Staff very attentive and helpful. Building was very nice, drinks available, magazines to read.
Unit where scan was , was very clean, private cubicles for privacy and staff put you at ease .

Very fast and simple process with quick results. Highly recommend.

I had from start to finish a great experience. Information prior and during my scan was helpful and individualised. Follow up later with results discussion was really helpful.

At first found this site very frustrating as I booked a scan for the next day as there was availability but they never got back to me and I had to contact them! I had to wait a week but the actual scan was quick and efficient

Very poor communication
Booked and paid for an appointment that did not exist at scanning centre.
Referral person didn’t leave enough time for me to pick up phone twice, and no way to call back.
Scanning centre seemed only to have an answer phone.
Cancelled other appointments to go to their appointment only to find it was overbooked and have to back 5 days latter.

The whole process was quick, efficient and personal.
I greatly appreciated the personal feedback and the clarity of the report.
An excellent service.

An MRI scan on my right knee, Scan.Com were quick and responsive

Appointment cancelled twice with only 90 mins notice

The main issue was parking, the car park is very small for the size of the hospital so you would have to be incredibly fortunate to find a parking space. When I arrived I went in to reception to ask where I could park and I was rudely told on the street, all the streets are residential parking only fortunately I left the car with my partner and went in for my appointment.
Secondly the MRI centre is in container round the rear of the hospital with no waiting area, so I was asked to wait in Phlebotomy waiting area inside the main hospital.

Almost 3 weeks in and still no scan date. Rang the center responsible for the scan who had no record of a request and advised that scan.com probably "using the wrong email address". Have spoken to scan.com 3x and they have achieved nothing - last "did not have access to the system" and was quite patronisingly unhelpful. I find myself keep checking internet just to reassure myself that they are in fact a legitimate company. So £600 down and would have been quicker on the NHS..

The measure of a good company is not when it all goes fantastically well. It's when things go badly. That is where you find out just how good a company is.

My direct experience is that this company is a shambles. It made sense for me to make an appointment soonest and locally. The problem was that by the time their very slow internal organisation grindingly moved forward the appointment I sought was gone. Their mantra is don't make travel arrangements in case the centre can't meet the appointment. That's their secret speak for: we put the soonest appointments on our website, but chances are they won't be available because we are so so slow on the scan UK side.

I did contact Scan UK and got an e mail back that was so badly put together that it contradicted itself. Whoever wrote it either did not check their work or did and did not understand what they themselves had put on the e mail.

Finally after negotiating with the scan centre direct who were EXCELLENT. I made an appointment. Then I get a confirmation of the appointment from Scan UK that attaches a screen dump telling me - wait for it... Not to make any travel arrangements. But nothing about the appointment details.

I did have my scan and and I am still waiting for the pdf results. They did call me and tell me this was coming. Nothing appeared. So I chased and got an e mail asking me to tell them what a great job they had done. I know that they wanted me to congratulate them, because I told them they had not done a great job and never heard any more back to follow-up.

So I am over £400 out of pocket and still await the scan document.

So now I have a response from Scan.com. Which is not really greatly helpful. This is what it says:

And BTW how can the scan team "reach out" surely I am the one reaching out?

So if the (very sorry to say) brain dead people at Scan UK can give me a name ( even a first name will do) and even a phone number or extension number or even a department or an e mail address?

Wouldn't that make sense?

From my "team" to your "team" please get your act together!

Funnily enough in their next reply, they have asked for information about me. As always they are hiding behind on opaque shield of "the team" and not releasing anything like the name of a person or a phone number. They are "the team" . I can only assume that this is because they are worried that other people, dissatisfied with their poor service might use that information to complain as well. And all the faceless "team" want is praise.

AS A FURTHER NOTE HERE - DISCUSSING THINGS WITH MY GP W/C 21-09-26. TO MY AMAZEMENT NHS HAVE NOW MADE MRI SCANS QUICKLY AVAILABLE. I GOT ONE IN 3 WEEKS. COST TO ME WAS ZERO. Maybe worth a try?

I did get a reply from the "team" at scan.com stating they had supplied the needed pdf. So let me ask a question here: Do you think I would be wasting my time chasing something that I had already received? I think the answer to that is "no" But clearly the "team" at Scan don't understand that concept and only state. We have supplied it to you. Here we go round and round again. So to make things happen a little faster. I disputed the credit card payment. That really worked well and woke them up. I got contacted pretty much immediately by - YES! a person with a name. I guess actual customer service is not high on their priority list but not getting THE MONEY is top priority. The long running saga continues.... Another question: If you were faced with a customer saying they had not received a PDF what would you do to expedite the situation? Difficult one I know. Send another one maybe? Just saying. Anyway lets see if the money side of things finally gets me that PDF!

Update September 22nd

Within approx 45 minutes of my responding to the finance team, I received my PDF. Isn't that amazing! Proving conclusively that "money talks" At last I can get on with the rest of my life!

Update September 27th

Checking over the weekend I noticed that although they supplied me with a PDF report. What they claim is included in the cost was omitted.

"Digital access to your report and images, including a patient-friendly interactive report to help you navigate your results with confidence."

I have certainly not seen any "images" or any "patient friendly interactive report"

So what was that all about?

Anybody at Scan UK have any ideas?

The whole experience from start to finish was excellent The staff were lovely and professional.
Getting the results so quick was an added bonus

I suffer with claustrophobia so I had a my Mri, feet first, the scanning team weir extremely helpful and reassuring.
Mri done quickly from appointment to results within a week.

Seamless system and results made available very quickly.

Prompt courteous service and good advice. Will use again when needed.
