Fabulous place to stay. Very high level of luxury, spacious and quiet. A good location for visiting the hustle and bustle of Blackpool and surrounding area. Our sons mobility issues perfectly catered for with equipment and facilities.

Great place to stay with top notch facilities and a great location. The disabled access, wet room, hoist etc were excellent. I couldn't recommend it more.

We’ve just come back from the most magical holiday stay at The Estuary Chalets ( BlackBerry). Elaine was a superb host and the property was ultra modern and spacious….ideal for a wheelchair user. Even better we could bring our dog too. The attention to detail in all aspects of the holiday was faultless. The tranquility of the setting and the views were priceless . Highly recommended in all respects.

As a full time wheelchair user properly accessible properties are hard to find. We stayed in the Bramble, it's spacious, fully accessible and full of all kinds of equipment and gadgets to make things easier during our stay. Elaine was on hand throughout the weeks prior to the stay to ensure we had everything we needed and to answer all of my questions. The house has a lovely view of the estuary from the accessible decking and is a short drive from many places, lytham, fleetwood, knott end and Blackpool. We had a lovely week ❤️

What a fantastic place, we loved everything!!!! We always struggle to find places that we can get in and about easily with a wheelchair, no such problem here!
Everything you could need was there, and the milk and chocolates on arrival was a lovely touch! The videos before were super helpful too for the oven and blinds etc!!
We loved the binoculars to watch the hares and birds. Bed was super comfy and we felt relaxed that our daughter was safe and happy in her bed with sides, she loved the galaxy nightlight!
We will definitely be back again, a hidden gem, well done!!!!

Amazing clean, fresh, modern, spacious accommodation
Great if you have someone in the group with a disability although we didn’t We were a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children) which included a lively 2 year old so having accommodation all on one level was ideal
There were lovely modern touches that helped the house run amazingly like Alexa’s in every room, voice activated blackout blinds, Netflix/Disney+/etc
Elaine was so easy to deal with and always helped out with any queries I had very quickly

Absolutely beautiful house with stunning views of the estuary. Weather was good and we sat out on the veranda A LOT, drinking in the views and a glass or two of Prosecco. So peaceful but with shops just a five minute drive away.
Elaine was just great, if we needed anything she was there.
The area is stunning, so much to explore, we will definitely be back.

I had been searching for a holiday for a while for myself (an electric wheelchair user) my husband, my mom, my dad (scooter / walker user) my sister and her husband. Unfortunately my dad had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and we really wanted to go on holiday together and make good memories. From the beginning Elaine and Tony were really helpful with booking and talking about our needs. We stayed in BlackBerry - one of the first things we noticed when we arrived was the AMAZING view at the back. We all enjoyed sitting together with a nice coffee in the mornings! The chalet was plenty big enough for all of us and was really easy to navigate in a wheelchair. We loved the motorised blinds and the other bits of technology in the chalet. When Elaine called a few days before we arrived to check everything was ok and to confirm any equipment we needed at the chalet (rails for the toilets etc) she mentioned a galaxy projector which I thought sounded really cool so she left it for us to have a look (safe to say I have now ordered one as I want one at home - it is so relaxing and helps with anxiety!) The kitchen was very well equipped and everything was really clean and tidy. All 3 bedrooms had room for anyone who needs to use mobility equipment. It has been amazing to be able to stay somewhere that seems to understand disabilities and know what is needed to make holidaying easier. This was a really special holiday for us and we have made some really amazing memories. Thank you so much to Elaine and Tony xx

The accommodation is excellent.Spacious,very well equipped,very comfortable with a very informative operational guide book.
The views and surroundings are beautiful,with green open areas and interesting wildlife. Furnishings and beds are extremely comfortable with an extensive patio for eating and relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped and the chalet is very accessible for people who have mobility problems.
There is adequate parking and the chalet is in very peaceful surroundings. My family had a wonderful holiday from the youngest at 6 yrs to theoldest at 82. The proprietors have gone to great lengths to provide facilities for all ages and abilities.

From the moment of booking to the very end, the holiday was bliss. Elaine provides superb service - great communication, how to use videos for the numerous devices in the property, changing of medical aides/equipment and a beautiful, fantastically finished chalet. Views that are forever changing depending on the weather/time of day over the estuary. As a three generation family (83, 82, 50, 16 & 10 plus 2 dogs!) all of us loved staying here.
Elaine even went so far as to drop off a birthday cake for my mother who turned 82 during our stay.
We thoroughly recommend & would love to return again!

Very spacious, immaculate and ultra modern property in a beautiful and peaceful setting. No expense spared. Attention to detail with furniture throughout is first class. Superb outside decking area. Absolutely everything we needed was here, from all kitchen utensils, hand soap, ample towels and toilet rolls. The beds are extremely comfortable too. Information binder is great. Communication excellent throughout. Perfect place 🤩

Excellent accommodation in a quiet, rural location with easy access to coastal towns. It is wheelchair accessible with a variety of additional equipment available as needed including profiling bed, hoist, wet room chair etc. Spotless and detailed instructions to all appliances etc, plus places to visit all much appreciated.

Just back from a week's stay in the Blackberry. The chalet was very spacious especially for a wheelchair user, modern, bright and spotless. You could tell the owners had carefully and thoughtfully planned everything from the layout, to the reclining sofas and chair, the motorised blinds and gadgets. It was great for my daughter who is a wheelchair user to have a profiling bed with rails and bumpers like at home and suitable shower chair. She particularly loved the Galaxy Starry Night Projector. The views from the chalet were idyllic, we loved watching the changing weather over the estuary, the sheep and the hares in the field and all the different birds. It was so quiet and peaceful. Elaine the owner was lovely, she called a few days before to discuss all our equipment requirements, she was also very informative about the area and on our return promptly called to transfer the breakage deposit. The property is in a perfect location for travelling around. We particularly loved the hot ice show at the Pleasure Beach, visiting Penny Farm to meet the rescued horses and the beach wheelchairs at Fleetwood. Would highly recommend this property and we will definitely be back.

