Really great course
Really great course! I have learned lots from it and am loving it so far. I will say sometimes the descriptions for the assignments are slightly confusing, but glad I have access to the Facebook page to get in contact with other peers to help. I overall recommend it if you’re debating!

My Experience as an IDI Student
I really enjoy the Sketchup Advanced videos. They have been extremely helpful in learning Sketchup! I like that they are broken down for step by step. I love how the course helps you learn by doing and working through the program step by step. My tutor gives constructive criticism so I can continue to improve. I really enjoy the courses. I just completed Module 5.

Great info and start to interior design
I have loved the different modules and assignments. I wish the topics went a bit deeper as I find I have some gaps, but overall it’s been good. I did do several of the advanced modules too and some were very helpful such as the ones on floorplans, but I wish there was more info on best products, functionality of spaces (did a separate training on that and it was amazing), ideal details such as counter overhang for bar stools, etc

I have been a student for IDI now for…
I have been a student for IDI now for almost two years. Although the course is a one year program they do offer 3 month extensions to be able to complete which isn't too much compared to other courses. This program was a perfect option for me being that I am working mom and needed something I can do on my own time. The homework is tedious and can take some time therefore I had to extend but they provide you with a lot of knowledge in the field. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone we is looking to get into the field of interior design without quiting their job.

Great program for those looking to work on your own time!
The content of this program has been so fun and interesting to learn. For someone with an already busy life, the work-on-your-own-time has made it all feasible for me. The modules are engaging and a joy to read, and the assignments at the end of each module are challenging, but invigorating to dive into.
My one challenge with the program is that, besides a FB group, there isn't a community to consistently engage with, and for something as creative as interior design, I think it would be very valuable (and validating) to have that.

This course has exceeded my….
This course has exceeded my expectations, every module through 1 to 10 (there are 12 modules and i’ve completed 10 and going on 11) is well written and well constructed with ample information. All the Module topics are explained very clearly that it is easy to understand and has helpful pictures that makes it more fun to study than just reading plain words.
I’ve suggested IDI to many friends and I highly recommend this!

Awesome program all around
I thought this was a great online school! The tutors respond really quickly to both grading assignments and responding to emails. The self-pace is nice so you can easily include it into your busy life. The modules go into great detail each topic and the notes are extremely helpful. All-in-all this has been a great experience!

The Interior Design Institute is a really good online learning course for self motivated and design oriented people who need flexibility while learning.
The Interior Design Institute is a great online course and resource for learning to design with structure and professionalism even when you are on the move as you can schedule your time to learn and work on your assignments as it fits into your busy life. IDI is also very accommodating with timelines and extensions.
I have learnt a lot through the various modules of this course, which can be challenging but if you can think and work independently on your assignments and are design oriented, it is definitely worth your while to pursue. While Tutor involvement is minimal except for grading and their very helpful assessment and excellent feedback on your assignments, the IDI Facebook group is very active, helpful and supportive! The takeaway from this is that what can seem hard and challenging sometimes, only makes you stronger and more independent in your work!
