Order for a friend and it came within days. She was very pleased as she couldn’t use the tv with out the humax remote

New Aura product intermittently failing.
Emailed customer support and Melisa came back with precise understandable instructions to reset the box. Miraculously it resolved the issue. Thanks Melisas.

Good when it works OK, but it had extremely annoying faults.

It records the full length of a programme but won't play it. It just jumps straight to the end.
It loses track of where it is on a restart on some recordings .
Some recordings jump to part way through the recording rather than playing from the start.
On occasions, it will record the same program on the same date/channel /time twice.

Has a problem registering warrant for new Aura PVR, contacted Humax by email and problem solved.

I needed a new remote for a Humax Aura and it arrived in a reasonable time and now everything is working properly.

Considering it was nearly closing time on a Friday afternoon, Melisa was very patient with me and sent me a simple step by step guide to reset my Aura. It was so useful having an email I could reply to so I felt supported should I have had any further difficulties.

I bought a reburbished Humax box which looked brand new. It was next day delivery and well packaged. Setting up wasn’t a problem and so far all is good. Overall I’ve been really happy.

This is the third Humax pvr I've had. The first 2 worked really well and were upgraded just to increase capacity. On the good side the Aura allows up to 4 channels to be recorded at once. But that's about it. It has access to loads of apps which I never use as I have a smart TV.
You can't create folders for recordings as I could with the first 2. That was really useful as I had folders for films, music, kids shows and more.
But by far the worst problem is that if I pause live TV for a while and then restart it ALWAYS jumps back to the earliest point. I will then fast forward to the point in the programme I want to watch, press play and again it will flip back to the start. It does the same thing without me doing anything when it starts a recording, whether I'm watching a recording or live TV. Absolutely infuriating. The only solutions offered are to check for software updates or switch it off at the main socket for a while, but neither works. Another option is to factory reset but that would wipe all recordings.
Humax seem to have really messed up with the Aura and my recommendation is DO NOT BUY.

Fast delivery on an excellent piece of equipment.

The instructions for setting up were none existent. An illustrated manual would have been more helpful.

Fabulous customer service. Have a Humax Freesat box which I am really happy with. Had a couple of issues over the years, not the fault of Humax but they have always been extremely helpful.
