The team at Retro are all great, super, helpful and fixated on sorting out any issues. They were really quick to reset my choices so that now I’m getting the surprises I always hope for in the third week of the month. All that and Wham bars, too. What’s not to like????

Massive disappointment received my first 3 vinyls one double album had one vinyl completely missing and the album other was so badly scuffed and scratched it was totally unplayable. One of the other vinyls also had a scratch one side running almost the complete length of the record. Definitely not checked the products before putting them in the plastic sleeves and sending them out. Have offered to send additional records out with next months records so will wait and see if they’ll be any better hopefully it was a case of me being unlucky.

I am very new to The Retro Store but so pleased with the service overall! Great Vinyl Subscription service, I love receiving mystery Vinyl each month. Worth every penny. Their Customer Service is fab too. Highly recommended 👍

So far Great!

I've had 5 boxes so far and each has included a really wide and interesting selection of music I didn't think I'd be into but have loved!
Most of the records are in great condition, one or two have had the odd issue but easily cleaned out and playing nicely now.
There's a swap-shop I haven't used yet for anything that you don't like.
Service has been excellent. if there's been delays they've been very honest about it and never anything dramatic.
overall really impressed.

This is absolutely terrible I bought a 6 month subscription and have only received one out of three boxes. I have emailed repeatedly and asked them to call me and sort it out and heard nothing from anyone! I spent a lot of money on this as a present for my brother and it’s starting to look like it’s just a rip off! 😡

I was originally quite disappointed with the records I received as one wasn't from my selected genres, but after receiving them and posting a review I was offered to return them for a full refund.

I also was unable to cancel my subscription through the website which was frustrating, but after contacting them they immediately cancelled it for me.

Overall I am happy with the customer service.

Signed up for a retro games subscription at the start of February. I had a bit of confusion about when I would receive my first box, but it has arrived now so all good. The selection of games was great, a good variety across a number of systems. All good condition, and the games that are boxed also have manuals. Just waiting on my second box now. Had an email this week to advise it will be delayed, but hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Got three games I never normally would have picked out. Great service provided. Highly recommend giving this a go.

Only had the one box so far but I felt of fell short of the mark, I guess musical taste is subjective, and one person's rock is another ones pop, shame therevis no service for returning bum records other than Facebook which is a platform I hardly ever use, would rather there was a return policy where you could swap it for a record from a selection for instance. Will see how the next one goes if it improves I'll keep it up if not I think I shall cancel.

I really look forward to receiving my vinyls every month. They are expertly picked, selecting really top examples of my chosen genre/s.
Beats sifting through boxes and boxes of vinyls in a shop or market. Great fun, would recommend

Only just joined The Retro through recommendation from a friend and was absolutely delighted with my first delivery of vinyl. I look forward to my next delivery and my Saturday night listening to my new records!! Thank you everyone xx

Definitely fits the alternative indie category and I enjoyed the record.

Suzanne Vega - Suzanne Vega

Definitely fits the folk category. And I love Suzanne Vega deeply. Only problem is I already have the exact record. ( Only Suzanne Vega record I have) I put a message on the group on Facebook. I expected Peter to reach out to me with a possible solution. I would have thought that we could maybe do a cheeky swap if he has another Suzanne Vega in stock. Unfortunately there was no response from Peter at all. Just everyone else saying tough luck. Unfortunately I hated the third record. So getting a record that is the same means I paid 30 quid for only 1 record I can use and enjoy. This has caused me to consider ending my subscription. I still have a few days. But will most likely end it.

Richard Rogers - Can't Stop

The average price for this record is 1.49 on discogs. I honestly can't think of any person I have ever met who would like this record. I can see other people in the group who received it are trying to get rid of it. Although Amazon puts it in dance electronic category. To honestly call this electronic is a stretch. It's really r and b singing over keyboards and is a bad representation of Chicago House. And I hate Chicago House. I mean when you consider all the real electronic music you could probably find for cheap. This is a real joke!! It really is for the bin in the back allotment of the record store. And it does make a mockery of the tastes of your subscribers.

One last thing I would like to add. Is I don't understand why there is a lack of 90s rock in the categories. Or differentiation between rock/ indie/alternative/ electronic for each decade. Surely making this distinction will give more people what they really want. Or at least closer to the realm of what they need.

I enjoyed the first box you sent me. It seemed to have value. And I was able to excuse the wild card record. But the value I got out of the last box was quite pithy I'm afraid. Not worth the 30 quid unfortunately.

I'm updating the above review and changing from 2 stars to 4 as I was very pleased with the response from Peter and looking forward to the amends he offered. Also appreciate the personal messages and personal touch.

I've had a nothing but exceptional service from day one. Even through all of this, they have pulled it out of the bag every time. I'm a serious collector of vinyl and I'm loving discovering so much new music. 5 stars all round.

I received my first package a couple of days ago, and the comic books were in great quality. There were 5 completely different comics old and new, and there was a sneaky sweet surprise in the box which added a cherry on top. Great business, great quality. Good job 👍🏻

Loving the selections we’ve received on our vinyl record subscription and the little extras are always a delight! Amazing customer service too, really personable.

Have been using The Retro Store for nearly a year now to build my girlfriends record collection. Am really happy with the choices that we have been given and the little gems that have been included, this month a bonus CD which was great timing as I have recently set up an old CD player to the my stereo in the kitchen.. Love this subscription.

Great gift for someone. Serious nostalgia and feel good factor which everyone needs right now! Anyone who likes comics and nostalgia would love this! Highly recommend!

Exactly what I expected and very pleased with the retro games I received 5/5

Received my first subscription of 3 albums. I’d set up the genres I wanted and they nailed it first order. Looking forward to next month.

Particularly enjoyed being taken back in time with Brothers Johnson and delving into Philip Selway for the first time.

It started out a little rocky, like all good and enduring relationships. Then we found our feet.

I was greeted with my November, December and January boxes all within a matter of days in January 2021. It was truly the Christmas BoJo had promised, but failed to deliver.

I'm working my way through the 10 vinyl received and enjoying every second of it, which is a nice surprise given that it's all based on small morsels of your musical tastes.

There's nowt like it amongst the competition and I'm looking forward to many more boxes to come. Cheers.
