Locked out of 9 year old email 3 weeks ago!
Had an email with them for 9 years which I run my business through. Since they changed their support to a paid premium support I’ve coincidentally been locked out of my account and the only recovery phone number is an old one. Now I’ve been locked out for 3 weeks and no clients can get hold of me. I did get through to their paid support and they sent me an email asking for ID. This was 9 days ago and I still haven’t heard back. I called today but they just told me I need to wait. Absolute joke!
I’ve now opened up a new email with proton, apparently this is the most secure one you can get anyway.
Sudden changes locked my account and there is no service to help sort it out.
I've had a Yahoo mail account for years, it was fine. But now, today, they've suddenly stopped my account from working as they say its full (in fairness it is pretty full!) but I've spent hours deleting emails to create space and then not been able to delete them from the account as it's not working. There are no options to talk to anyone except a phone no which didnt work. I attempted to upgrade so I can get some help (why should I have to upgrade to get help?!!) but as I'm not in the USA it wont accept my upgrade. I've tried speaking to "customer service" on facebook who told me to send a form which has not not been answered and I have to sit by my compluter to see if an email has arrived (it hasn't). I've spend hours trying to sort this out but been unsuccessful as they don't want you to be able to contact them for help. What a waste of my life. I may have lost a job due to this happening. I'm furious. I will be transferring my account to by Gmail account from now on. My advice is these are outdated services and have no care for their customers at all even to take their money haha which seems a crazy business model!

It used to be an ok yahoo mail. However recenly I keep getting locked out my account, passwords no longer recognised, endless trying to log in and wasting vasts amount of time I dont have. I used to love computers now I hate them. Take me back to pen and paper sod this.
Shoddy rubbish company and staff with no idea of "customer service or help"
Still being locked out of account due to having to solve 8 pages of CAPCHA images - photos so blurred that the "photographer" possibly used the bottom of a brown ale bottle as a lens. A truly shoddy, third rate company with no contact details whatsoever. Will possibly move to Proton and Yahoo can go out of business for all I care.

I was locked out of my account for a month. I was not given a reason, each time I tried logging in I would type the username (there was no password field, only a “next” option bellow the username field), I would click “next” and then it would lock me out with a message "try again in 24 hours" and no explanation or reason. Then the next day (after 24 hours) the exact same thing would happen. For no reason, with no way of contacting someone, asking for help (there is no customer service) or doing anything at all. It was my work email, that caused me very serious issues with my job and my clients. So I stopped using this email and started using gmail, but the transition was and still is extremely difficult, I had been using the yahoo email for years, I have a lot of work related emails, this situation has caused me a lot of problems.
Unable to block phishing or spam sender
Senders are able to include "From a Trusted Sender" in their emails which then means you cannot block them. All you can do is delete the emails. Yahoo support simply didn't help, saying they couldn't view the info I sent them. They didn't need to see the images, I explained by text. They had no response.
Old emails missing
Old emails missing! Since being forced onto the new style account I have lost old emails. I now have emails from 2023 only to present day. The old account I had around 8 pages to go back over, now I just one page. Does this mean emails will be deleted on a rolling basis? If so this is worrying. Can not get a reply from yahoo they too seem a faceless company.
Unreliable Rubbish
I operate my Yahoo Mail account from 3 different computers depending upon where I am. I also use my mobile phone.
Every time I go to log in on my computers I have to prove I am not a bot
I am asked to tick small boxes with grainy out of focus photos of certain items.
This is a very limited way of proving who I am and being visually handicapped I'm ticking boxes forever
Then I get locked out
If I use my phone I get in straight away.
So this proves what a stupid user unfriendly way the "I'm not a robot" system is

