Taylor Walton Anmeldelser

Having dealt with both Jamiel & Samantha on this occasion I am very pleased that a difficult situation was dealt with in a very professional & efficient manner & would not hesitate to use Taylor Walton should the need arise in the future.

Thank you to Caroline and her team for a seamless experience while selling my late mother’s home. Special mention to Davinia whose calm, efficient and skilled support was a constant throughout. Also to Howard who responded promptly and skilfully when a new Deed of Variation was required. Excellent service at a difficult time. Thank you.

The staff are professional, efficient and highly responsive. Edward and Luccia always kept us well informed and we felt in safe hands throughout the whole process. All in all it was a fantastic service and we highly recommend Taylor Walton.

Taylor Walton represented me in a property transfer. Mr Caterer is clearly highly experienced in his field and completed the job in a timely and highly professional way despite having to work to a tight timescale. I am a fairly demanding customer but have no hesitation in highly recommend this firm, and Mr Caterer in particular; absolutely outstanding.

From the moment we began the sale and purchase process, Daljit Dale proved to be an invaluable asset. The entire transaction can be a maze of legal jargon, deadlines and unforeseen complications but Daljit guided us through it all with ease, poise and sheer expertise.

Daljit’s deep understanding of property law meant every question we had was answered with clarity and precision. She knew exactly what to do and, just as importantly, what not to do, safeguarding our interests every step of the way.
These kinds of situations can be overwhelmingly stressful, but Daljit kept us sane! She provided regular updates, realistic timelines and practical solutions that made the process feel manageable and less daunting.
She didn’t treat us as just another case. Daljit took the time to understand our needs, offering tailored advice rather than a one‑size‑fits‑all approach.
Throughout the entire process, Daljit and Zoe werr responsive and transparent. They communicated clearly about potential problems and made sure we were always in the loop.

I cannot recommend Daljit and her team enough.
If you are looking for a solicitor who combines epic legal knowledge, excellent communication and a calm, reassuring tone, Daljit is the one to go to, every single time.
I will be recommending her to everyone I know!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Taylor Walton during a recent property purchase was well below the standard expected of a professional conveyancing firm.

Communication was a constant struggle. Many of my questions went unanswered or were met with vague, non-committal replies that didn’t clarify the legal position. I often felt I had to chase repeatedly just to understand what was happening, and at times I was told something would be done only to later discover that the responsibility had been shifted back to me without any clear explanation.

There were also several lapses in attention to detail — including sending a completion statement that omitted an agreed price reduction, requiring me to point it out. Updates were frequently incomplete or confusing, creating unnecessary stress throughout the process. Especially given how long and complex the transaction became, I expected more proactive guidance, clearer communication, and a more supportive approach.

I’m glad the purchase is now complete, but the experience was far more difficult than it needed to be. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Taylor Walton based on this experience.

Superb team and excellent help and support; everyone was great but a special thank you to Tom!

Used them to change land registry. Started the process then ignored my emails to ask for progress. After a couple of weeks, I called them and they still couldn't provide an answer, and became quite defensive.

Really wouldn't recommend the Harpenden branch. It wasn't a pleasant experience waiting for an answer, and then feeling like you're a bother whenever you contact them. Very poor communication.

I explored five different solicitors before making my decision. Some initial emails lacked detail about the lease extension process, while a few others were quite pricey. Ultimately, I chose Taylor Walton because their initial email provided the right amount of information about the lease extension process. During my first phone call with Tracey Taylor, she thoroughly explained the process and associated costs, demonstrating professionalism and expertise. Throughout the entire process, Tracey and her team kept me well-informed, responding to emails on the same day, which contributed to a very smooth experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Taylor Walton to anyone looking to extend a flat lease.

Excellent service again.
Taylor Walton and specifically Tom Caterer have acted for us on a number of occasions, on both domestic and commercial matters, and we have always received excellent service

Everything was easy and smooth and we were always informed at each step.

My experience with Taylor Walton so far has been disappointing and stressful.

Some emails have gone unanswered, which has made the process more stressful than it needed to be.

The team seems disorganised, and their lack of communication has caused unnecessary stress. Simple queries that could be resolved with a quick response are often ignored. It seems they are just using emails without a proper system to track them.

We also spotted mistakes in documents that required correction, which was concerning.

There has been little clear guidance about the next steps, leaving us uncertain about the progress of our purchase, particularly challenging if you haven't done this before.

Overall, I expected a smoother and more responsive service. I hope the firm takes this feedback on board to improve communication and client support. This is a throwaway account as I’d prefer to remain anonymous, but this review reflects my genuine experience.

The seller used this firm during the sale of their property I was trying to buy. What should have been a simple house purchase turned into nearly 11 months of frustration before I finally had to walk away.

The biggest issue was their lack of communication. Emails often went unanswered for weeks, updates were rare, and it felt like there was no urgency at all on their side. Other parties involved in the process pointed to this firm as the main source of delays, and I have to agree.

The experience was stressful, disheartening, and ultimately cost me a huge amount of time. I would strongly advise others to avoid this firm if you want your conveyancing handled efficiently

Recommended to us by friends for conveyancing in our house move, Tom Caterer and team did an excellent job in helping to keep the buying and selling process as smooth, efficient and painless as possible for us. They instilled confidence that the process was being managed professionally through all legal processes. Thank you

The team at Taylor Walton have assisted us through a difficult time with care and professionalism.

Lauren went above and beyond to put together a comprehensive report to defend a misrepresentation claim a family member was facing. This report marked the end of the matter, for which we are very grateful. Communication was excellent throughout and pricing was fair.

They say moving house is stressful—but not if your lucky enough to be working with Samina & Anne. Honestly, they made the whole legal process feel seamless. Friendly, professional, and genuinely compassionate, they kept us updated every step of the way. Even with the challenges of being in a long chain, they handled everything and made sure it all came together. Couldn’t have asked for better support!

I was kept updated at all stages with my conveyancing transaction. Very professional staff who worked at a pace where I needed to things to speed up towards the end due to external factors. They made it happen. Very happy customer here

Taylor Walton Solicitors are the best!

My wife and I have appointed Taylor Walton for all our legal requirements for decades.
As a Firm they have been 100% excellent in achieving our goals from complicated litigation to property purchases and sales.
Six months ago, we decided to sell another of our BTL properties – in this case a freehold 4-bedroom house.
The purchasers were first time buyers and there wasn’t a chain so it should have been a very straight forward sale.
Unfortunately, it turned out to be far from straight forward as many challenges and potential problems surfaced through the process.
Taylor Walton’s tenacity, patience and speed of actions on all required responses saved the sale and it completed successfully.
Tom Caterer, Partner in the Residential Property Division of Taylor Walton, is the most efficient Solicitor I have ever appointed and with the very able back up of Phoebe Craig they are a dream team for all property sale and purchase requirements.
My wife and I highly recommend Taylor Walton Solicitors to everyone who desires total conveyancing expertise together with full legal efficiency and knowledge at a very competitive fee level.
A magic mix!
