The signage on their display board next to the payment machine is very ambiguous. This is off Gorleston High Street in Norfolk behind Weatherspoons.
A local person saw me studying the signage and informed me that the first hour was free and that I didn't need to pay the £1.80.
As we were due to stay over the hour I went back WITHIN the first hour and bought a ticket for another hour, however the machine printed a ticket saying that I was paid up to 13:32, it was 11:32", I didn't question it as I thought the machine must be correct.
11 days later I received a PCN for £100 reducing to £60 if paid within 14 days, the usual ploy. I F@cking hate the parking companies and if it wasn't for SOME recent regulation no doubt they would try for more. I appealed my innocence, and just got a standard reply. On this particular parking site they must make more from fines than the car park!! I bet the CEO and shareholders must be rubbing their hands in glee!! I wouldn't mind so much if the fines went into something good like police fines instead of making money for these thieving scum bags!!!
When we all get our cars confiscated by the great RESET, at least this thieving lot will be out of business, but what do they care they have already made their fortunes.

another Isca Place rip off!! My son paid a days parking to RingGo which I now see is a frequent mistake here, he went out twice & returned so 3 PCN! a total con!!!

Just received a parking notice on return from holiday relating to 25/06/23 In my haste I paid the £60 not realising I could appeal first! I paid the correct fee at the time (I’m sure their records will show this) as you have to enter your reg number to pay. Absolutely disgusting tactics, I use this car park (Gorleston on sea) every couple of months to meet with friends. I am an honest person and would never park unlawfully. Having read the previous
reviews, this company are raking in money unlawfully. I would urge everyone to be very careful using these types of car parks, they need reporting and from what I have read they can threaten what they like but the PCN is not worth the paper it’s written on!! Bad mistake of n my behalf, needless to say I won’t be parking there again!!!!

Money making scams these company's how the government let's them get away with robbing people. Make it hard as they can to pay for parking. I thought I'd paid. then when they issue a fine that's about 10times cost of there parking it's super easy to pay

Total Car parks Ltd run the car park at Berkshire hospital. We were religious with the car park process. We were registered in the car park every single day whilst we had to be there.
3 months later out of the blue, we receave 'one' letter, a threatening letter, from a bailiff company saying that we owed 200 quid, and it had gone past any option of appeal, and that if the debt wasn't paid immediately, they would attend at our address to retrieve goods to the amount of the debt.
We contacted the hospital, and the lady there (who even said to us, that she has to contend with issues caused by Total Car Parks Ltd nearly every week) contacted them, and they had the absolute cheek to lie and tell her that they had sent letters, and that our excuse was one people regularly use when they recieve letter from bailiffs lol the cheak (whilst them knowing full well that they were lying).

I was so enraged with their lie, that I contacted the postal service, and i made a 'Subject Access Request' (SAR) for the correspondence they claimed to have sent to us prior to us recieving that one letter, and as a result, the SAR confirmed 'factually' that they (Total Car Parks Ltd) indeed had 'NEVER' sent any other correspondence to us.
So after proving them to be currupt liars, we were then helped by the lady who works at Berkshire Hospital to quash the fictitious fine/debt.

They are crooks, of the lowest kind.
They lie, and are dishonest.
We did not receive any other letter prior to the bailiffs letter, they claimed that they had sent them, and that we were lying, we proved otherwise, beyond any doubt that they had lied. They then made some cock and bull excuse up, that didn't even make sense, to defend their bad conduct, and made themselves look even bigger fools.

You do not have to pay these private car park companies, especially crooks like Total Car Parks. The only car parks you have to pay fines for are the council run ones.

Do not be scared into paying these crooks, they will pass you on to debt recovery agents without any fore warning or prior letters, and then they will lie and claim to have sent other correspondence.

These companies dont know how to make an honest living, so they scam people.

They were never going to scam any of our money, they just didn't know it at the time. Now do your walk of shame Total Car Parks Ltd, you tried to play us, and you got played, and owned.

That's what you get for your blatant lies, and scamming.

It's also important to note all the other reviews on here, all negative, funny that eh.

I went to Slade Streetcar Park Ipswich.
There is no means of paying. Nothing worked.
So I left and found another car park 200 yards away.
They sent me a penalty notice but I am not paying this and I'm going to court.
I believe it to be deliberate.
These people should be behind bars and I will not give up until they are. I have spoken to the Police but in the first instance I have reported this to Trading Standards.
They said that "There seems to have been a serious breach of law".
When this is all over I have every intention of meeting their MD. I will enjoy that.