good evening...I lost my yahoo email password and it won't let me in because the recovery email to which the reply for the forgotten password is sent has been deactivated due to non-use (always yahoo if you want to check). Now I have a new one...is it possible to regain possession of the account in question? thanks
Customer care negligence / No response to reported emails on dark web
Contacted yahoo to delete two of my emails as they were on dark web and was a huge security risk and couldnt log into yahoo account to delete them myself verification process is flawed. Have sent them passport, driving licence, pics of myself as requested and still not been able to get into account or have they deleted them as I have requested, this has gone on for over 2 months. AVOID YAHOO AT ALL COSTS - Customer car X chat, ringing them is total waste of time. Court action for negligence is only way forward to make sure my two email accounts are deleted

turned into a scam service - lock all out of their a/c's, fail to send verification codes, offer a paid subscription service to get anyone help for logging in - well done yahoo ... a self-inflicted wound / manipulative business model. A message to all yahoo users ... go to another, non-manipulative, provider as yahoo is not worthy of your time.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the handling of my recent service request regarding the loss of emails from my inbox and sent folder. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter through your customer service channels, I have yet to see any action taken to restore my emails as promised.
I noticed that a significant number of emails had been mistakenly moved to my trash folder. After promptly contacting your customer service team, I was assured that all emails would be restored to my inbox. However, despite repeated follow-ups, no action has been taken, and my inquiries have gone unanswered.
This lack of responsiveness is unacceptable and severely impacts my ability to retrieve important communications. As a customer, I expect the service provider to act in good faith and fulfill the commitments made. The continued disregard for my concerns demonstrates a failure in customer care and service reliability.
I request immediate intervention to restore my emails to their original location. Don't know exact date, because that was deleted too!

Over 12,000+files vent into the Trash buket, in 10 seconds, buket has no "Restore" or"RECOVER "button or any other option to restore those 12,000 + files built up over 25 years. Some very important files, all of the car related informations, MOT, Tax, insurance, House,Gas, electric, water, TV, licence, so many other Purchases related documents, insurance, appointment , healt related files,Children, birth related documents for all the family concern maters, job related documents, files been keeping all under the different files name. Home domestic appliances their purchases, warranty and insurance documents, etc...I have been using Yahoo Mail since from their first early years and I didn't see any problems, but lately they added new service which it could be useful, specially receiving unwanted emails from only that company could be all deleted. I have already used one's, that worked ok, removed all the previous unwanted emails gone into trash buket and just to delete them from the buket all OK. But two days ago I tried to same way to delete all the emails from a company, I pres the button, in 10 seconds, later I see all my other files gone in to trash buket. And I noticed, there's No "RESTORE BUTTON"?!... That was shocking Worst thing is the Files didn't stay together as they moved, probably they settle in date order, so no control over the files?! If there was a restore button like Trash Buckets has wouldn't be a problem like thats. Last two days I am trying to restore each individual files back into their own files. It's painful, so much time consuming.God know, How long is going to take time to recover all those files. (other worries I didn't left them in the trash bucket, move into the "in the Box", because they may be all deleted if I left them in there)!?...
So, Yahoo must find a solutions and add a restore button if anyone accidentally deleted the wrong files they can recover the files.

Utterly useless - one of the worse companies I have ever encountered. No customer service and clearly want no contact from anyone to resolve any issues. I will be moving to another mail provider asap which will be a real waste of a lot of time. Thanks Yahoo.

Utterly useless. Now into week 2 of receiving this error message 'Uh oh Looks like something went wrong.
Please try again later'. The online support is out of order (has been for a week). Utterly awful in all ways.
Then tried to chat online - of course it just disappeared into a black hole. So then tried to google search any way of contacting. There was a contact link that gave you two options - neither of which was relevant. Simple and unbridled contempt for their customers - this combined with unimaginable sheer incompetence makes for a very potent mixture.
Can not mail Yahoo
I work as a freelance journalist and depend on reliable mail, but in the past months, some business partners have told me they cannot mail me. I receive emails from others so the problem seems to be on/off. I have tried to contact Yahoo but it does not seem they have a contact formula or an email address which I find extremely unsatisfying.
