Very disappointing experience – service history issue -
I bought a Mercedes A-Class from The Car Co in Bury after being told that the vehicle came with full service records. I was also given documentation relating to the service history and signed a document confirming that I had received the records.

After purchasing the car, I carefully checked the records and discovered that the service records provided to me did not belong to the vehicle I had purchased.

I raised this with the sales executive, Abdul, and initially gave the dealership plenty of opportunity to resolve the matter. I was repeatedly told that it would be looked into and sorted, but despite numerous attempts to follow up, the issue was never resolved. Communication became increasingly difficult, with calls and messages being avoided or not returned.

Because I could no longer rely on the vehicle having genuine service history, this affected its value. After owning the car for around two years, I eventually had to sell it to a car supermarket for below what I believe it would otherwise have been worth, specifically because the service history could not be verified.

What is most disappointing is not simply the lack of genuine service history, but the fact that I raised the issue with the dealership and was repeatedly assured it would be resolved, yet nothing was ultimately done.

I would strongly recommend that anyone buying a vehicle from this dealership independently verifies the service history and checks that the records actually correspond to the vehicle before relying on what they are given.

I purchased a Polestar 2 from the Carco following a test drive. I was looked after by Zubair who was very helpful, friendly and professional. I didn't feel pressured at all to make up my mind in a hurry. The administration was slick and easy.

I was looking particularly for a Polestar but I was impressed by the great looking range of premium cars in their forecourt.

The car was fully charged for my collection.

A problem with a piece of external trim occurred a week after purchase. Unfortunately, this wasn't covered by the standard warranty and I had to resolve it myself. However, to be fair, Zubair telephoned afterwards to make sure that everything had been sorted.

Absolutely avoid this dealership.

Buying the car was the easy part. As soon as something went wrong, the customer service completely disappeared. I paid extra for an extended warranty expecting peace of mind, but it’s been nothing but stress and frustration.

My warranty claim has now been dragging on for around two months. Instead of arranging a proper repair, they sent me a non-genuine part and told me to get it fitted myself with a budget of £100. I’ve spoken to garages who genuinely laughed at that figure because it’s nowhere near enough to cover the work.

For the last month they’ve had the repair quote, yet I’ve had nothing. Calls go unanswered, promises of call-backs never happen, and messages are ignored. I’ve spent weeks chasing them with nothing to show for it. The complete lack of communication is shocking.

The dealership is all smiles and incredibly helpful while they’re taking your money, but once you’ve driven away and need support, you’re left to fend for yourself. They simply don’t seem to care about their customers at all afterwards despite constantly trying to resolve the issue

This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had with any business. I regret paying extra for stupid extended warranty because it’s proven to be worthless with the bloody clowns running this place. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere. If anyone wants proof of how bad this garage is and how hard i have tried to contact them drop me an email i am happy to provide messages and emails to make sure no one wastes their time time with this lot of useless rats!!

I travelled up from London to collect a Tesla Model 3 Highland from The Car Co in Bury and I’m really glad I decided to pick it up in person rather than having it delivered.
From the moment I arrived, Jay was fantastic – friendly, professional and genuinely helpful throughout. He took the time to go through everything properly and made the whole process feel straightforward and stress-free.
The car itself was in immaculate condition, exactly as described, and I was able to take it for a proper test drive before finalising anything. All the paperwork and documents were ready and waiting, so once I’d checked everything over I could drive it away there and then.
Really happy with the whole experience from start to finish. Highly recommend The Car Co and especially Jay if you’re looking for a quality used car.

I recently purchased a car from The Car Company and can honestly say the experience was exceptional from start to finish.
As entered the sales room, I was greeted by Mark. Mark was brilliant. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism and personality – knowledgeable, patient and genuinely helpful, with just the right amount of banter to make the whole experience enjoyable. At no point did I feel pressured, and he somehow managed to make car buying feel more like chatting with a friend who happened to know everything about cars.
He answered every question (and there were plenty), put up with my indecisiveness and guided me through the process with endless patience. Whether that patience is natural or something The Car Company specifically trains for, I'm not sure!
I absolutely love my new car and couldn't be happier with my purchase. In fact, I spent most of the drive home looking for excuses to go somewhere. Need milk? I'll go. Need to post a letter? Absolutely. Fancy a trip to Scotland? Give me ten minutes.
The Car Company should be incredibly proud of the service they provide and Mark is a real credit to the business. If you're looking for a new car and want a genuinely enjoyable buying experience, I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Purchased a vehicle from this dealership that unfortunately developed major mechanical issues shortly after delivery. When I contacted the dealer to resolve the matter and return the vehicle, they were entirely uncooperative, refused to accept the return, and attempted to impose unfair administrative fees.

Because the dealership refused to assist or offer an acceptable solution, the matter had to be escalated to a third party to achieve a resolution. Ultimately, a full refund was issued through the CredCard, but only after significant effort by me. The customer service was incredibly disappointing once a problem was found. I would advise future buyers to be very cautious, get an independent check before any money exchanges hands and ensure they have adequate buyer protection in place before purchasing.

