Good but could be even better
The special delivery envelope that arrived is great, I quite liked the books that came with it, the worksheets would probably be suited to a child a bit older, my toddler just scribbled on them and the props/toys will probably not get used much. The inclusion of something like flashcards or an alphabet chart would have suited her better. Also if the nursery rhyme had a picture on she might have been a bit more interested. My child loves to read but I'm not sure the books included will become favourites.

Thanks for giving The Bear Can Read a go; we hope we can welcome you back when your daughter is a bit older and can make better use of the worksheet activity sets. Flashcards is something we include for children when they are learning to read; with sound and trick word flashcards included at Koala and Honey levels. We love the feedback about the nursery rhyme card and will be adding a QR code to help parents find the music to sing along!

If you're looking for exceptional children's books, this store is a treasure trove! Every book we've ordered has been fantastic, captivating my kids' imaginations and igniting their love for reading. The icing on the cake is the speedy delivery service, which keeps my kids eagerly anticipating their new literary adventures.

Very supportive staff i ordered wrong book colour and returned it and got correct colour back in post with postage paid for, plenty of work sheets and books to do us over a month

For a couple of years and my children love it , the service is second to none
(Even had a query resolved by owner while they were on a family holiday #dedication )
We love the diverse range of books supplied and great attention to books on feeling , morals and family values.
My children re-use work sheets provided and have come on leaps and bounds by having this as part of their curriculum.
Not to mention an personally address gift box in the mail every month.
They live the little gifts and we are now avid drinker of Tom's teas xx

This children's book was a delightful find! The story was beautifully written, with rhythmic language that made it a joy to read aloud. The illustrations were whimsical and brought the story to life, captivating my child's imagination.

I think the kits are great but think my son would benefit at his current age/stage from a blend of more interesting books I could read to him which I used to receive at an earlier stage and also some blending books and activities that are more geared towards him reading.

Thanks for your feedback. At Teddy level (age 3-4) which is the level you started, we provide 3 picture books for you to read to your child; but as you progress to Koala (age 4-5) this is a shift to learning-to-read where the books are for your child to read to you to help them learn the sounds that match up perfectly with the activity sheets provided to help your child consolidate their learning. These are phonic readers that are simple stories for your child to use to build their confidence when they are learning to read.

My daughter is 2 and book-obsessed. She gets so excited to receive her monthly package and although I feel some of the activities are a little too advanced right now, we enjoy looking at them.
The best thing about it is how flexible it is. I've just paused ours until end of summer as we have so many books at the moment, so loved that I had that option instead of cancelling. As a parent I'd love to have the option of some resources to help me to support my daughters learning to read (age appropriate) and maybe some games / jigsaws included that fit with the monthly themes.

Absolutely fantastic
Absolutely fantastic. Our son loves his subscription delivered to us with his name on (he feel so grown up when the delivery comes for him). His already good reading is now superb and his phonics have improved so much that his school have praised what we’re doing at home. The packs are so much fun and completely on point for his learning. Such a brilliant concept, my only annoyance is that we didn’t hear about The Bear Can Read sooner!!!

Amazing books and educational worksheets
Myself and my daughter absolutely loved every order we got from the bear can read. We have been subscribed for many months and enjoyed everything about it. Being a Nursery Practitioner myself, the quality of the work sheets and how they link in with the books etc, it’s really good stuff!