THE BEST DISABLED ACCOMMODATION!
We've tried a few disabled accessible accommodations in the last few years, which have all been really nice, but The Estuary riverside chalets is by far THE BEST yet. We stayed in The brambles building which is super Modern, spacious,clean and very easy to get to and from, we travelled (15mins) to Fleetwood everyday to get the tram to Blackpool.
Our son has a large powerchair and he was able to move around the property very easily, the property had everything we needed - profiling bed, mobile hoist, commode chair, large wet room and chair. The beds were extremely comfortable, better than a hotel. Every room had lots of space and can easily sleep 6 people. There was a wide ramp leading into the property and a large decking area with table and chairs outside with a view of the beautiful sheep and little hares chasing each other around the field. We would recommend this accommodation for anyone, but more so for anyone with a disability.

An amazing place - I brought my disabled mum here for a little holiday and she was blown away by how lovely it was. I personally stay in UK cottages for holidays a couple of times every year, and can honestly say I’ve never stayed somewhere so thoughtfully and beautifully put together. It’s very stylish and high tech, as well as being designed specifically for those with additional needs. There’s little how-to videos for all the little gadgets and appliances, and there’s literally everything there that you might need in your stay. Excellent and personal communication with Elaine (the owner) as well, she really goes above and beyond in making sure everything is as perfect as can be. I also received the breakages deposit back immediately after the holiday and with no prompting on my part, so a completely trustworthy business. Honestly I couldn’t recommend this place more. Loved it!!

Wow!! What a fantastic place.High spec and a very peaceful place looking over the estuary.The equipment provided for the disabled was all good quality and it was very easy to request what you required .
We really didn’t want to leave so much so we booked again as soon as we got chance .Thank you Elaine for a fantastic experience we can’t wait to return .

Where to start!

This 3 night stay was kindly donated to my son’s special school by both the Chalet owners (Elaine and Tony) and the Mini coach company for the school (Mark Sambrook). How generous is that! We were the lucky recipients and from start to finish the whole experience was fabulous.

Elaine was brilliant, she sent us all the information regarding the chalets well in advance. Loved how organised she was, she has thought of everything. It's all these special touches that made everything go so smoothly, like the inventory lists to help with our packing, short snappy videos to explain how things worked within the chalet, detailed directions how to get there and things to do whilst we were there too. Elaine also phoned a couple of days before. Nothing was too much trouble for her and said she was just a phone call away if we needed anything which made us feel really looked after.

The chalet itself was just like the photos on the website, spacious, modern, very clean and the welcome Truffles were delicious! We managed to do lots of things: We went for walks locally. We went to the Blackpool Mosque for our Friday prayers which was less than half an hour away and had some fish and chips (Halal) on the promenade. We also visited the Fairhaven Lake, which was really a great day out, the kids had so much fun on the motor boats and crazy golf which is really reasonably priced. We also visited Lytham beach, Morecambe bay and went to an Indian restaurant in Lancaster, which was only half an hour away.

We didn’t get chance to go on the Fleetwood beach which is quite close too (hopefully next time) which has a fantastic charity ‘The Fleetwood beach wheelchair,’ free hires of accessible wheelchairs for the beach, donations are welcome. This is such a great service for wheelchair users, if you have ever tried to go on the beach in a conventional wheelchair it’s near impossible!

There’s so much more we can say but to sum up, The Estuary Riverside Chalet is such a fantastic place to stay with all its mod cons and great accessibility. The location was wonderful with stunning views which is a bonus. So, If you are thinking of booking, with accessible needs or not, please don’t hesitate, you won’t regret it!

This is a really outstanding example of modern luxury accommodation, delivered in a way that offers a high level of accessibility in a gorgeous restful location yet is just 20-40 mins by car from a wide range of holiday activities. Loved our stay and enjoyed walks with the dog into local areas like Hambleton itself, and farther afield.

What’s to love ? Well the accessibility of course, step free throughout, plenty of space and a cracking kitchen setup. Gadgets ? Yep a lot of gadgets and you’d have to be dull not to be made up with the motorised window blinds, linked to Alexa and just ace ! I was amazed and delighted to be able to walk / wheel into Hambleton. Me, our gorgeous labradoodle Rita and at various times friends and family. It’s a relatively short but accessible walk down a narrow road, past the small harbour and in a bit you are wandering around Hambleton, eating at the pub, grabbing chips or shopping at the Spa. Just great !

Really enjoyed so much being within an easy drive, and coming back ‘home’ to that view from a superb large balcony. All reached from the chalet or outside ramp. Dog friendly mattered to us, but it does need a couple of mobile gates to block some areas and even then it’s not fully fenced in but it’s all manageable and the area pretty safe and quiet.

Note the accessibility isn’t a Level 1 ceiling fixed hoisting setup but there’s space for a mobile hoist if needed. Profile beds in several bedrooms and a stunning master bedroom. All round The Estuary is a wonderful holiday stay, a Chalet posher than the name implies and it fits so well into the local environment, we loved seeing the house from across the Estuary in the country park, it’s a great fit and we found ourselves talking to locals about it whilst walking Rita in a great park with a little cafe that serves fabulous ice cream and sausage baps !

Five star owners as well, nothing too much trouble but never OTT. Just a really good vfm stay with local and farther away facilities, not to mention a brilliant link up with the award winning Brick House cottages that do so much to help make quality holiday accommodation available to so many disabled people and indeed anyone who likes a bit of luxury and a view and sunsets to talk about, a lot !!
