Great 2 women guides, equipment well maintained, ride options flexible, variety of activities stimulating

The booking process was easy, the locations amazing and the seamless transport from one location to another was amazing. Our guides were wonderful, witty and knowledgeable.

Trek Travel’s Santa Barbara biking tour was exceptional, and the guides were the highlight! Our two guides, Anthony and MJ, were absolutely fantastic — warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. They made every ride feel adventurous, kept the group safely on the route, shared great local stories, and provided personalized assistance when needed. Even during the social events, their high-energy and fun commentary elevated the whole experience. 5 stars!

I enjoyed the guides (Marie and Tomas) a great deal as their enthusiasm and knowledge made the trip more fun. The routes were a bit steeper than I anticipated and while the length was fine, I sometimes felt uneasy about biking up and down steep, twisting roads as cars zoomed by. The lodging in Matera was unique but one night would have been enough.

Trek Travel is the best when it comes to active vacations. They have found the best of each location (culture, food, entertainment, sights) and mixed that all in with amazing cycling routes to create just such a memorable experience. From the outstanding customer service leading up to the trip and the fantastic guides that go out of their way for the guests, it makes for a vacation of a lifetime. We’ve done two and already planning a few more locations!

Portugal is a beautiful country. The rides were great.
Hilly & challenging. Our guides Ulle and Pablo were terrific. Friendly, skilled & knowledgeable about Portugal and the area. Hotel was amazing. All marble.
Pool area terrific. Food was excellent, especially the private dinner at the Place. The activities were outstanding, we thoroughly enjoyed them.

Great biking on awesome bikes. Our hotels were excellent and we ate amazing food. Our guides, Rob and Jordan, were exceptional. They anticipated our every need. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful trip this was!

It may be a bit unfair to rate this trip in Santa Barbara as it only lasted about 30 minutes before I had an accident that caused a broken shoulder and pelvis, surgery, and weeks of rehabilitation. There was no follow up as to my accident from our guides or from Trek Travel other than limited help transporting my wife to the hospital. There was no offer of any fee adjustment to the cost of the trip. I guess my emotions left me feeling somewhat abandoned by a terrible accident instead of feeling any support from Trek.

The support staff were amazing and went out of their way to make the experience memorable and addressed any concerns we had.

Wonderful support, knowledgeable, friendly and went above and beyond to create great experiences. Always willing to share a snack, a tweak to the bike, and the encouragement that I’m not a terrible cyclist as I struggled up the beautiful hills. Take the trip - enjoyed every moment.

Our guides were exceptional. Not only were they good at the biking, they were wonderful and caring people. They went above and beyond to insure all of our needs were met.
