I work with horses and dogs in Germany. I am not a vet. When something belongs to a vet, I say so. I lose the appointment. Then I plant a tree for it. I have done that every month since April 2023. I wanted to turn that into a planting habit here. It is an odd one. Nobody plants trees for a phone call that turned out to be nothing. There was no template for it, and I expected a form letter back. Instead someone read it. He asked what I actually meant. He put my own words on the page and added my photo. Four mails, four answers, same person. Then I found the thing I did not know existed. A seed. You cannot buy it. It sits there and only becomes a tree if other people water it, one drop each, and one person is never enough. That is unusual for a paid platform. Most of them sell you the outcome. This one sold me something that might not work. Mine worked. Strangers watered it. Today someone I had never met planted their own tree under the same tag and wrote why: they were not sure, they called the vet anyway, it was nothing. That sentence is the whole point, and it did not come from me. I did not get a badge here. I got somewhere to put the trees, and other people found it.

I've looked at a lot of tree-planting projects, and they are all good in their own way. Tree-nation stands out because it provides comprehensive information in its massive, content-rich knowledge base about the organization itself, its working methods, project verification, and how their website works. I haven't seen such an extensive database in any other project that answers almost every question that might come up.

But the site also has a social network! A person plants a "seed," people help water it with "likes," and the site ultimately plants a real tree! You can chat with people in the comments, write your own posts, and you have your own profile where people can subscribe to your updates. In your profile, you also get to see your CO2 statistics, plus where and how many trees you've planted... Man, it's just such a cool concept!

Usually, charity projects just have a "donate" button and not a lot of details. "Trust me bro." But here, so much is explained, and that is exactly how it should be, because a person wants and needs to know how their money will be used and whether the project is even worth trusting.

In short, even if you just want to plant a tree "for fun" in a location where it will be really useful, you can do it on Tree-nation, and you might actually enjoy the process. I'd say just give it a try and catch the vibe for yourself, like with any experience, really. Props to the UI and web designers!

Tree-Nation propose des solutions simples, concrètes et réellement orientées vers un impact environnemental positif. J’ai particulièrement trouvé intéressant le principe de planter un arbre pour chaque article vendu, avec un modèle économique qui reste, selon moi, juste et cohérent.

Je ferme malheureusement mon compte suite à une cessation d’activité, mais je tiens à souligner l’importance de soutenir et de valoriser ce type de projets et d’entreprises, qui contribuent activement à des actions durables.

Great initiative. I've been planting trees here individually for years. In addition, in the company where I work, in the onboarding gamification application, participants receive virtual trees as a reward. These can then be exchanged for planting real trees. We use trees from TreeNation for this, and we plant about 1,000 trees a year.

Tree Nation allow you to sponsor trees for projects around the world where new trees are needed most and you can also plant seeds for free if you visit the site everyday and contribute by using virtual water to water other people’s seeds. When I have had problems with the site not working as it should these have been resolved quickly by the online support.

Tree Nation is an initiative to get everyone involved in the tree planting projects around the world. The more trees you plant, it support by "watering" the more your carbon footprint is offset. As someone who can do very little to offset my footprint I was really happy when I found Tree Nation. I've been watering daily for a couple of years now (I think), and often buy friends trees for birthdays and Christmas, because it's more valuable than just a card. So far everyone I've bought for has been impressed. Hopefully they've gone on to use the site, too. The one sad thing I've found, though, is that there are not many British people using the site. I don't know how to improve this situation.

As Marketing Manager at Buisklem, I believe in supporting organisations that are genuinely committed to making the world better. Joining the Tree-Nation reforestation community was a deliberate choice for us as a company. In my experience, there are many organisations in this space that lack transparency, but Tree-Nation stands out for their openness. Every question receives a specific answer, whether it is about the number of trees being planted, how each tree is maintained, or how progress is monitored over time. Reports arrive on a regular basis, including planting certificates, clear explanations of how donations are used, and visual updates from the field. When there are questions about tree survival rates, the involvement of local communities, or project transparency, Pepijn responds with clear facts and is always open for discussion. This approach builds a real partnership rather than a standard transaction. Having a direct line to a person who is genuinely invested in the project makes it easier to trust the outcomes and communicate the value of the collaboration to colleagues and partners.

The decision to support the Mkussu Forest project by donating 3375 trees reflects a commitment to meaningful, lasting change. This contribution goes beyond offsetting our own footprint; it supports reforestation in a way that benefits local communities and the wider environment. Choosing a project with such visible results reinforces our belief that sustainability is about action, not just intention. Seeing the scale of what has been achieved together gives real motivation to continue and build on this foundation.

Awesome website, it is a great combination between a platform to plant trees and a social network, it is actually a tree community where you can not only plant trees but you can also share posts and share your experience and what you want to say to other users, you can follow others and you can even offer them trees, it's actually an amazing website, if you guys love protecting nature, planting trees and creating bonds with others, it is THE place to be ☺️. Great goals and so needed in this world. Would love to do it myself, but can’t find the time and land to plant the trees. Nice that you can organise others to do so. Stopping the monthly pay was a little hard (user-profile/ongoing-contributions) but I managed to find it.

J'utilise Tree Nation depuis des années pour compenser mes voyages en avion par des plantations d'arbres.
J'apprécie particulièrement :
- pouvoir participer dans la durée à différents projets à travers le monde,
- le suivi des projets dans la durée
- et la possibilité d'offrir ces plantations.
