For the last 7 year I have use the tanning shop around the Hammersmith area and after a while I felt disappointed due to the increase in price and didn’t seem to keep my desired colour dispite having 3 14 minute sessions a week. I moved to Harrow 2 years ago and have used this branch here on a regular basis. The beds are well maintained and retubed regularly so a maximum strength in UV is constant week after week. The staff at Harrow are the friendliest bunch of people I have met welcoming you with perl white smile and golden skin is not only a friendly welcome but great advertising for the product you are about to buy. The staff are completely clued up when it comes to tanning advice with a wide range of tanning beds both standup and and lie down. Their products and lotions are not badly priced and you can try a lotion for less than £5 using a sachet before buying a bottle. They have amazing value tanning packages that are easily affordable for everyone with minutes costing as little as 0.85p a minute on some beds. I myself am a blue light card holder and with that is a amazing discount and a package of 100 minutes is a bargain at a price of £66 that alone is enough to keep my rolling back every other day to have 18minutes under the electric beach having a top up and a Power Nap at the same time. I honestly can’t fault the Harrow branch and their team of welcoming team as I can now use the tanning shop again but this time spending less and and gaining a darker and deeper healthy glow once more and I feel and look great. Merlisa is friendly and professional, the booths are always spotlessly clean and she has great product knowledge about the lotions. She is a good saleswoman, she is instinctively helpful in guiding me to buy the right package, gently persuasive. It's a pleasure to see her at the Clapham Junction branch. The other staff are fantastic also. Professional, friendly and welcoming,I just focused on Merlisa because she mostly is there on the times that I visit.

The Wimbledon girls are honestly amazing - I don’t think I have ever had an issue with the beds or rooms - even when very rarely the face lamps have been out on a bed they explain and give options. They are just lovely down to earth girls always take their time to have a little chat and just so help full ! Love them

This place has become a joke. I want a refund for a service I can’t even use properly anymore. I paid for 20-minute sessions, but now the staff only allows 15, sometimes even just 13 minutes – with ridiculous excuses like “we’re too busy” or “our bosses only allow that.” That’s unacceptable.

I arrived early, as they themselves suggested, and still got turned away from using the full time I paid for. On top of that, the staff is rude and treats immigrants disrespectfully. Their attitude is unprofessional and downright arrogant.

I’ve been a loyal customer for years, always buying the most expensive package, and I’ve never had problems like this with the previous team. This is a complete lack of respect for paying customers. Unless something changes fast, I won’t be coming back – and I’ll make sure others know what to expect.

The stand up rooms in the Sutton branch are never fully functional.
Each time I complain, here and directly to the company, they claim they will look into the problem, they claim they have fixed the problem, but it is all lies! They simply don’t care about their customers. They never get their equipment to function correctly. They just type nonsense and lies here and directly to me in emails.
This is possibly the worst and most dishonest company I have ever had dealings with.

I’ve been a regular and loyal customer of The Tanning Shop for years, but unfortunately my recent experience with the Angel branch has left me deeply disappointed, not only because of a technical issue, but because of how poorly it was handled.

During a 10 min session, the lamps didn’t fully work for the first five minutes. I calmly explained this to staff after my session, hoping for a fair solution. Instead of offering a proper resolution, I was asked what I wanted, which made me feel uncomfortable as if I was guilty or exaggerating. I was credited only 4 min, even though the session had clearly been disrupted.

Realising afterwards that this wasn’t a fair solution, I contacted Customer Service and followed up multiple times, but no one got back to me. I then received a very brief and inaccurate email from someone named Georgie (apparently the area manager), who misspelled my name, claimed that the full session had been credited (it hadn’t, I even had to pay extra for a full session at another branch), and never replied again. The whole tone and approach made it clear the goal was to brush it off quickly and move on.

