Scammers, absolutely horrific, avoid at all cost

When I picked it up the key fob didn't work (we had to go out of our way to return it and get it fixed which used quite a bit of petrol) and there were a few minor scratches and stains that were not recorded, no-one came with me to look around the vehicle to verify these so I sent the pictures as soon as we noticed them, with a comment about the key fob.
This morning I returned the vehicle and was confronted with a very rude young man who proceeded to tell me that the petrol gauge was one section shorter than when I picked it up (according to his photograph). He then said I could put more petrol in or pay €18 off my €200 deposit.
I didn't agree with him and asked why this wasn't made clear at the beginning of the rental period. I then went to the petrol station and put another €10 of petrol in. Upon my return he checked again and deducted €18 off the deposit without further explanation, like I was a naughty school boy.
I have owned cars for many years and rented from companies all over the world and have never been treated so rudely before. When asking a modern petrol gauge to measure between the digital sections it is very inaccurate. You can sometimes even fill the tank up and it still won't show as full.
The policy everywhere else when renting is full or empty out, full or empty back not a random photograph of a petrol gauge somewhere in-between which is not even shown to the client before leaving with the vehicle.
All this was very distressing and embarrassing when conducted in front of a room of queuing customers and all the employee does is shrug his shoulders and say "I told you".
The matter was very badly handled and a breach of car rental contract.
Please don't risk your head earned money with these cowboys. Take lots of photographs as soon as you get the vehicle and don't forget to take one of the petrol gauge. They will use the slightest excuse to fleece your deposit from you.
If they are that short of money why don't they do what all businesses do, increase prices while maintaining good customer service.

I stronly reccomend not to use Turbo rent as they do not turn back the deposit. When I delivery the car, they told me that the refund of the deposit would have been sent in few days, but after a week they do not send back the deposit. I call them and told me that the car was damaged (i had full insurance) and for this reason the deposit was retained by them. I kindly asked them evidence of the damage but they reply that any photos or videos are their property.
Long story short, they keep the refund because of a damage that they do not want to show me.
For this reason, I advice you to avoid using Tuborent.

Wij hebben een goede ervaring gehad met Turbo verhuurbedrijf en herkennen ons niet in de slechte reviews. We hebben via het hotel gevraagd welk bedrijf ze aanraadde en zij werken samen met oa Turbo. Eerst geappt met ze en we kregen heel snel een goed antwoord. De volgende dag was het zo geregeld, we werden snel geholpen en kregen een nette auto mee. Geen gedoe en via de registratie van het hotel hoefden we bij hun ook geen paspoort/cc te geven. Echt superfijn en snel alles voor elkaar. Wij huurden de auto bij in Playa D’ en Bossa.

Zeer vriendelijke mensen. Geen kleine letters. Goeie auto. Op tijd gehaald en alles werd goed uitgelegd aan ons. Zeker een aanrader als je in es Canar bent. Thanks

Don't do it. It's a SCAM! Guys, honestly. Don't rent here!!

The service provided was exceptional. Not only were the prices lower than those of the competitors, but they also accommodated our request to pay the deposit in cash or debit card since we did not have a credit card. We rented a Fiat Panda, which was in impeccable condition and very clean. Additionally, they offered us a complimentary transfer to and from the airport.

We rented a car on St. Barths in November. We paid $800 for the insurance. We had a scratch (like everyone else) and they said it cost 782 to fix. They put it through to insurance but also billed us the $782 on our credit card and then told us we would have to work with our credit card company to get the $782 credited to our card. Our credit card doesn't work like that and they will not give us a credit. Now we are not only out $800 for the insurance but also $782. Turbe will not call me back on this or answer my emails.

Waarschuwing voor dit bedrijf, dit zijn oplichters. Ze hebben mijn partner met kind bewust een voertuig meegegeven die onder de kap van slechte conditie was en daarmee bewust risico hebben genomen dat ze een zwaar ongeluk zouden krijgen. Bij het waarnemen van het gebrek is het voertuig geruild, echter zijn de volledige kosten op ons verhaald, ondanks dat we de uitgebreide verzekering hadden genomen. Dit is oplichting en nog erger omdat we hiermee een zwaar ongeluk hadden krijgen. De reactie van het bedrijf: The company remains firm in their decision and has nothing further to add on this issue.

Niemand houdt dit bedrijf tegen, maar trek je eigen conclusies na het lezen van dit en vele andere berichten. Ik vermoed dat de positieve berichten nep zijn, gezien de manier waarop dit bedrijf handelt.

Extra toevoeging op het verhaal: Ons voortuig dat we gereserveerd hadden was ook niet aanwezig waardoor we verplicht een andere voertuig moesten accepteren. Als we dit niet deden waren we ons geld kwijt.

Avoid this company at all costs!
They said that we had damaged the drivers door lock, when we hadn’t even used it, as the car had remote central locking. They charged me 390 euros for the apparent ‘repair’. I should have read the very similar reviews on this site before booking! Absolute con artists!

Goede ervaring gehad met deze organisatie. Ik twijfelde om hier te boeken vanwege de weinig (goede) reviews, maar uiteindelijk totaal geen problemen gehad! Nette auto, nieuw en goed geholpen. Wij huurden de auto bij A Turbo in Playa D’ en Bossa.

Scammers! So dishonest! Promised us a full deposit refund when we returned the car in perfect condition, only to charge us €500 on the CC when we returned to the UK. They claimed the interior was wet, which was an impossibility!

Also we had to change the first car because there was no tire tread. One completely bald tyre. Death trap! They made zero fuss, offering us one of 5 alternatives instantly, suggesting they knew it was dodgy (and also that they would imminently stitch us up anyway).
