and arranged a replacement.
We sincerely apologise again for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience while we investigated and resolved the matter.
If you feel your overall experience has now been resolved to your satisfaction, you’re very welcome to update the rating to reflect that. The main thing is that we’re simply glad we were able to put things right.

Our sign was delivered with the drill…
Our sign was delivered with the drill holes misaligned and the text on the slate sloping. We measured it at 2-2.5mm and they would not replace it claiming it was within their acceptable tolerance limits. After several messages, photos and clarifications, we were only offered a minor discount on a new sign. We have had to order another sign from another provider and were left very disappointed.

We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your Ascot slate sign. As explained during our email correspondence, natural slate is not perfectly square due to its hand-cut, natural edge finish.
Because of this, both drill holes and engraved designs can sit a millimetre or two from the perfect centre. This is clearly outlined on the product page and within the “Good to Know” section before purchase.
After reviewing the photographs provided, we measured the alignment variance at approximately 2–2.5mm. This falls within our stated tolerance levels and quality control standards. All of our slate signs are checked prior to dispatch, and this sign met those standards.
We fully understand that alignment preferences can be subjective, particularly with natural materials. However, as the sign was produced as described and within our advertised tolerances, we were unable to offer a free replacement or refund.
We did, however, offer a goodwill gesture of either a partial refund or a discount towards an alternative material such as acrylic, which does not have the same natural variations as slate.
We’re sorry that this solution was not acceptable on this occasion, but we remain confident that the product supplied was manufactured in line with the material characteristics and information provided at the point of sale.
