I really hope some people read this and that they don't get a loan with this company. There are a lot of companies like this nowadays for people with bad credit but they get around payday loan laws by not claiming they are a payday loan company. They however charge fees that are far in excess of payday loan fees, especially if you miss payments.

I took out a loan from this company close to a year ago and experienced financial hardship for several months and could not make payments.

As it turns out I was charged $780 in NSF fees on a $300 loan. I reached out to them to start making payments and asked if they could waive some of NSF fees after some good faith payments have been made. They said they would consider it after some on-time consistent payments have been made. Seems reasonable.

After three months of $50 bi-weekly payments to a total of $300 in payments, I reached out hoping for maybe a rebate of $100. They then change their tune and tell me that they only waive fees once all the payments have been made. I told them that is inconsistent with their previous email and all they did was repeat their policy. I told them how I found it to be misleading and inconsistent hoping for at the very least and apology and all they did was repeat the fact that they would only offer a rebate at the end of the loan. No apology. No adjustments. No offer to ask a month or two later. Nothing. They also could tell I was a bit frustrated as I had expressed this was unfair how it was different than what they told me months earlier, because they then went on to add that my tone and communication would be considered factors in determining the amount of the rebate. Seems kind of manipulative. I told them that anyone would feel frustrated over being told that they would consider waiving some fees several months earlier only to be told something different now.

So, for a $300 loan I'm on the hook for a total of $1,250.

Until something happens....
They do not worse with debt consolidation companies.
Payment arrangements were made and I was told an email would be sent with a schedule.
I told them I didn't want a reduction that I would pay the few hundred back as that is what I borrowed.
Once, again, the arrangement email was not received. I did not make the payment.
The only emails that come through are the ones stating I owe money.
And if you are on your disabled son's account so you can speak on their behalf, they will take money from their ODSP payments to repay your money, as it is your "secondary account".
Despite advising them numerous times that this is ODSP money and no transactions of mine are on that account.
They won't accept ODSP applications but they will take the money anyways.
Complaints have been filed and we have now involved the lawyer.
If it sounds too good to be true it likely is.
