Would have given a lower rating if possible. Recieved card as a $200.00 company bonus. Was happy to get the little bonus until I read the details on the card. No way to get cash even after you assign a pin number. I wanted cash because what I want to use the money for is not at a retail store. So I am owed 200 but I have to go to a store and pay retail. It is my 200 let me have my money. This is a terrible experience and terrible idea. It is like someone owing you money, paying you back and deciding how to spend you money. DO NOT BUY DO NOT RECOMMEND

Chris - Congratulations on your bonus, but I'm sorry you're disappointed with the prepaid card. There are several reasons why prepaid cards aren't redeemable at ATMs, including protections against fraud and money laundering. They're also more secure than cash and easier for your company to manage and award.
Many recipients use their cards to pay bills, buy gas or groceries, or offset other household expenses with the extra money. That frees up $200 from your budget that you would have spent on groceries (but paid with your card), so it is now available to spend on your non-retail purchase.
Prepaid cards are designed to be extremely flexible, and can be redeemed anywhere their debit network cards are accepted — which is practically everywhere. I hope you can find a use for the card!

Please Don’t Order Gift Cards from a Third Party like SVM
I’ve had to call twice, after waiting 10 business days without receiving the gift cards I ordered. I asked them to just cancel the cards and now that will take “up to a week”. I will now have to follow up a third time.
I had to learn the hard way that it’s just better to get a gift card directly from the store or website rather than a third party. Way too inconvenient to track the cards down, call repeatedly and then wait again to cancel (while they keep the fees!). Very disappointed.

Christine - I'm very sorry for your experience and understand your disappointment.
Your order was shipped via First Class Mail which, unfortunately, is not trackable; Our checkout process and FAQ explain this before finishing the purchase. When a First Class shipment appears to be lost, we ask customers to wait a few days for it to arrive before devaluing the cards, as the shipments have a tendency to arrive. After that wait, we can request devaluation of some brands of gift cards.
Kelsey, SVM's Customer Care Manager, explained this to you over the phone on November 6th and promised to follow up with you a few days later with an update. On November 8th, we were able to devalue the card and Kelsey communicated this to you via email and voicemail.
We hope your next shopping experience with SVM meets your expectations.

AJ - I'm sorry for your experience. You purchased a card, opted for First Class Mail shipping without tracking, and the shipment was lost. There's nothing we can do to find the item as there is no tracking, and the brand you purchased is not one we can devalue. Our shipping terms clearly state that we cannot replace First Class Mail shipments that are lost after they leave our facilities.
Again, we are sorry your experience had matched the millions of happy cardholders we serve each year.

SVM IS A COMPANY WITH A VERY POOR CONSUMER ATTITUDE. [ PURCHASED THREE EXXON MOBIL GAS CARDS EACH WITH A VALUE OF FIFTY DOLLARS. I WANTED TO CHECK THE BALANCE ON EACH CARD AND USED THE WEB SITE PRINTED ON THE BACK OF THE CARD.
THIS SITE OPENS AT TIMES AND FOR THE MOST PART IS UNAVAILABLE. I HAVE TRIED TO CALL THEM USING THE NUMBER 800.919.8646 ALSO GETTING INFORMATION IS IMPOSSIBLE HAVE USED ANOTHER SITE WHICH WAS JUST AS BAD. WHAT DOES SVM CARE ABOUT THE CONSUMER WITH THEIR POOR RECORD THEY ARE SAYING CONSUMER GO TO HELL. I WILL CONTACT EXXON MOBIL AND INFORM THEM ABOUT SVS.

As you can imagine, no technological service can have 100% "up-time" and it sounds like you may have tried to reach us during a brief outage. Have you been able to confirm your balance? Frustrated at first. BUT Helpful customer service
Although it was easy to begin the process, my gift card is still at large since July 22 and I have been able to reach no one to help me problem solve the issue.
I received an immediate response from my initial review. Customer service was able to cancel the initial order and send out a new gift card. They responded quickly and were very helpful
