Good design service, with friendly helpful input, to get your narrow boat designed to your personal preferences.

We arranged for Mark to prepare our new narrowboat plans and technical drawings We were very impressed with not only his technical expertise,but his knowledge of all the practical issues in designing the layout of the boat,which incorporated many ideas and finishing touches that we had never considered.We would fully recommend Mark and 'the fitout pontoon'for anyone looking to design a boat and indeed for any advice needed about the canal way of life

Plans took 5 days to arrive but all on heavy card-very good! More items on the 'appliance' sheet - and all in front on view would be good!

Mark Speakman of the Fit Out Pontoon designed, produced and maintains my web site. He did an excellent job initially and has continued to be conscientiously supportive and pro active with upgrades and maintenance. I have fully appreciated his expertise and professionalism from start to finish in the consultation, design and production stages. He is creative and intuative and I have found it very easy to communicate and develop ideas with him. I have no hesitation in fully recommending The Fit Out Pontoon.

We were referred to the Fitout Pontoon by our boat builders to have the plans for our new boat drawn up, and I have to say we are exceedingly pleased with the quality and detail Mark and Adam have put into them. A very professional service and they listened to, and accommodated our ideas and then changes to create our dream boat, and nothing was too much trouble. If anyone is considering having a boat built or doing a self fitout, having these professional plans made will be invaluable to ensuring a builder makes what you want, or in helping you build your own interior. We intend to commission Mark to draw up the plans for our craft boat when the time comes.

We met Mark a couple of years ago at Crick Boat Show, when he was immediately helpful and gave honest advice (to a couple of amateurs!) about our plans to build a boat - and he struck us then as someone we'd like to work with. We're now two months into a new adventure living on a bespoke widebeam barge as continual cruisers on the canals of London. Our boat has a very unusual (and for us, very stylish!) interior that was turned down by builders all over the country; but Mark stuck with us throughout, creating the plans for our design, finding us partners who'd work with us, project managing the whole process and ultimately using his own team of talented craftsmen to complete the complicated carpentry of the interior. The general world of canal boat building is not customer facing nor is it a welcoming place for the non-initiated, believe me - but Mark is a new breed of boat builder who understands that world, but also gets your passion and gets modern customer service - he's communicative and responsive, a creative and a problem solver, online and IT savvy and, crucially, he can explain all the complicated stuff to idiots like us! We love our boat and would not have moved beyond the dreaming stage without him.

The Fit Out Pontoon have been fantastic i cannot recommend them highly enough.

Mark's proffesional approach knowledge and efficiency made our lifes much simpler.
