We have used TLP for a number of years for our annual CMP Healthcheck, so when they offered us the opportunity to have our deposits audited, we agreed without hesitation. Submitting the form and uploading the supporting documents was easy. I was confident that our bank balanced with our protected deposits, but I was surprised when we received our risk assessment report to find that we had some possible compliance issues with our data. Without TLP these issues would probably not have come to light as they were from many years ago. Due to this we would recommend every company takes advantage of DepositAudit. It saves your time as TLP run the check and highlight any issues for you to act on if necessary. Our audit has given me a greater insight into our data, and peace of mind that going forward we will remain compliant. Thank you TLP for yet another excellent addition to your reconciliation toolkit.

I returned to The Letting Partnership mainly for their client accounting service after a previous poor experience where HMRC was paid incorrectly and we lost £2,000 that was never recovered. I went back because I needed specialist support with complex client accounting and bulk payments.
After a bank outage in October, landlords were not paid on time and there was no urgency from TLP. I stepped in and paid landlords myself. When reconciliation issues followed, I was told I would need to pay extra by the hour for help, despite already paying for the service. I then paid for external training and have done the accounts myself since October, while still being in contract with TLP. In 4 months I have been contacted 3 times every time I have done the accounts and they balance asking if they are to resume.
Fees had doubled since I rejoined, yet problems were not properly resolved, emails were often ignored, and complaints were either met with empty promises or turned around to make it feel like the fault was mine. I would not recommend the client accounting services to anyone.
I have given one extra star only because their Healthcheck service has been helpful in the past.
The client accounting is a good idea, although when I first complained about all the events and the HMRC saga, I was told by the customer service manager that they were closing my account giving me notice, I couldnt believe this after such a serious incident it was as if I was to blame, I did go on to say that I would still be using the healthcheck in future, her response to this was well remove your trustpilot complaint if youre going to use the healthcheck in future.
In general staff are very friendly but
Overall, the stress and lack of accountability have not been worth it.
Looking at TLPs reviews there are very few that reflect a great service from Client Accounting services most are the Healthcheck and this is a really good part of their bussiness.

We used the 'Deposit Risk Assessment' that The Lettings Partnership offered & it was extremely useful. Although we were confident that our reconciliations were correct (& they were), the report picked up on minor irregularities that will definitely help us with our compliance. I wish I had known to request a trial before committing.
I was only live for three days before I realised it didn’t suit my business model , I raised my concerns immediately, but despite explaining that the platform wasn’t a good fit, I was still required to pay for the full 12-month term.
If you’re unsure whether this service will work for your business, absolutely request a trial period first. Three days was enough for me to realise it wasn’t right—unfortunately, not enough for them to show any flexibility. Make sure you’re confident before committing, because once you sign, you’re in for the full year. There’s no negotiating or empathy for small independent agents 😢

The Lettings Partnership complete Mead Property's Client Money Protection Health Check every year as part of the requirement of membership to ARLA Propertymark. We find the attention to detail and speed they can complete the requirements really assists us. Special thanks to our contact this year, Sue Rayner, who was really helpful in spotting a mistake we had made on the application and swiftly getting to the bottom of it without drama or delay.
