Our Bergen to Kirkenes trip with Havila went as smoothly as the sea that week which meant almost everything went to plan and we could not fault the organisation. There were a couple of minor issues with the information from Havila but overall we were very satisfied with the service we received from Penny and Lyn, keeping us updated and answering our questions. I would heartily recommend them to anyone considering a similar trip.

Mike and the team organised our trip with utmost care and attention to detail. Having explained what I and 5 family members were looking for he explained the various options. We didn't want a big liner and the choice of Havila was bang on.
All the tickets, timings and complete itinerary were sent with adequate, clear hints or instructions. As a result of their experience and professional approach we had a great 9 day trip, including a stopover in Oslo which is a fascinating city. We contacted Suitcase Travel because we were considering a Norwegian Coastal Cruise and found Mike's excellent comparison of Havila and Hurtigruten the Suitcase website. Mike was very helpful on the phone and responsive by email and, at fairly short notice, made all the arrangements for us to take the round trip on Havila in August 2025.
All their arrangements worked perfectly, the flights, taxi transfers to and from Bergen airport, the hotel in central Bergen and the cruise itself.
The Havila ships' cabins and public areas are well designed and comfortable. The "small dish" food concept was new to us and worked really well.
We loved the silent progress through fjords under electric power.

The weather could have been better but despite that we thoroughly enjoyed the trip, thanks to Suitcase Travel.

We came across Suitcase Travel when reading their blog comparing Hurtigruten and Havila ships for Norwegian fjord cruises. We had never done a cruise before and didn’t fancy the huge cruise liner ships with thousands of people but wanted to see the fjords. This was a really good move knowing the whole trip would be ATOL protected for peace of mind. Suitcase Travel arranged a very memorable artic excursion to Norway for us this year. We had an initial idea about a city break in Tromso and then a coastal cruise to Bergen but their expertise in these areas allowed them to refine the idea into a proper adventure. We had 3 days in Tromso (so much to see and do), 4 days on a Havila coastal voyage (highly recommended), a day in Bergen, a wonderfully scenic rail way journey from Bergen to Oslo, and then a few days in Oslo to finish the trip. Suitcase Travel made all the bookings for us and put us in some fantastic hotels - including the wonderfully located Hotel With, right on the quayside in Tromso. We even had tickets for the airport transfer bus and train which made everything really easy.

And even when it looked like the Heathrow fire might delay the start of our trip, Suitcase Travel were already working the problem for us and called us back, as promised. This is a great travel company, and you are in safe and knowledgeable hands. I have no hesitation in recommending them.
