Customer service was excellent
Customer service was excellent. I ordered two purses and one came in the wrong color. When I showed Customer Service photos, they immediately sent out the correct color at no additional charge leaving me with a total of three purses after I purchased two. Very easy to do business with this company.

Stinky with a rubbery feel
The bag is cute but has that distinct, chemical smell to it that took days to go away. Also the leather has a rubbery feel to it and is stretchy. I wish it didn’t feel that way.

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We really appreciate it. That initial smell can sometimes occur because the bag is freshly treated and sealed for international shipping, but it always fades once aired out.
As for the texture, the leather we use is top-layer cowhide that’s been treated to remove imperfections and give it that smooth, flexible finish. It can feel slightly rubbery at first, but softens beautifully with use.
We’ll make sure to share your note with our production team so every detail keeps improving. 💛
Made the wrong a quick right!
I ordered a couple of bags from this site. I got the bags but not in perfect condition. one was missing a key ring holder that really is a big deal, I asked for the key ring to be sent to me, but was informed that the leather to make the bag was sold out, so they couldn't send me the missing key ring. the leather on this black bag doesn't feel like a great quality leather either. However, the leather on my other bag does feel like good quality leather. Both bags had a bunch of loose stitching that simply should have been trimmed in the quality control process. However, they made it right by letting me choose another bag and letting me keep the one that was missing parts for free. QA is a bit lacking obviously, but they made it worth the order at the end.

Not leather!
Regardless of your arguments to the contrary, this item was NOT leather! To state that the overpowering chemical/rubber smell is 'the leather fermenting in transit' is ludicrous. Your returns process is laborious and unreliable. Your promise of instant refund is untrue. Your claim that you could not refund due to issues on the account is odd in that it has only occurred with yourselves and no other company. Your claim that you informed me that you were unable to refund is an absolute lie. You did most definitely not do this. I have every email you have sent me. To cap it all I have now received excess charges on my account as the refund was not made and paypal inform me that you will not address the issue until January. Avoid this company like the plague! There is nothing about this to be constructive about!

Unfortunately, we recently faced temporary restrictions with some payment providers (including PayPal) due to the type of luxury-inspired products we sell. This caused delays in issuing refunds, which we communicated to you. Your order has now been fully refunded, and those restrictions have been resolved.
Regarding your claim that the bag is not leather, we want to reassure you that all our bags are made from genuine leather, and we have laboratory certifications to prove this. The only non-leather material used is the lining, which, for some styles is made from high-quality vegan leather. This sometimes causes a slight odor when the bag is first opened, which fades with use.
We regret the inconvenience caused and are working hard to ensure that future orders and refunds are handled more quickly and smoothly.

My only disappointment about the bags i bought is that the straps are too short gir cross body so I had to purchase new straps otherwise they are a very nice product. All as described, well made in genuine leather and they arrived in excellent condition despite poor packaging. The bags don't hold much but that's only to be expected due to their small size. A better dust bag would have been lovely however all in all they are perfect for a night out or special occasion. I am happy with my purchase.

1. What “top-grain” really means.
Top-grain leather is made from the uppermost layer of the hide. To give it a smoother, more uniform finish, the surface is lightly sanded and then treated with a protective coating. That coating can feel “plasticky” to the touch, but it protects the leather from scratches and stains and is standard in high-end handbags.
2. Why simple tests can mislead.
Internet tips such as holding a lighter to the material or judging by smell aren’t reliable once leather has been professionally finished. Modern tanning and finishing processes (polyurethane coatings, pigments, or aniline dyes) change both the surface texture and scent, so genuine cowhide can sometimes be mistaken for synthetic material.
3. How to verify authenticity.
Look at the back (suede) side: Real cowhide will always show natural fiber structure, not a smooth woven fabric.
Check the grain pattern: Genuine leather has subtle, non-repeating pores and wrinkles.
Consult a professional: A local cobbler or leather-goods repair shop can confirm the hide type in minutes.
All Trendiesty bags advertised as leather are crafted from genuine cowhide—never PU or PVC imitations. We source both top-grain and “double-layer” (bonded top-plus-split) hides, which are clearly described in each product listing.

I bought the Balenciaga Rodeo in November. By May, the clasp had completely come away from the bag making it unwearable. This company says it is general wear and tear and won’t replace or refund. Be wary! I don’t believe that 6 months is a reasonable life for a bag. Do you? I wish I had spent a bit more and bought from a reputable company.
