Good communication, fast delivery and obviously great product

Rude and aggressive when I had to ask about tracking and who the courier was. I got the Terms and Conditions brusquely thrown at me like I was being totally unreasonable. They don't include this information by default. So I didn't know when to the order was likely to arrive. When I pointed out that they were being unnecessarily short and aggressive they told me to stop being rude to them. Me! The customer! I was simply asking for information you'd expect to be provided as basic procedure. The last thing you expect is then to be dressed down!!! I will never be shopping with them ever again and I would advise you do to the same. You don't need this nonsense when you just make an order. This could all have been avoided had they simply taken the trouble to be nice and treat me the way you'd expect to be treated as a valued customer.

When they saw that I'd given them a 1 star review they've blocked me from their website. I hardly think that's good business practice.

Their emails to me escalated to the point I told them to cancel the order. I shouldn't have been left guessing when the order had actually gone in the post. A lot of companies mark an order as despatched when it's still in their warehouse because they contacted the courier.

An excessive amount of tape is used on the box, the polystyrene and around the bubble rap holding the bags, it's impossible to open the bubble rap around the shrimp bags without piercing the bag with the shrimp in it resulting in a jet of water in your face like you'd severed an artery. Totally over the top and really not helpful at all. This company have only been going a year and I can't see them making it to two.

The mark of a good company is not what they do when everything goes well but what they do when it doesn't. This company can't even be polite when you ask for information you expect not to have to ask for in the first place. Then to add insult to injury they tell you off for being annoyed at them being rude! Utterly appalling service.

They flagged my review for defamatory comments. Well, it's a bad review, what do they expect? HOW DARE they flag my review for defamatory comments! I might say it makes their protestations about how good all their other reviews are a little questionable!

Positive reviews is neither here nor there. It's me that they were curt with, it's me that they told off because I was annoyed at their brusqueness! It's me giving my feedback. That they don't like my feedback is frankly none of my concern. They earned this 1 star.
After I gave them a 1 star review and had finished with dealing with their emails and totally written them off. They then phoned me TEN times, one after the other after the other. I didn't know who it was because their number was withheld but they then told me they'd tried to phone me. They didn't say why. I can only assume it was to have yet more rants at me. They could have apologised by email if I didn't pick up the first time they phoned. 10 phone calls is just a little scary! When they've got my address it makes you feel are they going to send someone round! Do they really think that is polite? That's Harassment! I had grounds for pressing charges at that point.

I've been invited to submit this review again by Trustpilot now. I don't know why but I am doing so.

Recently placed my first order with the shrimp factory and have not been disappointed.
The service I have received from start to finish has been brilliant.
My healthy little shrimps arrived safe and carefully well packaged and they are still thriving!
Really happy with the service, had a few questions before purchasing that were answered in a prompt, friendly and professional manner!

Well packaged, all alive and healthy and an extra one of each. A little disappointed that they all appear male but I’ll keep my fingers crossed it just me having difficulty sexing them as they’re so young.

I’m delighted with my second purchase from the shrimp factory, my new shrimp arrived exceptionally packaged,in great condition and settled in perfectly. I reached out to the company to see if I could alter my delivery date and they responded very quickly,were super helpful. I’d highly recommend them.

I discussed with the shrimp factory for around 5 weeks before purchasing, they provided helpful and meaningful responses everytime. Upon maturing the tank, I noticed the product I wanted was no longer in stock. I messaged the shrimpfactory and they let me know they were running low, though would be able to fulfill my order. Upon purchasing, I was called out of town for a week to fill in for a colleague at a conference in Asia. I let the shrimpfactory know, and they were able to hold off the order until I had returned. Today I received the shrimp, acclimating them for 8 hours. None died in the process, and none died during shipping.

These guys know what they're doing, they sell high quality shrimp, have the most reliable and helpful customer support, and are so respectful. I honestly cannot fault them.

I recently ordered a DIY group of Orange Eye Blue Dream shrimp from The Shrimp Factory UK, and I’m genuinely impressed. The shrimp arrived healthy, active, and well-packaged — not a single loss in transit, thanks to their live arrival guarantee.

The DIY group consisted of 4 mid-grade males with vibrant orange eyes and 6 high-grade females without orange eyes. The males, while slightly paler, still displayed impressive coloration that exceeded my expectations. The females were especially striking — deep, velvety blue with excellent coverage and intensity, making them the visual anchors of the group.

To my surprise, I also received 2 extra shrimp free of charge — a generous touch that really made the experience feel special. Another thoughtful detail was the inclusion of a net inside the shipping bag, giving the shrimp something to cling to during transit and likely helping reduce stress.