The work was carried out and the issues fixed.

I dropped the car at 9.30am and was told at 12.30 that the m.o.t had failed and was given a quote for the fix which I was very happy with. I was told that the car would be ready for 5.30 and at around 5.15 I received a call and was informed that the wrong parts were ordered and so the car wouldn’t be ready that day.

Slightly annoying but not a big problem and I was offered a courtesy car over the phone. The garage is about 25 minutes away from my home so I arranged for a relative to pick me up and take me to the garage. I was given the keys to the courtesy car and after not being able to find the car in the car park the lady who served me couldn’t apologise enough and said that it seems another customer had taken the courtesy car with the other set of keys.

Luckily the person that gave me a lift had waited for me because they then had to bring me back home.

I don’t think this reflects the competency of the garage and I’m sure it’s an isolated issue but that’s the reason for the three star rating.

I was also told that as an apology the car would be washed and valeted and that I wouldn’t be charged any extra because the parts required were actually more expensive than the wrong parts that were ordered. How true that statement is I’m not too sure and after picking up the car it had been washed and the carpets were cleaned but to the same standard that it was done last year so I don’t expect they have done any more than the bare minimum that they offer to everyone.

I still have another years included m.o.t and service as part of the deal when purchasing the car but I don’t think after next year I would go out of my way to take it to this garage.

I would however purchase another vehicle from here in future but maybe avoid the m.o.t and servicing

⚠️ Avoid This Dealership – Extremely Disappointing Experience ⚠️

I visited this dealership with my friend; he bought a Toyota Prius, and I purchased a 2023 Lexus ES300h.

On the day of the test drive, the vehicle was covered in heavy dust and dirt, making it difficult to properly inspect the paintwork and body condition. Trusting the dealership, I proceeded with the purchase.

However, on the day of delivery, once the vehicle had been cleaned, multiple issues became visible, including deep scratches, scuffs, paint defects, and a misaligned passenger door. When I raised these concerns immediately, I was assured by staff that the issues would be logged, photographed, and resolved in a way that would leave me satisfied.

Unfortunately, this was followed by weeks of stressful phone calls and delays. Eventually, I was instructed to obtain an official repair quotation from a body shop. I did so and received a written quotation/invoice totaling £700 for front bumper paintwork, driver-side wing repair, and passenger door realignment.

When I later presented this quotation, I was shocked by the response from management. Instead of trying to resolve the matter professionally, I experienced what I considered rude and dismissive behavior, and I was told they would not contribute toward the repairs.

The entire experience caused significant stress and disappointment, especially considering the amount of money spent on the vehicle. I am sharing my experience publicly so that future customers can make informed decisions before purchasing from this dealership.

اما روز تحویل، بعد از شسته شدن خودرو، ایرادات زیادی مشخص شد؛ از جمله خط و خش‌های عمیق، ایرادات رنگ، و رگلاژ نبودن درب سمت شاگرد. وقتی همان لحظه اعتراض کردم، کارکنان مجموعه گفتند که همه موارد ثبت و عکس‌برداری می‌شود و مشکل به شکلی حل خواهد شد که رضایت کامل داشته باشم.

متأسفانه بعد از آن، هفته‌ها تماس تلفنی، پیگیری و استرس شروع شد. در نهایت از من خواسته شد خودرو را به صافکاری و نقاشی ببرم و برآورد رسمی هزینه تهیه کنم. من نیز این کار را انجام دادم و فاکتور رسمی ۷۰۰ پوندی برای رنگ سپر جلو، تعمیر گلگیر سمت راننده و تنظیم درب سمت شاگرد دریافت کردم.

اما زمانی که این برآورد را ارائه دادم، برخورد مدیریت بسیار ناامیدکننده بود. به جای تلاش برای حل حرفه‌ای مشکل، رفتار بسیار بی‌احترام و غیرمسئولانه‌ای دیدم و به من گفته شد که هیچ مبلغی بابت تعمیرات پرداخت نخواهند کرد.

تمام این تجربه برای من استرس و ناراحتی زیادی ایجاد کرد، مخصوصاً با توجه به مبلغ بالای خرید خودرو. این تجربه را به اشتراک می‌گذارم تا مشتریان آینده بتوانند با آگاهی بیشتری تصمیم بگیرند.

Extremely happy with our purchase of the BMW 1 series. Zubair was absolutely outstanding from start to finish! He greeted us with with a smile on arrival and had the car ready and waiting to view. He made sure the whole process was as simple and straight forward as it could be, made us feel super comfortable and went above and beyond to make sure we were more than happy with everything! Buying cars can be an overwhelming experience however we knew we were in safe hands as soon as we met Abdul. Abdul answered all our questions and gave us sound advice on the cars we were interested in.
