Very happy to have found this company. I find the braided apple watch straps far more comfortable to wear then normal straps. But having bought ones on line before, they are usually a bit thick so not very comfortable wearing all day, they fray quickly or their colour options are very limited . These straps are great quality at a great price . They are very well made, very comfortable to wear and a great set of colours to choose from. My first order, I had not measured my wrist well enough and the straps were a little big. Emailing Jonathan to explain, he was extremely helpful, sorted out a further mistake I had made on my re-order, and I was refunded very quickly once he had received the straps back. I would highly recommend The Thrifty Gentleman and will continue to purchase more straps in the future. Thank you

Ordered a NATO strap from The Thrifty…
Ordered a NATO strap from The Thrifty Gentleman and unfortunately had two separate strap failures in succession on the same watch.
To be fair, communication from Jonathan was always polite and professional throughout, but the product itself left me with very little confidence. After the second failure I decided to stop troubleshooting and purchase an alternative strap elsewhere amd unfortunately wasn't offered a refund. I expected better. I certainly wont be using Thrifty gentleman again.
For a basic watch strap, I simply expected better durability and reliability than this.
Disappointing overall experience.

Apple Watch Braided Loop Strap
I have just purchased 4 braided watch straps for my Apple Watch 10 in XS size. I have very small wrists and it had been a challenge to find braided loop straps that fit comfortably (they are usually too big). This is the first time the size is perfect. The material is soft, comfortable and great quality. All that for an affordable price. Highly recommended.

Quick delivery. I bought a watch strap. Oddly, the anufacturer who the strap together put the buckle on the wrong way around. Which meant fiddling with a pin and turning it around.

Good Quality and price.
A good quality strap that doesn't attract dust and is comfortable to wear. Fast delivery and bought at a good sale price.
Summer is here and I bought this to wear with a white dial Seiko that has a grey/ black bezel. It compliments the watch perfectly.

The customer service was excellent. I thought I'd made an error when ordering, Johnathan responded quickly, diligently and effectively to ensure I had no problems getting the items I wanted.

Great dive watch strap that nobody else had…
Not really one to take to review sites but I’m super impressed with this company I’d never heard of until now. I thought my dive computer (watch) was dead an buried as the strap had degraded in salt water and lots of sun over the years. It’s not a model/make readily available and so no manufacturer spares out there any more. Then up popped TG with a generic 24mm strap and a guide how to measure. 2 days later, it’s here, it’s great and I can use the old but trusty dive computer on our latest trip - yay!

Get it from aliexpress instead
I bought a NATO watch strap and was initially pleased with it when it arrived, however I later spotted an identical version on aliexpress for much cheaper, and ordered that one as well out of curiosity. Suffice to say that the two are identical, and you’d be much better off getting it straight from aliexpress than here.

Firstly, and maybe this is my "glass half full" view I'll focus on the positive - actually, despite a 1 star rating (the lowest option available!) you said you were pleased with the strap - so.. good news there.
Addressing the other point, we do indeed work with a number of manufacturers so it is not inconceivable that a similar watch strap would be available on other platforms by other sellers.
You also left a review for us on our website including an image and although I fully agree the colour of the strap looks very similar (if not the same) there also seem to be subtle differences in the style of the hardware (keepers and buckle - ours looking slightly rounder).
However, I also understand your frustration in buying something from us and then finding something similar elsewhere that was cheaper. I suppose it is similar to any other type of fashion item, for example trainers, buying it from one company and then realising you might have been able to purchase it cheaper elsewhere. I fully understand that it can be frustrating and disappointing.
What I'll say is we spend a lot of time working with our manufacturers to identify the best watch straps that fit with our business - great quality straps at great prices. We're always open to working with manufacturers if the straps they produce are up to the quality we expect our customers to want. Fortunately, I don't think the quality of the strap was an issue, based on your review.
Additionally all watch straps are rigorously checked (and stored and dispatched) here in the UK to make sure that only the best quality straps are sent out to our customers. I certainly can't speak specifically about other companies but quality control is something we are super hot on and, alongside our focus on customer service and customer experience, is one of the things that makes us who we are and we are super proud of that.
Overall though, we are of course sorry that you were as unhappy as you were. It's certainly not what we would want (nor expect) for our customers.
I hope my detailed response shows how seriously we take all feedback that is received.