What’s most upsetting is not the minutes — it’s the lack of care and basic customer respect. I’ve always been a reasonable and polite customer, and I wasn’t asking for anything more than what’s fair. But being ignored and made to feel like a problem, rather than someone they value, is unacceptable.

I want to thank the High Street Kensington branch, who were incredibly kind, professional, and helpful in contrast. That’s what customer service should feel like.

I’m leaving this review only after trying multiple times to resolve things privately. I shouldn’t have had to chase this for two weeks with no response. It’s disappointing to be treated this way by a brand I used to trust.

Bad customer service! Despite spending several years attending this salon, there is no loyalty to returning customers. The customer service this year was really bad and even when I complained due to a series of issues they didn’t even gracious me with a response.

Tanning shop reply suggested complaining which I already did and it wasn’t ‘dealt with promptly’ I didn’t even get a response apart from the automated ‘we have received your message’

I visited the tanning shop at the Angel opposite the business design centre.The two ladies who greeted me Roxy and Jody were informative, thorough and helpful. The tanning booth itself was clean with paper tissue, wet wipes, and eye shields I found it to be a very good experience and would wholly recommend it. Christine

I had a very disappointing experience with the tanning shop in Notting Hill regarding a job interview. I was contacted last Friday and told to come in for an interview on Monday at 12PM. I didn’t receive a confirmation email, so I called back the same day to confirm the details and gave them my name and number.

On Monday morning, I decided to call again around 10AM to double-check everything — only to be told that the interview had been cancelled due to something going wrong at the shop. While I understand that situations come up, it was completely unprofessional that no one contacted me to cancel or reschedule. I had to chase them just to get an update.

Today (Tuesday), I followed up again and had to call the shop four times before someone finally picked up. When I gave my name, the staff member — who I believe was the store manager — was extremely aggressive, dismissive, and showed zero understanding of the poor communication that had taken place. Instead of acknowledging the issue or apologizing, she was rude and defensive, and ultimately told me I wouldn’t be offered the job for reasons that didn’t make any sense.

I found the whole experience frustrating and deeply unprofessional. If this is how they treat candidates — with no courtesy, no structure, and a complete lack of communication — I can only imagine how they run the rest of the business. I would not recommend applying here.

Very disappointed with the Bradley Stoke store near Bristol. Not clean/hygienic and the music is far too loud (probably to keep the seemingly underage teenage customers happy?!). Think one of the staff was called Shell (possibly Shelly?) as I heard someone shout her. She seemed particularly ignorant, couldn’t even be bothered to respond when I said good afternoon on the way in - there’s a greeting for you - probably didn’t hear me over the banging music. This has put me off this store and brand in general not what I’d expected.

I definitely would recommend the Brentford one, I do have one closer to home but this one is amazing. The staff are great and it’s clean, friendly and the tanning beds works perfectly for a perfect tan. The manager and her staff are so friendly and welcoming I wouldn’t go anywhere else now

Natasha is back yippee, I came into the High Wycombe shop this morning and the place smelt and looked amazing. So clean and welcoming. Very relaxing experience just how it should be. Look forward to going back in.

This is to send a huge thank you to Jas, Caroline and Chloe at the Bedford store. Me and my husband had a problem following the purchase of additional minutes packages, all 3 lovely ladies managed to resolve the issue within 24 hours, they are always cheerful and bubbly and make going into the salon an enjoyable experience.

I recently visited Hednesford Branch after starting again for the summer. I had the pleasure of meeting Lily.. and she couldn’t have been more helpful. Due to not using the beds for a while, I had lost my colour and also forgotten how to use bits of the lay down bed.. Lily was more than happy to explain the bed to me again and the different settings and how to rebuild my tan up again. We also had a lovely discussion about the options of lotions that are available in the branch to buy and which would be most suitable for my skin. I cannot thank Lily enough for her service that evening, she was informative, friendly and got me on my bed on time.. it was a great welcome back to Hednesford store and I’d recommend for anyone to give it a try!