Visiting West Berkshire Community Hospital for an x-ray for a ruptured tendon which meant walking was difficult in the pouring rain, parked for just over an hour for which parking charge would have been £1. Overlooked payment of the £1 and Total Car Parks Ltd impose a fine of £100.
Clearly this is where they seek to make unwarranted profits - highly unethical and disgusting behaviour by a company without any ethical or moral compass.

If there was an option for 0 I would have given that! My 17 year old daughter parked in Isca car park in Exeter and googled her location and paid via an app, what she didn't realise is that the car park is owned by two different companies so one level is premier parking solutions and the other Total car parks.. she parked there to go to college on 6 occasions in two weeks and then we received 6 parking fines of which we appealed as she had paid for parking and had receipts to prove it. Then after a little research it became apparent this dreadful situation where one car park is owned by two companies. To cut a long story short, they rejected the appeal, they take nothing into consideration, they don't answer the phone and have instructed debt collectors to recover 1100.00 in fines from my 17 year old daughter. It shoudn't be allowed they are con artists!!!!!

Total scammers. They operate the Isca car park in Exeter along side ringo but don’t advertise this. After using the ringo app to locate this car park and then pay I’ve now been issued a £100 fine by this company! I’ve appealed which is when I was told that different levels are run by diffeeent companies! I have never heard of this in my 53 years. No signage makes this clear at all. Having researched the matter I can see hundreds of other people have had the same experience and yet signage has not been improved to make customers aware of this so they are raking it in. I paid my parking and still got fined! Very poor company, making money off people in such an underhand way. I’ll be taking this up with trading standards

Absolutely disgusting service from this company. When I parked my car I found the instructions on the parking meter confusing. To be sure that I had completed the transaction correctly I sent a text with my car reg. I was charged £5 for parking ( which was more than advertised amount ! ). I then received a £100 parking charge. I appealed with transaction confirmation from them , my text and copy of bank charge. Disgusting response saying that I had incorrectly entered details of parking and must pay £20 towards their admin costs ( as a gesture of goodwill! ). Appealed again and received a rude and illogical response threatening that I will need to pay full £100 if I do not pay £20 . I do not have time to try and resolve ethically and so I have reluctantly paid. However I am really upset about being ripped off and treated with complete disdain. This company should be investigated and closed down.

Offering discount if paid within 7 days of issue (24th Feb) is at best having a laugh, and at worst a cynical con, if the notice will not arrive until over a week later (4 March)!!!

Highly unethical company. I paid for a parking ticket though accidentally entered the wrong registration number. Probably because I was taking my 4 year old to a traumatic hospital appointment.

Total Car Parks insisted on still charging me a penalty (albeit reduced) when I appealed their fine. Despite me providing clear evidence that I had paid for my parking.

Disgusting behaviour.

Absolutley disgusting service, even though we paid for a parking session for 24hours and texted them they took payment, and they sent us parking fine. We then appealed and sent proofs of payments and they said they would reduce the fine from £60 to £20 as an admin charge as they are saying we missed a step in the system in regards to the car registration, even though we have clear evidence and sent them texts with our car reg and they confirmed the parking session, by text and advised our session was set up successfully. We sent receipts and screenshots. I think this company relies on people to just pay up and people who appeal they try to get something out of them! Will never park in a Total Car Parks Limited again.
They are trying to say that although we had a confirmation text back saying our parking is valid and we texted our car registration, we should have waited for a second SMS, we paid for a session and they even had a cheek to send us a picture showing a new account set up with our registration and then an additional account reg underneath stating 8000 they are claiming the payment is for reg 8000 as we missed a step in the registration process.
Any credible organisation would remove the charge out of common customer service and decency.
I called the Watchdog line and they say they have recieved many other complaints for many private car park operators like TCP, so any other reviewers please make sure you report.
You would expect them to goodwill this as its clear we have paid and they have our reg number?!
We paid for 24 hours parking and left after 4 hours!
We decided to pay the £20 fine to avoid a bad credit rating however awful to treat customers in this way, avoid avoid avoid! After paying the fee and sending them my review they sent me a very rude email back, which is shocking! I feel sorry for customers they are ripping of with this ineffectual registration system, who are struggling with the cost of living crisis, these companies need to be stopped and held accountable.
